Race 6 Number 5 MASSIVE POCKET

Had little luck last start over 1000m at this track when jumping from a wide draw and racing wide throughout. To make matters worse, he was hampered at the 600m and taken even wider, coursing the turn the furthest out.

Closed off well in the second fastest sectional of the race, beaten 6 ¼ lengths. Draws widest in barrier 12 and will need a whole lot of luck, but his form is good enough for a race of this nature.

Race 8 Number 8 THIS IS CLASS

Made his Class 3 debut 14 days ago off an eight-month spell and his second place was solid that night after doing a lot of early work from barrier 11. Travelling second in the run, the +6.2 lengths above average to the 400m he returned is simply too quick, but he withstood the early speed better than the rest and was only swamped inside the final 100m, beaten ¾ of a length.

Draws lower this week and on paper, this looks an easier contest with less pressure.

Race 3 Number 5 VILLA FIONN

Has been plagued by wide barriers in recent starts and subsequently ridden negatively, still returning impressive late splits. Comes into barrier 6 this week which should see him position handier, in a winning position.

Race 5 Number 5 CASA DE FORCA

Was steadied early from a wide draw over 1200m last time and settled at the rear, finishing off the fastest for a three-length beaten margin. Steps back up to a suitable 1650m and is drawn much better. Can revert to leading and give a good sight.
