R15 – PRIX DE LA BUTTE BLANCHE – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – Condition Race – Newcomers – Flat – EUR € 30.000

1. ZANDY – Juddmonte filly whose birth date birth suggests that this well-bred Frankel filly is
designed to shine early.
2. GAVEA – Gleneagles filly to be ridden by Cristian Demuro for trainer Waldemar Hickst. For lovers
of outsiders
3. SEDUISANTE – Shalaa debutante, hails from the in-form yard of Christopher Head who has won
five of his last 10 races. Respect
4. OPERA MUNDI – Kingman filly out of well-performed Solage, a half-sister to the useful Rumi.
Not taken lightly with Ronan Thomas aboard
5. VELIA – Satoshi Kobayashi-trained Magna Grecia debutante who will benefit from Marie Velon’s
1,5kg allowance
6. KEREMMA – Well-bred Exceed And Excel filly trained by Francis-Henri Graffard who saddled
66 runners for 33 places at Chantilly this year
7. GALA REAL – Wootton Bassett debutante to be ridden by Maxime Guyon for Alessandro &
Giuseppe Botti. Has claims

Summary : Frankel debutante ZANDY (1) has an attractive pedigree and was an early foal, which
suggests she could come to hand early, so it may pay to follow her progress. Christopher Head’s
SEDUISANTE (3) makes plenty of appeal on paper too and is likely to go well on debut. OPERA
MUNDI ( 4) and KEREMMA (6), whose trainer is no stranger to success at this racecourse, also
deserve a mention.

SELECTIONS
ZANDY (1) – SEDUISANTE (3) – OPERA MUNDI (4) – KEREMMA (6)

R16 – PRIX DU FOSSE LA COQUE – 1400m (a7f) – TURF – Condition Race – Newcomers – Flat – EUR € 30.000

1. DVORJAK – Ioritz Mendizabal rides this Caravaggio colt on debut for the Alessandro & Giuseppe
Botti outfit. Watch
2. SAGANTI – Well-related Zarak colt whose dam has already thrown the useful Sagamiyra. High
on the shortlist
3. ALI – Kingman colt of a mare who has done well at stud, producing six winners from seven foals.
Keep safe
4. ELKABIER – Markus Nigge-trained El Kabeir newcomer to be ridden on debut Aurélien Lemaitre.
Not taken lightly
5. MR KODIAC – Kodiac colt with a precocious pedigree and who represents formidable
connections. Warrants respect
6. MONDRIAL – Nicely bred and well-related Blue Point colt trained by Jean-Claude Rouget. Makes
plenty appeal with Cristian Demuro booked to ride
7. CYNIC – Maxime Guyon is a noteworthy jockey booking aboard this Magna Grecia colt trained
by Tim Donworth

Summary : Acquired for 100,000 euros as a yearling last year, MONDRIAL (6) has an attractive
pedigree and could be worth siding with on debut. MR KODIAC (5) is bred to be precocious and is
likely to play a leading role in this newcomers’ race after joining the André Fabre stable for 85,000
from the Breeze Up sales in May. The pedigree of SAGANTI (2) also suggests that he could be up
to running well on debut. ALI (3) completes the shortlist.

SELECTIONS
MONDRIAL (6) – MR KODIAC (5) – SAGANTI (2) – ALI (3)

R17 – PRIX ROBERT PAPIN – 1200m (a6f) – TURF – Group 2 – Group – Flat – EUR € 130.000

1. MYCONIAN – Last-start winner, the most experienced of this field. Has questions to answer over
this distance, though
2. HIS MAJESTY – Aidan O’Brien has followed the same path with this colt as Blackbeard, the
winner of this event last year
3. BALSAM – Finished 8th of 26 in the Group II Queen Mary at Royal Ascot last time. Not without
a chance here
4. CLASSIC FLOWER – Unbeaten after two starts and was impressive in winning in a canter last
time. Dangerous to dismiss
5. RAMATUELLE – Exciting prospect who has won two of her three starts, including over this track
and trip last time. Follow

Summary : RAMATUELLE (5) is the only competitor in this race lot to have won a Group race so
she will logically be the favourite, though her opposition is serious. In particular, HIS MAJESTY (2)
who has a very similar profile to that of the winner of this event last year. Last-start winner
MYCONIAN (1) and unbeaten CLASSIC FLOWER (4) have claims too in this competitive Group II
event.

SELECTIONS
RAMATUELLE (5) – HIS MAJESTY (2) – MYCONIAN (1) – CLASSIC FLOWER (4)

R18 – PRIX LE ROI SOLEIL – 1200m (a6f) – TURF – Divised Handicap – Flat – EUR € 55.000

