Race 10 Number 12 Zero Hedge

Smashed in the betting last start at this track and distance two weeks ago, coming in from $23 to an SP of $13, however he endured no luck in the run, sitting four-wide throughout and finishing off fairly into fourth, beaten 2 1/2 lengths.

Trainer John Size has him in good form this season and with a bit of luck running, he looks a player down the bottom of the weights in an open race.

Race 11 Number 14 Ezra

One to watch second-up while rising to a more preferred distance of 1400m than the 1000m he resumed over 25 days ago, however his 11th placing that night was better than it reads. After becoming badly crowded early, he was steadied to the rear and completely out sprinted, however he returned the fastest final 400m in the event while his mid-race figures were also of note, suggesting more merit to the run than his finishing position reads.

He has trialled very well in between runs and in a wide-open race, he can surprise against this lot.

Race 2 Number 1 Demons Rock

Has been knocking on the door in five runs in Class 5, placings at his last two starts while also showing tactical versatility. He caught the eye with fast finishing second over 1000m first-up 21 days ago, jumps from a handy barrier 2 this week and should get every chance to breakthrough.

Race 5 Number 13 Happy Alumni

Racing in good form but just needs some luck in running and the jockey fought him too much last start at this track and distance 14 days ago, which resulted in him overracing throughout. To his credit, he let down the fastest in the event for a nice third, making up the most ground in the event behind up-and-comer Fantasy. A weaker contest this week, where he looks a strong winning hope.
