Race Summary: Summary: ABADDON (5) started at long odds on debut but finished a close-up second. He takes on a number of first timers here but he comes from the in-form Mike Miller stable and should build on his debut effort. Michael Roberts has given young apprentice Brevan Plaatjies both of his winners to date and Plaatjies looks to have a solid chance on CHAMPONELLE (10) who was just four lengths back to the unbeaten Sovereign State last time out. However, stable rider Rachel Venniker is about the first timer PLETTENBERG (9) so should be worth monitoring in the market. BEACH PALACE (13) was another not far back on debut and with a four-claimer up, his chances cannot be ignored. COMMON GROUNDS (3) has shown some promise for Darryl Moore in his first two starts but he has been rested and may need the outing.

Race Summary: Summary: Mostly first timers so the betting will probably be your best guide. Of those that have run, ONE SMART COOKIE (2) made a promising debut for Tienie Prinsloo whose runners finish second in three races last Sunday. He will be hoping for better luck here but there are a number of first timers in the race. PRANKSTER (3) was a well-beaten fourth on debut but likely to make good improvement for Gareth van Zyl as should THESUPERNOVASTAR (7) for Kom Naidoo. The recently re-named MADAME ZEE (10) is a long-time maiden but has not been far back at recent outings although her best form has been on the poly.

Race Summary: Summary: CUE THE REBEL (1) has found the money in all three starts and has a hefty handicap rating. If the handicappers have got it right, Sean Tarry’s filly could be hard to beat. PIECE BY PIECE (6) has shown some promise in competitive maidens and goes well on this course. Rachel Venniker claims her 1.5kg allowance for Michael Roberts, all in the filly’s favour. WITCHWOOD (4) has been close up in two starts in blinkers. She goes the 4extra furlong here but should be in the firing line along with Paul Gadsby’s filly PRETTY ANALIA (3) who has been consistent and finished just ahead of Witchwood when last they met.

Race Summary: Summary: Tony Rivalland fancied KING OF THE GAULS (7) to run a cracker on debut but the colt ran into a strong maiden field and was caught out by a lack of experience. With Richard Fourie in the irons there is unlikely to be many backing against him this time around. TEATIME TIPPLE (5) was a touch disappointing when sent out favourite on this course last time out but Stuart Ferrie has dropped him back in trip which could see him finish a lot closer. COTTON RON (6) is a long-time maiden but the Goosen stable is finding form. However, his best recent form has been on the poly. RAILROAD (3) has shown patches of ability and has a money chance at best.

Race Summary: Summary: A few in with chances. KITTY MO (13) has been making steady improvement for an in form stable. Duncan Howells sends her over a little extra which should suit and she rates a strong chance. FLIGHT DISPLAY (8) finished behind Royal Mo when last they met but both step up in trip and there should not be much between the two. PRINCESS AZARIAH (1) has been a beaten favourite at her last two and can make amends for Sean Tarry although she does face another competitive field. Darryl Moore fitted blinkers and a tongue-tie to DYMONDIA (10) for her second start and she showed marked improvement on her debut effort, although that was a sprint. She too will enjoy the extra and would not be a surprise winner.

Race Summary: Summary: Tricky maiden with a number of the fancied runners going the trip for the first time and drawn wide. CAPTAIN MARSALA (14) made marked improvement on his debut when Gareth van Zyl tried him in blinkers. He had the widest draw then and has the widest draw here which will make things tricky. LAST ONE STANDING (11) and CONNOISSEUR (12) both try the trip for the first time. Last One Standing has finished close-up in two sprints for Glen Kotzen and his pedigree suggests that he will be more effective over this trip. The same goes for Connoisseur who looks set for significant improvement for Duncan Howells. ANDY COOGLE (10) improved in blinkers and back on turf and can finish in the money.

Race Summary: Summary: Tricky handicap. Gareth van Zyl has two lively contenders in EVENING PRIMROSE (9) and DESERT ROSE (10). The latter has shown steady form and two good efforts since returning from the Cape but the former has feature race form in useful company. Of concern is that both have not been out since March and may need the outing. A better proposition could be ASIYE PHAMBILI (4). The filly has improved since arriving in KZN and was a comfortable winner last time out. She got a modest handicap increase for that win and can go in again. Sean Tarry’s mare MAGICAL FLIGHT (6) finished behind Asiye Phambili when last they met. She is never far behind and must be included in all calculations.

Michael Roberts has stepped him down in class and with a 1.5kg allowance he must be a big runner. NEITHERHERENORTHER (6) is lightly raced and his best runs have been over course and distance. He takes on a useful field here but should go close. PERFECT OUTLOOK (2) was a recent maiden winner after returning from a lengthy break. He obviously has ability and off a light weight could go in again. THE GLIDING FISH (4) is never far back. He has bottom weight and goes well over course and distance.
