Race Summary: There are Highveld raiders trying the Polytrack throughout and the racemeeting is quite competitive. ELUSIVE JUSTICE is well bred and hasn’t done badly in his three starts. Keagan de Melo knows him well and from draw No 1 could have every chance on poly debut. VICTOR RAIL found a Highveld gelding too good last time but was making good progress in that race and can build on that. INSIGHTFUL has met some decent sorts but finished behind ELUSIVE JUSTICE the time they met. But his experience at this track could give him a big say. More with claims.

Race Summary: VARIETY FAIR has finished runner-up in both starts on the poly and having drawn in pole position, could get it right. She has been running well for a while and will be quite fit. JADE’S CABERNEIGH wasn’t far off in both starts in the Western Cape and could be the one to make big improvement. But she will need to overcome a wide draw on poly debut. STORM JEWEL has run some encouraging races on the Highveld of late. She made big improvement on previous form and could be anything on the poly. SEA OF TEARS will pick up her maiden win one of these days. She is overdue. More with scope in it.

Race Summary: It has been quite a while since PATON’S TEARS last tasted success but she may prefer the poly. There are high-class names in her form line including Emirate Gina, Marigold Hotel and Captain Peg. There are poly specialist in it and she will be tested. MVULAZANA beat Family Favourite last time she raced on this surface. She is better than her recent form on turf. PURPLE NKANYEZI has won six on the poly and her rating has been dropping. She could make them run hard. LOVE BOMB’s rating has also dropped and is also capable of a classy effort. BACK TO THE FUTURE could be a natural on the poly.

Race Summary: Go wide in the exotics – open-looking race. FOREIGN LADY finally tried a bit of ground after racing over 1000m. She may show more over 1400m on the poly. MISS DORA also has stamina in her blood and could have more to offer having been costly to follow over shorter. The blinkers have been removed which could also assist her chances. I’VE GOT WINGS has flattered only to deceive but is holding form now. Along with STEALTH ATTACK and VERMACILLI she has drawn wide and will have her work cut out. The last two mentioned seem capable of better and need to be included.

Race Summary: WILLIAM RUFUS won his poly debut and then followed up with a solid second-place finish behind PARMENION who re-opposes. He could turn it around at the revised weights and also looks to have the advantage in terms of the barrier positions. PARMENION finally found the winner’s enclosure and could keep improving. Must be taken seriously again. SON OF SILK has beaten PARMENION among others and is on track to make it three wins in a row. But he may not have everything his own way up front this time. BLACKWHITEDYNAMITE and GENTLEMAN’S WAY have respectable form as well.

Race Summary: GRECIA has been doing better of late on the Highveld and now finds herself best in at the weights on poly debut. She has a plum draw to boot and could finally bag another win. But this could also be the right race for HOPE IS POWER who has been running in very strong races throughout his career. He was second to fleetfooted Beechamwood Boy last time and that could be the form line to be with. GREY OCEAN is knocking at the door and did well from wide draws in two of his last three races. PURPLE OPERATOR is a poly specialist jumping from draw No 1 and he could be hard to catch.

Race Summary: HIGH MOON can finally add another win to his tally. He has run decent races throughout the country and would be deserving. He is, however, returning after a break. CHEROKEE TRAIL ran a cracker and found best form when beaten in a close finish by up-and-coming Wiccan Warrior. He could confirm the strength of that form. HEAD GARDENER only found one better in his last start. He has drawn well and should run another decent race. BRAVE VOYAGER is knocking hard at the door and could go all the way if the race is run to suit. KHANYISA INDLELA is capable of much better. He has gate No 1.

Race Summary: FASINADA tried hard in her last start when second at the Turffontein Inside track last time out. If she brings the form to the poly she could open her account at this venue. She should have every chance from draw No 1 but Highveld compatriot English Primrose has secured gate No 2 and having won from the front before, could be well suited. Both could play leading roles but it doesn’t stop there. DUCHESS OF GOLD won her maiden easily over a distance that looks short of her best. She may come on in leaps and bounds. HATTA is in good form and won’t go down without a fight.
