Race Preview

R1 – PRIX DE FALAISE – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – Condition Race – Maiden – Flat – EUR € 30.000

1. MAIZIERES – 3rd on the last run over 1400m at Compiegne 15 days ago. Has work to do to
make an impact
2. MONTEILLE – 6th on the only run at Chantilly over 1100m in mid-June. Will improve for that run
although others rate higher
3. BELLAELO – Nice 3rd on debut three weeks ago at Vichy over 1000m. The step up in trip will
be appreciated and she can not be ruled out
4. OPERA MUNDI – Good 2nd over 1400m at Chantilly on debut three weeks ago. Can improve
and looks the one to beat
5. PARTIR – Showed promise when 5th at Deauville on only run in early July over 1200m. Will be
more streetwise today and has a live chance
6. MAKE A WISH – Fair 4th over 1400m at Vichy on the latest outing in mid-July. Might find a few
of these too smart
7. OASINA – Nice effort when 2nd over 1400m at Vichy last time on July 17th. Has the most
experience and can play a lead role
8. FAST FLOWING – Newcomer by Starspangledbanner, is from a good stable that can do well
with juveniles. Any market support should be monitored

Summary : Narrowly beaten on her debut OPERA MUNDI (4) looks the one to side with in this
fillies race. She can improve on that and gets a marginal vote ahead of PARTIR (5) who shaped
nicely on her only run at Deauville at the start of July. She will like the extra distance of 200m and
looks like a nice prospect. OASINA (7) has the most experience in this line-up and ran well when
second at Vichy on her latest outing. She can make things interesting. BELLAELO (3) also showed
she is talented on her debut when third and looks best of the remainder.

SELECTIONS
OPERA MUNDI (4) – PARTIR (5) – OASINA (7) – BELLAELO (3)

R2 – DOHA CUP (PRIX MANGANATE) – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – – Flat – EUR € 50.000

1. HADI DE CARRERE – Unplaced on the last run over 2000m at Pau in January. More than
capable of being competitive
2. CH’EZZA – Nice winner over 2000m in a Group 1 Arabian race last time in mid-May. Player
3. EDALBAR – Good 2nd over 1900m at La Teste in a Group 3 Arabian race in early July on the
last run. Has work to do to win but warrants respect
4. RAGDAN – Fair 3rd on the last run over 2000m at Doha(QAT) in early April in a Group 1 Arabian
race. Has work to do
5. ABBES – 2nd behind CH’EZZA (2) in a Group 1 last time over 2000m when narrowly beaten.
Bold show expected

Summary : This could well be a repeat of Parislongchamp in May where CH’EZZA (2) battled hard
to get the verdict over main rival ABBES (5). Both of these Arabs are very honest and can once
again fight out the finish. EDALBAR (3) was a good second over 1900m at La Teste at the start of
July last time out and is by no means out of it, he was fourth in the race at Parislongchamp to
CH’EZZA (2), and although he has over 2L to find on his rivals and needs a personal best to win,
he can make things competitive. HADI DE CARRERE (1) merits consideration.

SELECTIONS
CH’EZZA (2) – ABBES (5) – EDALBAR (3) – HADI DE CARRERE (1)

R3 – AL RAYYAN CUP (PRIX KESBEROY) – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – – Flat – EUR € 50.000

and ought to make an impact

to feature
4. ALSHANFARA – Won over 1600m at Chantilly on the last run in a Group 2 Arabian race in June.
Plenty of progress is expected and looks like the one to beat
5. KANTI DE BOZOULS – Ran 4th over 1900m at La Teste ( Group 3 PA) on the last run in early
July. Others hold stronger claims
6. NASSER AL SHAHANIA – Did well when winning on only run over 1600m at Bordeaux Le
Bouscat in early May. Will progress and a bold show expected
7. EXTRA TIME – 2nd over 1900m at La Teste in a Group 3 Arab race on July 10th. Can not be
overlooked

June. Place chance
9. ALRASHA – Won on only run over 1400m at La Teste in early July. Might find a few of these too
good

Summary : A good field of Arabians for this AL Rayyan Cup ( Group 1 ). The lightly raced
ALSHANFARA (4) was a good winner of a Group 3 race at Chantilly in late June, that was only his
second run and he should have plenty more to come. NASSER AL SHAHANIA (6) is probably his
biggest rival, he won on his only start over 1600m in May and will know a lot more for that success.
EJAABY (2) looks held on his second behind ALSHANFARA (4) at Chantilly where he was second.
But he can be of interest from an each-way perspective. GHASSAN II (8) makes up the shortlist.