1. RED CHARM – Has won two provincial handicaps in quick succession, adapts to all terrains and
will be ridden by Ioritz Mendizabal under whom she has won and finished 2nd. Remains competitive
despite a penalty
2. DARIYM – Won well at ParisLongchamp last month before narrowly failing to follow up in a Class
2 at Dieppe last time. High on the shortlist
3. FRENCH DEFENSE – Has never finished worse than 4th, without winning though. Discovers the
straight course of Chantilly’s 1200m and should remain competitive
4. SISTER OF LOVE – Won twice, including once over this track and trip, before finishing a pleasing
5th in a Quinté+ at ParisLongchamp last time. Will be competitive
5. GOEVA – Finished 5th behind WRONG COLOR (10) at Saint-Cloud recently. Has a lot of speed
but does not seem to have much leeway off her current mark. For lovers of outsiders.
6. FURIOSO – Won with authority at handicap level back in May on the straight 1200m course of
Chantilly before being outclassed in a Listed race last time. Could surprise
7. DROLE DE DAME – Won her only start at this course under the rule of Stéphane Wattel and is
open to improvement after a discreet comeback at Saint-Cloud. Down 1kg but has it all to do
8. PIERREFITTE – Lightly raced filly with solid form references. She may lack experience in this
type of tournament but has sufficient means
9. AMERICANO – Has shown exemplary consistency since arriving on French soil and recently
finished a good 3rd in a Class 2 won by the talented Hayejohn. Has claims
10. WRONG COLOUR – Disappointing recently at Compiègne, where she found the 1400m too far
for her liking. Better suited to this trip and has already shown her competitiveness at this value
11. MORE – Finished a highly commendable 2nd at Compiègne in her only start at Quinté+ level.
Was somewhat disappointing on her comeback but ought to remain competitive
12. LE CENTRAL – Finished 5th (of seven) in a Class 2 recently over this course and distance.
Had previously chained the places at handicap level, so is one of the many possibilities of this race
13. MAZIWA – Has improved her form and consistency this year in conditions races and is
dangerous to dismiss here given her current mark on handicap debut. Dark horse
14. NIGHTCALL – Failed to make an impression at handicap level last time and has only been
lowered 0,5kg. Must raise her game to have a say
15. NOUR AYA – Was ahead of DARIYM (2) and FRENCH DEFENSE (3) at Dieppe last month but
then finished last in her first outing at handicap level. Others preferred
16. LES TROIS VALLEES – Won twice at handicap level in 2022 but has had difficulty regaining
that form this year. Needs to reassure

Summary : In this typically open Quinté+, a slight preference is given to DARIYM (2) on the
evidence of his brilliant ParisLongchamp win two starts back and his handicap debut should be
followed with keen interest. Consistent SISTER OF LOVE (4) ought to fight for victory having caught
the eye last time, though the same could be said of FRENCH DEFENSE (3) in his first outing at
this level of competition. During his most recent outing at Compiègne, MORE (11) finished an eyecatching 2nd and should have a say here if confirming that improvement over this shorter trip. Laststart winner RED CHARM (1), despite her 3,5kg penalty, and PIERREFITTE (8), who has shown
her quality in conditions races, as well as consistent AMERICANO (9) also have their chances in
an open contest.

SELECTIONS
DARIYM (2) – SISTER OF LOVE (4) – FRENCH DEFENSE (3) – MORE (11)

R19 – PRIX MESSIDOR – 1600m (a1m) – TURF – Group 3 – Group – Flat – EUR € 80.000

1. EREVANN – Returns to a course on which he has already won a Group 3. Progressive sort who
ought to be a factor
2. ANCIENT ROME – No longer as efficient as he was in his youth but remains consistent and
should be competitive again
3. FAST RAAJ – He did something to win in Nantes recently, despite a course in third thickness
with his nose to the wind.
4. TOPGEAR – Smart colt who has maintained a good level of form and consistency after a lengthy
layoff. Runner-up at this level last time, can go one better
5. RESHABAR – Last won a race in July last year and has struggled to perform at that level since.
Only a place chance

Summary : A close call between TOPGEAR (4) and EREVANN (1) who are the standout picks in
this Group III on ratings. They’re likely to fight out the finish with the former slightly preferred after
a more pleasing last start. FAST RAAJ (3) was a winner last time out at Nantes and ought to make
his presence felt. ANCIENT ROME (2) completes the shortlist.

SELECTIONS
TOPGEAR (4) – EREVANN (1) – FAST RAAJ (3) – ANCIENT ROME (2)

R20 – DARLEY PRIX CHLOE – 1800m (a1 1/8m) – TURF – Group 3 – Group – Flat – EUR € 80.000

1. ESTROSA – Classy and ultra-consistent Italian filly with solid form references. Dangerous to
dismiss on French soil
2. SEA THE LADY – Ran well at Group I level last time so ought to play a leading role in this grade.
High on the shortlist
3. KAMIYAH – Consistent, high-class filly with solid form references over 1600m. May have more
to offer over 1800m
4. IMMENSITUDE – Returned to winning ways when taking out a Listed race over this distance.
Capable of following up
5. ETERNAL DANCE – Made giant strides last year but has looked less effective in both comeback
outings. Needs to reaffirm
6. EXCELLENT TRUTH – Progressive filly who finished 2nd in a Listed race last time. Has no more
than a place chance here
7. QUANTANAMERA – An encouraging 2nd over a longer trip on her reappearance. Has claims
here on favorable conditions
8. ARAMINTA – Exciting British filly who has won two of her three starts, including a Listed race
last time. Dark horse

Summary : A wide-open Group III event that could go the way of any one of several competitors.
IMMENSITUDE (4) is on the rise and is preferred ahead of SEA THE LADY (2), who acquitted
herself well against stronger opposition last time, and unexposed QUANTANAMERA (7) after an
encouraging comeback outing following a hugely promising two-year-old campaign. Both
KAMIYAH (3) and ARAMINTA (8) have leading claims too.

SELECTIONS
IMMENSITUDE (4) – SEA THE LADY (2) – QUANTANAMERA (7) – KAMIYAH (3)
