Summary : Small field lineup for a newcomers race, EVADE (4) has a taking profile and this son
of Wootton Bassett might be the best option, he has some lofty entries later in the year and will
be well-trained for this debut run. VERCORS (1) has the assistance of Christophe Soumillon and
is from a good stable, he will know his job and should be on the premises. NOPE NEVER (6) has
a choice profile and should be on the premises on this debut outing. TREIZIEME (5) is worth
watching in the betting, he is from the Fabre powerhouse.

progressive and should play a role
4. MAYMAY – UK raider, unplaced over 1400m at Ascot (UK) on June 24th in a Listed race. Has
yet to win and place chance at best

Summary : BEAUVATIER (2) will likely start as the favourite after an impressive win at SaintCloud in late May. He will be hard to overcome. ZABIARI (1) did everything that was required
when scoring on his debut, he can improve a good deal from that and looks the main rival.
MAYMAY (4) is still a maiden after four runs, trained in the UK. He needs a personal best to win
and will be vying for a place position. GRAND SON OF CALYX (3) was a decisive winner by 4L
when last seen in early May. He deserves a try in pattern company.

SELECTIONS
BEAUVATIER (2) – ZABIARI (1) – MAYMAY (4) – GRAND SON OF CALYX (3)

Frankel and can be expected to get off the mark on her debut. TEERAN (5) is related to a winner
in the Listed class and should be well-forward for this opening run. SHADY LADY (8) is by the
speedy first-season sire Blue Point, who is sending out plenty of winners, she should be watched
for any market support. PARTIR (4) might fare best of the remainder.

7. WHITE PLATIN – Unplaced the last three runs, won before that over 1400m in April. Looks
vulnerable

from a break

Summary : BAILEYS BLUES (3) is the tentative selection in an open handicap, he was a good
second when last seen over 1200m in early May, he has been freshened up for this and looks the
best option. RAYSTEVE (2) is capable of being a live threat, he has been running well this year
and is usually on the premises at the finish. CHIRIMIRI (6) did not get a clear passage when sixth
on his last outing, a winner before that, he is the best each-way option. DEEP HOPE (1) is
another to be considered from a place option despite having top-weight.

SELECTIONS
BAILEYS BLUES (3) – RAYSTEVE (2) – CHIRIMIRI (6) – DEEP HOPE (1)

11th. Can make the frame
10. SAUTERNE – 2nd in a Group 2 last time over 1600m in early June, 3rd before that over
1600m in a Group 1. Others make more sense
11. HABANA – Non Partant
12. SHOWAY – 4th over 1400m last time in a Group 3 behind BREIZH SKY (2) in early June.
Others are better equipped
13. MEDITATE – 4th in a Group 1 last time over 1600m at Ascot(UK) in June, and 2nd before that
over 1600m at the Curragh (Irish 1000 Guineas) in May. Merits consideration

Summary : A really strong line up for this intriguing event. CHALDEAN (7) has been competing
at the top table all season. He won the English 2000 Guineas at Newmarket (Group 1) in May
and then was a good second at Ascot in the Group 1 St James’s Palace Stakes recently. He
looks like the one to beat. CHARYN (6) looks to be improving, he was a good third only a neck
behind CHALDEAN (7) when they met at Ascot and is probably the biggest danger. HI ROYAL
(3) can not be overlooked, he has shown he deserves to be competing in these types of races, a
good third when last seen in the Irish 2000 Guineas gives him every chance of making this
interesting. GOOD GUESS (9) can be better suited by this extra distance, than the 1400m last
time.

SELECTIONS                                                                                                                    CHALDEAN (7) – CHARYN (6) – HI ROYAL (3) – GOOD GUESS (9)

January in a Class 2 event. Might find a few too good

Ought to be in the shake up
5. PALERMA – Good 3rd two runs ago in a Group 3 race over 1600m in mid-April. Can not be

of winning
8. NAJWAA – Won at Saint-Cloud last time over 1300m on June 6th. Up in class and more is
needed
9. SIVKA BURKA – Won at Angers last time out over 1350m in a Class 2 race. Can be
competitive

Summary : RITOURNELLE (7) was unplaced in a Group 1 last time, but a good second at this
track in a Group 3 race in April makes her the form choice in this. SPIRIT GAL (4) is a live threat,
she was 2L behind in third when they both ran in the Group 3 race here in April. PALERMA (5)
can be on the premises, she has been placed in Group and Listed class twice and might well be
destined for another place position. SIVKA BURKA (9) takes a step up in class but is very honest
and will give a good account of herself.

SELECTIONS
RITOURNELLE (7) – SPIRIT GAL (4) – PALERMA (5) – SIVKA BURKA (9)
