R1 – PRIX DE LA VILLE D’ANDERNOS-LES-BAINS – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Condition Race – Class 3 – Flat – EUR € 16.000

1. LE SAGE – Decent 2nd at Dax on the last run over 1400m in late July. Can be hard to beat
2. NANGA PARBAT – 5th in a Class 3 race last time over 1600m at Vichy 10 days ago. Can be
involved
3. SAINT SEVER – Unplaced last time, but won a maiden before that over 1800m at Gabarret in
May. Place possibilities
4. VASDA – Unplaced in a Listed race last time over 1400m in July. Drops in class and capable of
bold show
5. KHAMALGANE – 4th at Dax last time over 1400m 18 days ago. Others look more likely

Summary : Narrowly beaten at Dax last time over 1400m last month when second LE SAGE (1)
could score here. He looks the most progressive of the lineup. VASDA (4) has been mixing it in
much stronger races, her last run was in a Listed race at Deauville in July when unplaced. The drop
in class will enable her to be very competitive. NANGA PARBAT (2) won her maiden and then
found a Class 2 race too much, her last run in a competitive Class 3 race was encouraging, she is
not totally out of this. SAINT SEVER (3) has work to do to play a leading role.

SELECTIONS
LE SAGE (1) – VASDA (4) – NANGA PARBAT (2) – SAINT SEVER (3)

R2 – PRIX ANDRE BOINGNERES – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Condition Race – Newcomers – Flat – EUR € 23.000

1. SOMKIYR – Newcomer by Zarak, nice profile and from a leading trainer. Can score on debut.
Watch the betting patterns
2. THARPE – Colt by Toronado, could be the second string of the yard, although he can be in the
shake-up. Market support should be noted
3. MANTILLY – Gelded son of Al Wukair, a nice run can be expected from a shrewd stable. Watch
the betting patterns
4. FRENCH PICNIC – Newcomer by Kheleyf, nice run anticipated on debut. Any market support
should be noted
5. PADDY WHITE HEART – Filly by Cloth Of Stars, a likable profile. Could need further in time and
be much better for this run
6. SWING CITY – City Light filly, the dam won over 1400m. Can be on the premises on debut outing.
Market best watched
7. MADAME LYDIA – Filly by Morandi, will be better for this outing. Any market support should be
monitored
8. MAHA DIVA – Daughter of Born To Sea, can progress for this run. Market best watched for
guidance
9. QUENJA BLAST – Filly by Kodi Bear, can be wiser for this debut run. Market can be informative
10. LEPSA – Filly by Wootton Bassett, top trainer who can ready a juvenile. Market clues can
indicate expected performance
11. POPPIE SAN – Newcomer by Kendargent, the stable runners tend to need a run or two. Market
can guide

Summary : All unraced with some nice pedigrees, with the son of Zarak, SOMKIYR (1) who is
from the Jean-Claude Rouget camp, who has two lining up. He will be expected to make a winning
start under Jean-Bernard Eyquem. LEPSA (10) is bred to be a two-year-old with a speedy pedigree,
she could be the main rival to the likely favourite. SWING CITY (6) could be one to pay attention to
in the betting, she is from a good stable. THARPE (2) is interesting, although could be the second
string of the Rouget pair.

SELECTIONS
SOMKIYR (1) – LEPSA (10) – SWING CITY (6) – THARPE (2)

R3 – PRIX LOUIS DUBOURG – 1100m (a5 1/2f) – TURF – Condition Race – Class 2 – Flat – EUR € 22.000

1. LESSLEPASSER – Won a Class 2 handicap three runs ago at Dieppe in June. Unplaced in a
Listed race last time. Player
2. IMPITOYABLE – Three unplaced runs of late, 3rd before that over 1200m at Chantilly in a Class
2 handicap. Consider
3. INSTRUIT – Has won at this track over the 1100m two runs ago in June, not quite up to the Class
2 race last time last month. In the mix
4. PRADARO – Will be fitter for the run last time in late July over 1000m at Vichy. Capable but not
totally reliable
5. TOMILA – Won over 1100m last time at this track in early July in a Class 2 race. Sets the standard
6. DREAM PLATINE – Three unplaced runs, the latter in Listed Class over 1000m on August 6th.
Others better equipped

Summary : A winner of a Class 2 race over this track last time TOMILA (5) should be too smart for
her rivals and will likely be short odds to score. INSTRUIT (3) is also a winner over course and
distance two runs ago. He can be the biggest threat. LESSLEPASSER (1) has won over 1100m
before but has raced over 1000m on the last three runs. He can not be ruled out. IMPITOYABLE
(2) is more than capable of a bold show. He can not be ruled out of making his presence felt.

SELECTIONS
TOMILA (5) – INSTRUIT (3) – LESSLEPASSER (1) – IMPITOYABLE (2)

Others rate higher
4. BAND JO AA – Unplaced last time over 2100m at Dax 18 days ago. Looks hard to recommend

In the mix

make more sense
9. LA RUIZA AA – Has two 2nd placed runs, the latter over 2100m at Dax 18 days ago. Leading
chance

Summary : Winning for the second time when last seen VERTIGO POMPADOUR AA (1) looks
like the best option in a competitive event. LA RUIZA AA (9) seems to be getting better with
experience. She has two second-placed runs so far and a win is on the horizon. She was narrowly
beaten by VERTIGO POMPADOUR AA (1) when last seen in early July over 2150m, back in third
place in the same race was HALDASYRA AA (5) who can once again make the frame, she is 1kg
better off today at the weights. HINDLYLA AA (6) was fourth in the race already mentioned and
warrants respect.

fancy

6. THERE IS NO NO – 3rd in the race GOLDEN CITY (3) was 2nd in at this track 18 days ago. Has

7. TORMENTA BARELIERE – Pleasing debut 4th last month over 1700m. Can enjoy the extra trip
and has place claims

Opposable

Summary : This is a good chance for GOLDEN CITY (3) to break his maiden after a good effort
when second at this track 18 days ago over 2400m. THERE IS NO NO (6) was 2L back in third in
the same race as the selection when seen here 18 days ago. On similar terms it is not going to be
easy to turn that form around but she can play a prominent role. VERSION COX (8) is the place
angle after a good fourth at this track last time in a handicap. TORMENTA BARELIERE (7) will
improve for a pleasing debut effort when fourth over 1700m four weeks ago and can be expected
to run well.

Summary : ZAZU AA (1) has solid claims to make it three wins from three runs. He looks to be
improving and has a good bit more to come, a winner over 2150m last time and back in second
that day at Mont-De-Marsan was MOMBASA AA (4) who is the likely main threat who is better off
at the weights today and has a length to find. KHIVA DE LAGARDE AA (2) scored at Dax when
last racing and enters calculations if emulating that run here. KHEOPS DE BUJ AA (10)makes up