SELECTIONS
ALSHANFARA (4) – NASSER AL SHAHANIA (6) – EJAABY (2) – GHASSAN II (8)

and is a player
2. ALI – Nice 3rd at Chantilly over 1400m in mid-July on the only start. Competitive run expected
3. STANGHELI – Tame effort when 4th on the last run at Compiegne in late July. Was a decent
2nd on debut. Others rate higher
4. BROTHERS OF LILY’S – Fair 5th on only start at Dieppe in late July over 1400m. Can not be
overlooked
5. TAIFA – Ran 2nd on the last outing over 1300m in mid-June. That was in Germany, first run in
France and looks safely held
6. MR KODIAC – 6th on the only run at Chantilly in mid-July. Has a bit to find to feature
7. NOPE NEVER – 4th at Deauville over 1200m on only run in July. Will be better for that experience
and can make presence felt
8. MARSILIUS – Newcomer by Calyx, the stable runners need to be respected. Might need this run
for experience. Market moves will be informative

Summary : KESHAPOUR (1) looked very green on his debut at Compiegne when given a kind
introduction. He will be sharper for that experience and is the selection. NOPE NEVER (7) should
know a lot more about racing today. He also ran a nice race when fourth at this track last month
and will appreciate the step up in trip. ALI (2) is one for the each-way backers to look at after a
good third on his only start at Chantilly. BROTHERS OF LILY’S (4) has also only had one run so
far and has a bit of work to do to win but can make the frame.

SELECTIONS
KESHAPOUR (1) – NOPE NEVER (7) – ALI (2) – BROTHERS OF LILY’S (4)

R5 – PRIX DE DIVES – 2000m (a1 1/4m) – TURF – Condition Race – Class 2 – Flat – EUR € 28.000

1. EYVANN – Nice 2nd in a Class 2 race over 2000m at Parislongchamp last time in mid-July.
Looks the one to beat
2. SACRED SPIRIT – Nice 2nd over 2400m at Lyon Parilly in mid-June on the last run in a Class 2
race. Merits consideration
3. CIRCEO – 2nd on last two runs, the latter over 2000m at Parislongchamp in a handicap in early
July. In the mix
4. KING OF RECORDS – Fair 3rd in a Class 2 race at Chantilly over 2000m in April when last
racing. Warrants respect
5. MARQUISAT – Nice win over 1500m at Saint-Cloud last October on the only run. Will be fit for
this return outing
6. ALISTO KING – Won over 2200m at Clairefontaine last time in mid-July. Needs more in a better
race
7. LA JEANNE – Unplaced on only run over 2000m at Compiegne in late July. Hard to recommend
8. KHARANOVKA – 5th on the last run in a Class 2 race at Chantilly in mid-May. Won before that
over 2000m in March. Can not be discounted
9. TZARINSKA – 5th at Chantilly in late June in a Class 2 race over 2000m on the last run.
Vulnerable
10. ECLAIREE – 5th on the last run in a Class 2 race, won before that over 2000m in January.
Others make more appeal

Summary : EYVANN (1) was a good second in a Class 2 race on his last run over 2000m in midJuly and should be too good for his rivals. MARQUISAT (5) looks like the main threat, he won nicely
over 1500m last October and is well-regarded in the Fabre yard. He will be nicely tuned for a bold
run after 10 months away. SACRED SPIRIT (2) will try to make life difficult for his rivals and is a
promising colt, he will be thereabouts at the finish. CIRCEO (3) has run well when second on his
last two runs, and ought to be involved at the business end.

SELECTIONS
EYVANN (1) – MARQUISAT (5) – SACRED SPIRIT (2) – CIRCEO (3)

R6 – MOROCCO CUP – PRIX DE CREPON – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Class 3 – Flat – EUR € 27.000

1. LOU MAN – Ran well when 4th at Dieppe on the last run over 1800m in late July. Player
2. LOVELY ANGEL – Good 2nd over 1400m on the last run at Vichy in July. Very honest and sets
the standard
3. PANDIA SELENE – Good 2nd over 1600m 15 days ago at La Teste. Won before that at Nantes.
In the mix
4. DOMAGNANO – Three unplaced runs of late, the latter over 1400m in late June. Might find this
difficult
5. SCARFACE – 4th on the last outing over 1400m at Vichy in mid-July. One for the shortlist
6. BLACK LIVES MATTER – 5th over 1600m at Chantilly last time on July 1st. Has each-way
claims
7. KING HARTWOOD – Fair 4th at Compiegne over 1600m in mid-July on the last run. Can make
the frame
8. OSTIA – Has dropped in the ratings since a win over 1400m in November. Needs to bounce back
to form but is capable
9. TIME TO FLY – Ran 2nd at Saint-Cloud over 1400m in late June on the latest run. Consistent
performer and will be involved
10. VIF DES AIGLES – Has several unplaced runs over various trips of late. Seems out of form and
best avoided

Summary : LOVELY ANGEL (2) has been in top form recently with two wins and two secondplaced runs. She can win again after a narrow defeat at Vichy three weeks ago. LOU MAN (1) is
well handicapped on his best form, his latest effort when fourth was a good performance at Dieppe
and he has won at this track on the PSF. PANDIA SELENE (3) is in good form and can make her
presence felt. She is the place bet must. KING HARTWOOD (7) is another to consider. he ran well
when fourth on his latest outing after a few below-par efforts.

SELECTIONS
LOVELY ANGEL (2) – LOU MAN (1) – PANDIA SELENE (3) – KING HARTWOOD (7)
