Race Summary: A tough start to a headscratcher meeting. SWIFTWINGED only had one start in the Western Cape and did not do much after a slow start. A change of trainer and a switch to the Polytrack should bring about vast improvement. WAZ WOUET has run two good races so far and could be the one to beat trying the Polytrack. ALMOST IN SEATTLE did not run badly on debut and has experience on this surface so should do better this time. MOVE ON OVER was not disgraced on local debut and a filly just behind her that day won easily last week.

Race Summary: PONDEROSA PINE is battling to win a race but has some fair form and could finally crack a deserved first win. DREAM STAR is holding her form and could contest the finish. BRAZILIAN STORM and GOLD FOR AFRICA both change trainers and are trying the Polytrack so could show vast improvement. SALIENT POINT has run well on the Polytrack at Greyville and would not be a surprise winner on local debut either. SHORT SHARP SHOCK is reserve runner No 3 at the moment but can win if getting a run.

Race Summary: This type of race has proven to be tough for punters this year and not one of these runners can be written off from winning. Trainer Gavin Smith has a decent hand with his runners. SAFARI BLUE loves the surface and if allowed a soft lead can make all. FERRARI ICE has been in very good form all year and will give it his best shot. MOUNT ANDERSON is best weighted and did win his penultimate start but failed last time. BUSH TRACKER won well last time out but failed against most of these rivals before that. NAVAL SECRET likes the Polytrack and should contest the finish.

Race Summary: Another race where very few can be discarded in the Pick 6. SOFT TOUCH makes her local debut and is capable of winning a race like this. AERIAL VIEW was third in a decent field last time and has a winning chance. READY TO FLY has run her best races on the Polytrack and can go close. SUGARBERRY is probably better on turf but would not be a surprise winner. SILVER SLIPPERS, HEY SIRI, MAIDENS COVE, CRAFTY HEART and KAVIAN’S CARA all deserve respect and can win.

Race Summary: AMERICAN DREAM makes his local debut but his recent form on the Greyville Polytrack suggests he could be ready to strike. ALMIGHWAAR is clearly better than last week’s performance and can bounce back to score. Recent maiden winners DOUGLAS DEVASTATOR and PRINCE OF HEAVEN are improving and could earn some minor money. ESSOS showed improvement last time and can do even better this time. Watch for an improved run from MY BOY REECEY.

SAND BANK and PRINCE VIHAAN are better than their last runs would suggest and can bounce back. SILVER TYCOON, SECRET IS OURS and SON OF ZEUS are all in good heart and are not out of it.

It is another open handicap, and we will need to load up in the exotics. NO TIME TAKEN has a winning chance if repeating the penultimate run. PATH OF CHOICE could like this course and distance. SOWETO ROSE is unreliable but is also not out of it. TRAVEL MASTER and COOL RUNNINGS have done enough this year to have a winning chance in the race.

Race Summary: CAITLYNS BOY was a runaway winner when trying the Polytrack and could be ahead of the handicapper. QUEEN’S WOOD is coming off two good runs on the Greyville Polytrack and must hold a winning chance. BECKONING BEAUTY failed in a decent field last time and back at this level should run a big race. UNCLE TICKY BIRD quickened nicely to win last time out but stable jockey for trainer Alan Greeff, Richard Fourie, is on stable companion CAITLYNS BOY. NOTORIX and KUZNETSOV are both capable of running well.
