Fairview, 20.03.2026, Race 1, Gallops, 1100m, Turf, R78.000, 12:25GMT+2
Race Summary: OLAF THE STOUT only found one better on the day on debut. He showed good pace that day and with that experience will prove hard to beat. The other runners with experience in this race have not shown much so it is left to the four newcomers as possible dangers. Two of the from the yard of Kelly Mitchley and the other two represent trainer Dean Smith. Stable jockey Muzi Yeni (Mitchley) is aboard the INTO THE RED an Erik The Red colt. Stable rider Craig Zackey (Smith) rides CHIM CHIM CHEREE, a Chimichuri Run filly.
Selections: #5 Olaf The Stout, #7 Chim Chim Cheree, #3 Into Red Space, #6 Rocking In Rio
Fairview, 20.03.2026, Race 2, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R78.000, 13:00GMT+2
Race Summary: OBSIDIAN STAR only found star filly Marchland a bit too good on her debut. She can go one better this time around. Trainer Alan Greeff has also had a fair number of juvenile winners so his representative, MALIBU ICE, a Malmoos filly, will have her supporters. PRINCESS OF AJIAAL has not been disgraced in her two starts and should contest the finish. SABOTEUR flopped last time out but could collect minor money. ROSES FOR TREX, a Horizon filly, makes her debut so monitor the betting regarding her.
Selections: #2 Obsidian Star, #1 Malibu Ice, #3 Princess Of Ajiaal, #4 Roses For Trex
Fairview, 20.03.2026, Race 3, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R75.000, 13:35GMT+2
Race Summary: HOMING PIGEON is very consistent and has been battling to win in the Western Cape. She has improved with the aid of blinkers and could break the ice for visiting trainer Justin Snaith. ONE SUMMER is showing her best form now on the turf and can get involved with the finish once again. MISSOURI FLAME was touched off on the Polytrack last time and could contest the finish again. OH MANDY is not reliable but is always capable of running into the money. TOUCH THE SWORD and MEDITERRANEANFLAME are capable of minor money.
Selections: #1 Homing Pigeon, #3 Missouri Flame, #2 One Summer, #4 Oh Mandy
Fairview, 20.03.2026, Race 4, Gallops, 1800m, Turf, R94.000, 14:10GMT+2
Race Summary: An Interesting race. Western Cape raider SONG TO THE MOON is not in the top 6 best-weighted runners for this race. He does still seem capable of winning a race of this nature. GLOBAL ALLY broke a long losing run when scoring in his penultimate start but did not repeat that last time out. He is a real threat to these rivals, though. PAS DE NOM did not show his best last time out but does represent bang-in-form trainer Jacques Strydom. HONORABLE MEMBER and GEORGE HANDEL are better than their most recent runs and deserve some respect. GINGER DELIGHT has won on the turf but does seem to prefer the Polytrack these days. HEEMSTEDE is capable of getting into the thick of the finish as well.
Selections: #5 Song To The Moon, #1 Global Ally, #7 Ginger Delight, #3 Honorable Member
Fairview, 20.03.2026, Race 5, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R94.000, 14:45GMT+2
Race Summary: Probably the most competitive race on this card and it may pay to go very wide in the exotics, especially the Pick 6. LA LANDONNE showed improvement last time and from a decent enough draw could score. FAMILY POWER is consistent but will have a difficult draw to overcome. LADY BOMBER continues to win her races from pole position she may yet score again. EXQUISITE is not reliable but is capable of winning. Stable companions CHERRY OH BABY and DUPONT EMERALD are both in good shape and not out of it. VOLARE E MAMBO is at the top of her game so must be respected. MOUNTAIN HIGH makes her local debut and would not be a surprise winner.
Selections: #11 La Landonne, #3 Lady Bomber, #2 Family Power, #4 Exquisite
Fairview, 20.03.2026, Race 6, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R175.000, 15:20GMT+2
Race Summary: A good field for this Listed race and we should get a competitive finish. FAIRY KNIGHT has won his last three starts and has a win over this course and distance so is the one to beat. CRUISE CONTROL is very speedy and has won over this track and trip. ANUSCHKA’S WORLD and stable companion ROMAN AGENT have had turns beating one another and both should be right there at the finish once again. MERCANTOUR just needed his last run and is clearly not out of it. BLACK EGRET makes his local debut and is another to consider.
Selections: #1 Fairy Knight, #6 Roman Agent, #4 Mercantour, #2 Cruise Control
Fairview, 20.03.2026, Race 7, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R250.000, 15:55GMT+2
Race Summary: A small field but a good race. ANOTHERDANCEFORME has only lost once in 8 starts and that was at HWB Kenilworth. She returned from a break with a facile victory over this course and distance last month and she can add another victory to her tally. If there is to be a danger Western Cape raider IN A TIMELY MANNER is it. He showed what he is capable of with a very easy win last time out and could have more to offer. It is very hard to see any of the others as winners. SILVA CITY has ability and will not go down without a fight. AUGUSTA ROSSO and ACTION AMERICA have place chances.
Selections: #4 Anotherdanceforme, #1 In A Timely Manner, #5 Silva City, #6 Augusta Rosso
Fairview, 20.03.2026, Race 8, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R100.000, 16:35GMT+2
Race Summary: The normal Friday afternoon big race handicap last race. Visiting trainer Justin Snaith has a good record in races of this nature at this track so MENTE ET MANU could prove to be the right one. PORFIRIO has won his last three starts, including on the turf last time out and is a danger. LAGUNA VERDE has not won for some time but does have a place chance. NEW MEXICO has done well for trainer Tara Laing of late and is not out of it. So for that matter have stable companions DYNALLEY and PEDRO. INGQWELE was a solid winner on the Polytrack last time out and will need to prove he’s as good. WILD FIG is better than his last run and is another to consider.
Selections: #2 Mente Et Manu, #8 Ingqwele, #11 Wild Fig, #3 Porfirio
Best Win: #5 OLAF THE STOUT
Best Longshot: #5 SONG TO THE MOON
