Fairview, 21.04.2023, Race 1, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R65.000, 12:25GMT+2

Race Summary: AMAZING COLOURS was beaten by a decent filly on debut. She improved in her second start and was only run out of it late. She should be the one to beat. FIRE GLOW showed promise on debut but is troublesome and has been scratched a couple of times since. Stable companion FIRST MINISTER may be looking for further but can improve. Watch the betting on the newcomers JOY AND PEACE and WINNING GRACE. JOY AND PEACE represents the in-form Alan Greeff yard and can win on debut. WINNING GRACE is a Coup De Grace filly who could run well.

Selections:

#1 Amazing Colours, #3 Fire Glow, #6 Joy And Peace, #4 First Minister

Fairview, 21.04.2023, Race 2, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R65.000, 13:00GMT+2

Race Summary: THE WINTER LAKE showed signs of inexperience on debut and was not disgraced when finishing fifth. She is likely to be smarter this time and has a winning chance. Pathfork filly PRINCIPESSA MIA represents the very strong Alan Greeff-Richard Fourie combination and can win on debut. WOODLAND RIDGE is improving and has a winning chance. SIBERIAN FOX was caught late on Monday and can earn some more money.

Selections:

#18 The Winter Lake, #15 Principessa Mia, #1 Woodland Ridge, #2 Siberian Fox

Fairview, 21.04.2023, Race 3, Gallops, 2400m, Turf, R60.000, 13:35GMT+2

Race Summary: POPPING CREASE found filly Medlers Tart far too good for him last time out but that winner is promising, so do not be surprised if POPPING CREASE goes one better this time. JOE HARMAN continues to be unlucky but holds his form well and one of these will crack it. Stable companions LORD NELSON and MORE FOR ME make their local debuts and can improve. The jockey on BELLE’S FIRST WAVE went far too soon last time out and if given a patient ride will do better.

Selections:

#1 Popping Crease, #3 More For Me, #2 Lord Nelson, #6 Joe Harman

Fairview, 21.04.2023, Race 4, Gallops, 2400m, Turf, R65.500, 14:10GMT+2

Race Summary: A competitive-looking race. HONEST QUEST is in good form and trainer Alan Greeff is in better form with six winners last Friday. Clearly HONEST QUEST needs to go in all exotic perms. ALMIGHWAAR is also in good form but does appear a difficult ride. Stable companions from the Gavin Smith yard, JASPERO and BOLD STRIKE, have been in good form of late and are not out of it. ALADO’S PRIDE is better than his recent form and could pop up. ELLIS ISLAND has run well at this course in the past and can surprise. So too could KING OF LUV who tackled a much stronger field last time out.

Selections:

#3 Honest Quest, #4 Almighwaar, #1 Jaspero, #2 Bold Strike

Fairview, 21.04.2023, Race 5, Gallops, 1000m, Turf, R65.500, 14:45GMT+2

Race Summary: Another competitive race. ESTHER seems the type who will get better with each start and she was not disgraced when fourth last time out after an easy maiden win. Stable companion RHYTHM OF THE RAIN and QUICK COUNT both come in very good form and deserve respect. BURNING MOON has been poor in her last two starts but could bounce back. RAINBOW THIEF reminded us she has talent with a nice win last time out. GLASS SHOES is clearly better over 1000m at this stage is not out of it.

Selections:

#5 Esther, #3 Rainbow Thief, #4 Glass Shoes, #1 Rhythm Of The Rain

Fairview, 21.04.2023, Race 6, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R90.000, 15:20GMT+2

Race Summary: MONASHADA showed promise early in her career but then was consistently tried over ground and it was when sent back to sprinting that she regained her form and has won two nice races this year. RED BERRY is not an easy ride but she packs a decent finish when in the mood and will be doing her best work at the finish. MEET ME AT THE GEORGE always gives of her best and has a winning chance on local debut after a change of trainer. STOLEN KISS has been very consistent for sometime and is not out of it. ANGEL DEB’S is consistent but is out at the weights.

Selections:

#2 Monashada, #1 Red Berry, #3 Meet At The George, #4 Stolen Kiss

Fairview, 21.04.2023, Race 7, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R175.000, 15:55GMT+2

Race Summary: An interesting race of juveniles. FAIRY KNIGHT did not impress on debut but did a lot better last time out. He took time to hit his best stride but won impressively and can follow-up. GLOBAL FORCE has improved with each run and has beaten FAIRY KNIGHT but that was on the Polytrack and FAIRY KNIGHT has clearly improved since then. Stable companion VISION OF WONDER was a wide-margin winner last time out and the runner-up won well on Monday. WAR LAUNCH has looked useful so far but had no answer to finish of FAIRY KNIGHT last time out but is better off at the weights so may finish closer this time. Filly SUMMER ODYSSEY is consistent and speedy so can earn some money.

Selections:

#4 Fairy Knight, #5 Global Force, #6 Vision Of Wonder, #7 War Launch

Fairview, 21.04.2023, Race 8, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R65.500, 16:30GMT+2

Race Summary: A tough race to end. FIERY DUKE is finding it hard to win his third start but is capable of taking this race. PEDRO did us proud when quickening up best win last time out and would not be a surprise winner with just a three-point penalty to carry. EL ROMIACHI is clearly better than his last run would suggest. TRACK COMMANDER is course-and-distance suited but has a wide draw to overcome. GLOBAL BEAT, PICTURE THE MOMENT, UNCLE GEORGE and CALLMEMRGREENLIGHT are others in with winning shouts.

Selections:

#7 Fiery Duke, #6 Pedro, #9 Picture The Moment, #1 El Romiachi

Best Win: #2 MONASHADA

Best Value Bet:

Best Longshot: #18 THE WINTER LAKE
