But if LA DREAMER reproduces her last run when flying up and looking the likely winner against males, she could have the last laugh. She has drawn in gate No 1. ANA NOBA has shown potential but has been off for a long time and may need it. LUCK OF THE IRIS, MYTHICAL TUNE, IF YOU SAY SO and LA VOLEUSE all need to be considered for the exotic bets.

Race Summary: PARIS RAIN caught the eye in his last two starts. He has the best of the draws and should have every chance. ARVERNI KING is overdue and holding form nicely. However, he has to overcome the widest barrier to able to win it. MAYA’S CAT and LAW COURT both showed fair potential and did finish ahead of PARIS RAIN last time. They are not ones to take lightly. POWER STAR is holding form and could improve on his earlier run when well behind ARVERNI KING and PARIS RAIN respectively. The dark horse could be HARLEY STREET who has sprinted well and may be looking for this longer trip.

Race Summary: A bit more is expected from SUPER FAST who made eye-catching improvement in his second outing. He just lacked experience and otherwise could have been racing in the next division by now. However, he is dropping in distance, but should be fresh after a rest. AXEL COLLINS has run his best races over this course and distance and found his last race a bit far when over-racing. But he will have his work cut out to beat TWICE THE TRINITY who made big improvement in his second start to finish 0.50 lengths ahead of AXEL COLLINS. It could get close. GOLD ENSIGN showed fair potential – watch him.

Race Summary: Querari filly ISN’T SHE BONNY should be hard to beat. She turned in two good performances at this venue earlier in her career and should be fresh enough to go with them over this 1000m. One of ADITI’s best runs was over this course and distance and she may not have been suited to tests at Greyville where the going came up soft. She has drawn well and can improve. VARIETY FAIR had things go wrong and still progressed last time. An outside draw could be a bit of a disadvantage, however. SWISS PARADISE could make good improvement with blinkers fitted.

Race Summary: ROCK FALL waited for a bit then went around the field and kept on strongly from there on. Those kind of tactics should work at this venue as well, especially as he is drawn best of all. But he had TWICE GOLDEN 0.70 lengths behind him and that rival is now 1.5kg better off. Back at his best track he could turn it around. TOM BOMBADIL and SPACE NEWS weren’t far off either and should come knocking again. But this race is competitive. SUNDAY ISLAND ran a fair race after a rest and is weighted to go close. RUN TO DENMARK, PAPA C, WITH PLEASURE and CAPETOWN BEAUTY can threaten. More can upset.

Race Summary: The fields couldn’t go with CAPE EAGLE recently. The gelding enjoys setting a good pace but will have company in the form of JUAN CARLOS and NEWS STREAM this time. But he could go from gun to tape again. NEWS STREAM has won this feature and recently showed he is eager to fight it out. ARTIC TUNE has run two good seconds in a row and should prefer this shorter trip. DAWNOFANEWDAY (best weighted), QUEUE WING and FIGHT SONG, like ARTIC TUNE, will enjoy a fast pace and it all depends who times it right. BLACK IS BLACK impressed in a sprint last time.

Race Summary: QUEEN’S WOOD made a form return when having his second start for Kom Naidoo who is in hot form. He fought hard to hold off BEECHAMWOOD BOY and NORTHERN WARRIOR who re-oppose at better weight terms. BEECHAMWOOD BOY ran another good race straight after and the form line should hold up. MUSIC IS LIFE held form out of the maidens last time out and if the outside draw is not a hindrance could prove to be dangerous. EDDIE THE MOVER has beaten him and is speedy – he is the one to watch out for. Both TRIBUTE TO YOU and QUEST FOR THE BEST have drawn well and could take it.

Race Summary: STANLEY PARK earlier finished ahead of WINTER BARON and is better off at the weights. The latter is much better than that and a few runs back took course-and-distance specialist Faustino to the wire. SIKHULU has beaten Faustino but may have had interrupted preps recently. He is a lot better than his recent form. It was good to see IRFAANS BOY show a lot of speed in his last start – he just found one better – hopefully he can confirm and hold on this time. HOOVES OF TROY would be most deserving. He has run well for a long time without winning. Horses from the inside barriers could upset.
