Summary : AUTHODIDACTE (4) scored over 2400m by 3L on her latest outing. She seems to be
improving and is the selection in a strong handicap. RUE DE L’AUDE (6) could make her rivals
work hard for a win. She did well when third on her last outing at Clairefontaine in mid-August.
MARELIE (2) has plenty of weight to carry but has been running very well all year and should once
again give a consistent effort. APALAIN (7) won last time and arrives with his confidence at a
premium.

3. SEMENOVKA – 2nd on her only start at Saint-Malo in early August over 1600m. Can make
progress and be involved
4. WAY TO MARBELLA – 6th on August 31st over 1500m on her only run so far at Parislongchamp.
Others rate higher
5. MA MOME – Ran a reasonable race when 5th in a Group 3 race 15 days ago. Has won four
claimers and is very honest. Might be bumping into some promising types
6. OVATION – Good 3rd on her only run in late June over 1500m. Can improve a good deal for that
outing and is sure to play a part
7. MARJANE – Newcomer by Fast Company, her shrewd trainer will have this filly well prepared
for her debut. Watch the betting for clues
8. MAYWE – Unraced filly by Ribchester, might be better for this experience. Any market support
should be noted
9. MME JOURDAIN – Daughter of Kodiac, from the Fabre powerhouse. Her dam was useful
winning at Listed level and placed in Group 2 races. Can not be overlooked
Summary : MONTEILLE (2) ran a solid race at Deauville on her latest outing when a very close
third of eight runners. She is on the improve, can use her experience and looks the best option.
OVATION (6) did well when third on her only start in a field of unraced fillies in late June. The race
has worked out, as the second won on its next run and has been placed in a Class 2 race. She has
been given some time to mature and is a certain player. MME JOURDAIN (9) has a taking profile
and could be smart. SEMENOVKA (3) is another that needs consideration.

1. GOLDEN PHARAOH – Two unplaced runs so far, the latter over 1500m 10 days ago. Looks out
of his depth
2. WELCOME CHARLY – Ran with promise when 6th over 1400m in late August. Should be better
for that outing and figure at the finish
3. BLACK GANGSTER – Taking debut at Clairefontaine when a close up 2nd over 1400m in late
August. Live chance
4. SHIRBAWI – Nice 4th over 1400m on debut in late August. Can make a step forward from that
effort, but has a bit to find with BLACK GANGSTER (3) who was 2nd in the same race. Place
chance
5. THUNDERHEART – 5th on his only run over 1400m at Clairefontaine in the same race as two of
his rivals who ran in the same race. Can be on the premises
6. HANTANO – 4th on the last run over 1200m at Chantilly in early July. Needs more to win but is
in the mix
7. DAY TRADER – Newcomer by Expert Eye, can improve for this outing. Monitor and support in
the betting
8. MAITRE DE CHANT – Newcomer by Siyouni, Fabre trained. Her dam won a Listed race and
was Group 3 placed. Can play a lead role on debut
9. PIU DREAM – Newcomer by Dream Ahead, should improve for this debut run. Watch the betting
closely for any interest
10. CORTADO – Colt by Holy Roman Emperor, should be better for this experience. Market can
be informative
Summary : BLACK GANGSTER (3) made a taking debut at Clairefontaine when finishing 1.5L
behind the winner in second place. He can be more streetwise today and looks the likely winner.
The Fabre-trained son of Siyouni is MAITRE DE CHANT (8) who could be anything. His dam was
a useful performer and he should be watched closely for any interest in the betting market.
SHIRBAWI (4) warrants respect after a good debut run when fourth in late August at Clairefontaine.
THUNDERHEART (5) makes up the shortlist.

3. BLESS – Ran well at Royal Ascot when 8th of 29 runners in a Class 2 handicap. Has been given
a break since. Will be fit and very competitive
4. PONTY – Nice 3rd in a Class 1 race over 2000m 11 days ago at Parislongchamp. Listed placed
in June at the same track three runs ago. Player
5. DANCING GODDESS – 5th over 1600m at Ascot (GBR) on her latest run in early May. Has
transferred to the Pantall yard under the same ownership. Can be on the premises
6. AL ALAALI – 3rd over 1900m in a claimer in early August on his latest outing. Others make more
appeal
Summary : BLESS (3) ran well at Royal Ascot in a very competitive Class 2 handicap in June. Has
had some time off, but he will be ready for this race and gets the vote ahead of PONTY (4) who
was a good third in a Class 1 race 11 days ago over 2000m. He was Listed placed in June and he
can feature. DANCING GODDESS (5) has been transferred to the Pantall yard under the same
ownership of Godolphin. She has ability and ought to be thereabouts. TREMBLANT (1) won last
time in a handicap at Deauville last month over 1500m, and warrants respect.

but can not be discounted

weights and should be competitive

and has scored off a much higher handicap mark previously. SANDSTORM (2) will likely try to
make life very difficult for the selection. He won off 1.5kg higher in November and his latest run was
encouraging. CRISALSA (1) can play a prominent role despite having top-weight. He likes this
racecourse having scored over 1600m in April. BECH RIVER (7) could fare best of the remainder.
