QUEEN’S AWAY has been solidly beaten in both her starts and needs to improve. VENTURA BOULEVARD is a Heavenly Blue filly who is making her debut. She represents trainer Alan Greeff and will be ridden by Richard Fourie. She will not be a surprise winner.

He is a Legislate colt and represents a trainer who has had a few juvenile winners already this year. ROCKING IN RIO showed improvement last time out and could contest the finish. Stable companion RULES OF CONDUCT has Richard Fourie in the irons. He was not disgraced on his Polytrack debut and is a lively danger.

Race Summary: SPLICETHEMAINBRACE fought all the way to the line when touched off by stable companion and runner in this ENCHANTING CHOICE. It was a very pleasing effort as she had previously shown poor form on a soft track. She should make amends for that defeat. ENCHANTING CHOICE showed she likes a wet track when successful that day and is very game, so should fight it out again. AVERNIAN GODDESS seems better on the Polytrack but was not disgraced when not far behind those two runners last time out and must be respected for that. FAMILY POWER is consistent and should also be right there at the finish.

Race Summary: A very open first leg of the Pick 6. MONKEY’S WEDDING got going too late last week on the Polytrack. That run should have brought him on nicely for this race. GREY WARRIOR has proven to be a difficult ride but is course and distance suited and clearly capable of winning a race. BRIGHT ERUPTION showed improvement last time out and could have more to offer. AETHELWULF, WARRIOR SWORD and KHICHDI tend to lack strong finishes but can earn some money. INDESTRUCTABLE is improving and looks capable of winning over this distance.

Race Summary: A competitive handicap. Trainer Justin Snaith looked unlucky not to pick up a couple of handicaps in his last raid and MORFELIHA could do the job for him this time. She has not been beaten far in her last two starts. DANCING IN WINTER has been running well on the Polytrack and cannot be ruled out on this surface. TANZANITE was an impressive winner last time out and could follow up. STRANGE MAGIC is threatening a big run and could earn some money. Alan Greeff-trained two-year-old filly DAFFODIL DELIGHT is an interesting runner in this handicap, taking on her elders. CAPE CAPRI is in good shape and is another to consider.

CURTISS CONDOR is just as good on the grass as on the Polytrack and should contest the finish once again. BLACKBERRY BREEZE is consistent and clearly not out of it. HELIOTROPE is consistent and has made the trip from the Western Cape so must be respected for that.

Race Summary: An interesting race as BOURNEMOUTH did win this race last year. He beat ZATARA MAGIC that day. Since then though, BOURNEMOUTH has not scored again while ZATARA MAGIC has won 4 times, including the big one, the Algoa Cup. Both of these runners, however, may be upstaged on the day by the improving BAD MEDICINE. The Kelly Mitchley-trained gelding is unbeaten in three starts since joining her yard and they have been impressive wins. He tries this longer distance for the first time. JUAN CARLOS and ANATOLIAN SILVER are in good form and can also earn some money.

FREE WORLD and WINTERONTHEGREEN are better than their last run would suggest. BLACK PATH has made the trip from Cape Town and is another to consider.

TRIPPING THUNDER is hat-trick seeking after some solid wins and deserves respect once again. LOTUS SILK liked it back on the turf last time out and is not out of it. WAROFDYNAMITE, PRISCILLA MAISEY, ONE TOO MANY and DIABLO are in good form and are capable of making the frame. REAL WAR is back in form (on the grass) and could earn some more money.

He showed up nicely on the poly at his penultimate start and looks competitive in this line-up. GREEN MILE enjoys the poly and was not far back on her handicap debut. He can feature in the placings.
