Race Summary: SHOEFELLA made a fair debut on the poly at this venue so knows this track. He has run one fair race in the Cape and could make a winning return even if racing after a rest. Vercingetorix-gelding SAN PEDRO wasn’t far off the earners in all starts to date and could be anything first time on the poly. He has drawn well and needs to be taken seriously. ZABADAK improved on this surface last time. He had a subsequent winner behind him last time and having drawn well again should turn in another good performance.

Race Summary: MCCARTNEY followed up on his maiden win with a fair fourth at Hollywoodbets Scottsville. He has drawn well and can build on his sole poly performance when second. QUICK STAR could be a big threat if back to his best. He ran on well in his first start after a rest and has run well off much higher ratings. LORD EDWARD earned in what was admittedly a weak field, but he is arguably better on the poly and should give another good account of himself. LIFE GOES ON suddenly popped up with a better effort on the turf. He has won most of his races here and could be dangerous over the longer trip again.

Race Summary: This could be the right race for GREY OCEAN. He ran a fair race seven days ago and stripping fitter can challenge for the win this time. QUIZ MASTER finally added another win to his tally. Now that he has won again, he could go on to add more successes, however, he is dropping in distance. ANOTHERDAYINAFRICA suddenly found form after a rest. He has shown potential in the past and perhaps is over his issues. PURPLE POWAHOUSE is back from a long layoff. He is a specialist and very much the one to watch out for. MAJORCA PALACE is unsound but another with ability.

Race Summary: MAGGIE TEE can complete a hat trick. She is unbeaten over the course and distance and won from the widest gate last time out. FORT J’ADORE was a bit disappointing in her last start but may prefer the poly and could show a lot more. PERFECT APPEAL has plenty in her favour and should have every chance. She lost her last race by a neck over 1000m but should be even better back over 1200m. KILEIGH’S FATE didn’t enjoy 1600m jumping from the widest gate last time. She could be the dark horse. ROYAL OASIS, CAPRIANA and NEW ORLEANS can get into the money.

Race Summary: Intriguing contest. Highly regarded Glen Kotzen-trained filly CERTAINLY makes her poly debut. She is a feature winner in the Cape and hasn’t been far off some of the best around. STING RAY was most eye-catching last time and could be nearing her best form again. The handicapper was impressed as she was upped a few points last time. OUR EMILY keeps winning by small margins and may not allow anything to get by her again as she has drawn a plum stall, but she is up in class. FASHION MISTRESS needed her last run and is expected to make good improvement. She has draw one.

Race Summary: BOOGIE SHOES was on a roll before switching to the turf last time. She ran well at Hollywoodbets Scottsville and could be ready for the poly again. MY CHERIE AMOUR has good credentials here and wasn’t disgraced when taking on males in a stronger race last time. She has dropped a few points in ratings to boot. EYE CATCHING has not disgraced herself in the Cape and is now back to her best racetrack. A 1,5kg claim could see her add win number three to her poly tally. CHELSEA FLOWER has been a bit frustrating to follow and she has now drawn widest. Still one to include.

Race Summary: Competitive race to end. Juvenile PREDATOR’S FEAST is tested in open company. She has done little wrong and could make a fair poly debut. DOUBLE DREAM is back from the Cape. She wasn’t far off Shantastic a few runs back and has dropped in ratings. She could prove dangerous. FIELDS OF GREEN won her maiden beating a weak field but she has drawn well on handicap debut and could build on that. BIRDWATCHER and PUFF OF SMOKE have run some decent races of late and should be right in the action again. Most have earning potential.
