The first, a Qualified Maiden, could rest between Global Outlook and Firu Star but there will be plenty of support for battling Allaroundtheworld.

Global Outlook has the worst of the draw but has been improving steadily and looks primed for this. A danger will be Firu Star was touched off last run but he is not the easiest. If he can reproduce that run, he is a big runner. Allaroundtheworld is struggling to shed his maiden but was close-up over course and distance last run and could finally crack it.

The second is a nightmare maiden. Aspoestertjie (Cinderella in Afrikaans) has been knocking at the door. She gets a stronger rider and could finally get it right. French Princess is sure to start at long odds but showed good pace before fading on the turf last run and the poly and this trip could suit. Meredith Grey showed up nicely last run on the poly after a lengthy break and the stable is starting to come to form. Captain Marvel is lightly raced and goes well on the poly. Can go close.

Paul Gadsby sends out Cappriccio and the stable that is hitting form. The filly has been close up in recent outings and has dropped in the handicap so now looks competitive off of her new mark. Special Charm took on much stronger last run and is down in class and trip and looks more than capable in this field. Ignore last run of Top Honours and has a chance on previous while Shell Seeker has had problems but showed signs of coming to hand last run and can surprise.

The fourth is a tricky handicap but Royal Kitty has been close-up at recent starts and is long overdue another win. She goes well over course and distance and should be right up there. Aisling steps up in trip with a 4kg claimer up and although she has been up against stronger in the shorter sprints, she does see out the trip. Birdwatcher goes well over course and distance and has a handy weight while Also Alex got a hefty handicap rating after her maiden win and could still battle at these weights.

Kom Naidoo is two-handed in the fifth with Higher Purpose and Edward Longshanks. Higher Purpose could prove the pick as he has come good with blinkers and was a comfortable winner on the poly last run. He only got a two-point rise in the handicap and now gets a 4kg claimer up. Garth Puller saddles Bristolbeaufighter who has been taking on stronger at recent outings over further. He could prove better over this shorter trip with a five-point drop in the handicap and his stable in form. Edward Longshanks has been narrowly beaten at his last two for his new stable. He should go close again.

Veteran Path To Fame found market support last start and made good improvement but still got a two-point drop in the ratings. From the best of the draw he looks to have a live chance in the sixth. We All Chommies was well fancied last run but was beaten by the draw. He has a better gate here and can go one better. Life Goes On has come on nicely at recent outings and was close-up over course and distance last run and got a two-point raise in the handicap for his troubles while Hampton Court comes from a very much in form stable. The eight-year-old has made steady recent improvement and he must have a strong chance.

Another small but tricky field faces punters in the seventh. Banzai Pipeline has been taking on stronger at recent outings and now steps up to a more suitable trip. He should have a big chance but Sonjador has come on at his last two but the last was a touch too far. He can do better over this shorter trip. Eventidor was rewarded last run for his consistency on Monday and did not get a penalty so can go in again. Exceeder ran poorly on the poly first up but has some useful Cape form. That last effort is probably best ignored.

It does not get any easier in the last. Trump My Queen should start at good odds as she has been up against stronger at recent outings. She showed up well on the poly last run and is down in class. Bell Jar is not the biggest but is always game and has come well at recent outings. She has the best of the draw and should be right up there in this company. Maria Callolina has run two strong races up against stronger. She has a good record over course and distance and has a big chance in this line-up while Lunar Eclipse is way better than her last effort which is best ignored. Her last win was over course and distance and she too has drawn well.
