A competitive card awaits punters this Wednesday at Hollywoodbets Greyville with eight races set to take place on the polytrack.

Keagan De Melo could get a decent start to the day beginning with the Alyson Wright trained Victor Rail. His form has been consistent and looks to be one of the leading lights in this field. He will jump from a reasonable draw of three and should be in the firing line with good recent form to his name.

Possible dangers could come in the form of One Irish Rover from the M J Odendaal yard with Nicholas Patel aboard. He is seldom far back so is a must include in all bets.

The Alyson Wright yard have a solid chance in race two as well with National Dream in what looks to be a very open race, he has a handy weight to shoulder with fair form and Keagan De Melo in the saddle.

Nelson Bay in race three looks to have a solid winning chance with a decent run behind Fibonacci. The Peter Muscutt trained son of Rafeef looks progressive and he now gets a much better draw with S’Manga Khumalo aboard. For many he could be a possible banker on the day.

Michael Roberts saddles Hatta with Siphesihle Hlengwa aboard in race four. Her recent form is very good and she looks to be the horse to beat. Chelsea Blue from the Duncan Howells yard is a horse on the up and cannot be discounted despite the wide draw. Sean Veale does have his work cut out but with some luck in the running she could be right on top of them.

Just Virginia gets a 4kg claiming apprentice aboard in race seven which will certainly enhance her  chances. The Garth Puller trained daughter of Just As Well looks to be a massive contender. She has a much better draw this time around and does extremely well over this sort of trip. If things map out for her, she could end up in the winner’s box.

Bay Breeze for in form trainer Gareth Van Zyl has been running well and shouldn’t be ignored. She has a good finish and is bound to make her presence felt. Highveld trainer Fanie Bronkhorst saddles Gilda Grey with S’Manga Khumalo aboard. She has the best draw and is very capable on her day so deserves healthy respect.

In terms of the Pick 6 it may be wise to include a few runners here as this races could just throw up a result.

Trainer Stuart Ferrie saddles Captain Rocket in the lucky last with Sean Veale up in the irons. He has always been highly spoken of and could be the horse they all have to beat. He now jumps from a much more reasonable draw compared to his last start and could get the run of the race.

Mr Pigalle from the Peter Muscutt yard will jump from the best draw and on best form could make them run here. He is a horse that is very capable on his day and must be thrown into all bets.

All in all, it looks to be a tricky card and multiple place bets look the way to go with plenty value on offer.
