South Africa Racing – Nazare to get things rolling

Punters face a tough card on the poly at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Monday and there should be some healthy exotic bet payouts.

In the first Nazare had modest form before last run when backed into favourite. She appeared to enjoyed the soft and can go one better. Sanantrix raced green on debut and seems sure to improve in this field while Railroad took on much stronger last run and makes her poly debut.

In the second Valiente is super quick and goes best over course and distance. Claiming apprentice up could again see him finish ahead of Trafalgar Square but there should not be much between them. Georgie George has put in two useful local efforts and with a tongue-tie back on he must have a decent chance.

In the third, Grandi Orecchie makes her poly debut. She showed up well in her handicap debut and comes from a very much in form stable. Mel’s Princess has gone up in the handicap but has consistent form. Boogie Shoes is over her best course and distance and has her third run after a break.

Michael Roberts could have the key to the fourth with Noble Storm who took on much stronger last run and her last win this course and distance. Crazy Blues is over her best trip and is back on poly but has been taking on stronger. Cataleya Summer faced stronger on the turf last run. She has the best of the draw and back on her favoured surface. Efficient Trader went into her last race with modest form but was well backed to win and duly obliged. Light weight and one to watch.

Queen Bomi could be the best bet on the card as she has made steady recent improvement. She is an old hand and should do well on the poly. Quanabi is seldom far off the winner and although she has a wide draw here she has been taking on stronger. Fields Of Green is still improving and the drop in trip should suit.

The sixth is another difficult handicap. Time Taker does not have the best of draws but has been up against much stronger opposition of late. As an older horse he could take to the poly and has a top rider aboard. Tom’s Act has not been far back at recent outings. He goes well on the poly and the stable is in form.

Another puzzle faces punters in the seventh. Winter Waves had a difficult draw to overcome last start but has been holding form well. With a better draw he should give another good account of himself. Eagle Alley makes his poly debut. He boasts some consistent Highveld form and as an older horse could made sudden improvement on the synthetic surface. He has a light weight and the best of the draw.

Sky Velocity is overdue a maiden win after four successive second placings and she stays the trip. She could round off the day but African Beat has smart form over sprints and steps up in trip. If she stays she will be a big runner. Duel Agent caught the eye in her sprint debut and this trip should be more within her compass.
