5. ADORE BLUE – Decent effort when 3rd on the last run over 1200m at Deauville 21 days ago.
Can make more progress and score
6. MOUNT VERNON – Unplaced on only run over 1200m 21 days ago at Deauville. Needs a vast
improved effort to be involved
7. THE CAT’S – Newcomer by Morandi, stable that is well respected with juveniles. Market support
should be noted
8. POTEMKINE – Newcomer by Advertise, the dam never ran. Should be well tuned for a bold show
on debut. Market best watched
Summary : ADORE BLUE (5) seems to have improved with each run so far. He can progress
further and looks like the likely winner here. The same applies to RETORT (1) who showed an
improved run when second last time at Chantilly. He is a live threat. POTEMKINE (8) has a nice
profile and will be expected to be competitive on his debut run. WATHAB (2) has performed well
on both runs so far, both over 1400m. The drop back in trip is interesting and he looks best of the
remainder.

Summary : DEAUVILLE (1) won at Saint-Malo last time over 2500m last month. She will be full of
confidence and can just edge this from ZAKOUSKI (3) who did not like hurdles and has run well on
both of his runs now he has reverted back to the flat, he can make his rivals work hard. WARRIOR’S
REVENGE (2) is marginally top-rated and can not be discounted. All his form is in Spain and he
warrants respect. MANKO (4) is another that needs consideration. She scored at Lyon Parilly in
June and should be on the premises.

be involved
4. VALDIVARA – Promising 3rd over 1200m at Deauville on only run 21 days ago. Live chance
5. BEST OF LIGHT – Nice 3rd in a Class 2 race at Dieppe last time over 1100m in late July. In the

6. QUEEN FLO – Unplaced last time, 2nd before that over 1100m in early July. Others rate higher
7. BREATHE ON – Newcomer by Bated Breath, can be expected to improve for this run. Market
moves should be noted
Summary : FORLONGE (1) shaped with plenty of promise on her debut when second at Deauville
behind a useful filly who has won again since (Mlle Moliere). She drops back in trip today and
connections must feel it will be preferable to her. VALDIVARA (4) did well on her debut when third
and can improve a good deal from that run and make things interesting. CONCERTATION (3) was
narrowly ahead of VALDIVARA (4) last time at Deauville and can once again acquit herself well.
BEST OF LIGHT (5) has experience and is no back number and ought to be involved.

Summary : DOMAGNANO (9) has dropped to a lenient mark in the handicap after some unplaced
efforts. His last run at Deauville 14 days ago when he was eighth behind the main threat KING
HARTWOOD (6) when not beaten far was a step back in the right direction. BLACK LIVES
MATTER (7) was third in the Deauville race and enters calculations. He is the each-way angle.
TIME TO FLY (14) is another to consider from a place perspective, he was fifth in the same race
behind the three already mentioned.

Summary : In a wide-open race, it may pay to side with the top-weighted PLENTY CITY (1) who
has shaped well on his most recent runs without winning. The reasonably handicapped HYGROVE
LASS (5) is a live threat, she ran a solid race last time at Clairefontaine when finishing second over
1600m almost three weeks ago, and will play a lead role. LOUVE PRECIEUSE (8) was fourth on
her latest run when HYGROVE LASS (5) was second and should be included in all place bets.
VEGA DREAM (4) makes up the shortlist.
