Race 3 Number 3 Golden Kid

Will be suited by the drop back in distance after a luckless run over 2200m 28 days ago. Completely missed the jump that night, losing about four lengths to the field before mustering to settle fifth in the running.

Lost more ground from the 600m as tiring horses fell back into him but eventually finished nicely into third once clear. Holds form with a nice trial and looks a good each-way shout.

Race 9 Number 8 Ambitious Heart

Jumped from barrier 13 over 1200m at Sha Tin second-up 38 days ago and was steadied to the rear of the field. From his position in running, he returned the biggest mid-race splits and also likeable late race splits, and his 12th place finishing position is better than it reads as he was only beaten 3 ¼ lengths.

Returns to a preferred track and distance and based on his first-up second place here, he looks a good chance in an open race having drawn a better barrier.

Sectional Time Stars

Race 1 Number 1 Demons Rock

Has had excuses at his last two starts, but returned the fastest last 400m split in the race on each occasion for a close up sixth and fourth place. Blinkers are applied while seeing Class 5 for the first time can see prove him a big winning chance.

Race 7 Number 2 Powermax

Has had no luck with barriers having drawn no lower than stall 10 at eight of his last 10 starts, however his last start eighth placing suggested he’s racing well after returning the third fastest last 400m in the race. Taking a drop to Class 4 should see him ultra-competitive.
