RACE BY RACE PREVIEWS: FAIRVIEW@2026.03.13
Fairview, 13.03.2026, Race 1, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R83.000, 12:20GMT+2
Race Summary: A competitive race as they are open to vast improvement at this stage of their careers. MASTER MTOTO was slow away on debut but did get up to win a good race and with improvement likely he can follow up. Trainer Alan Greeff sends out winners FIRST OFFICER and US RANGER. FIRST OFFICER won on the Polytrack on debut. It may be worth noting stable jockey Richard Fourie rides US RANGER. This colt was narrowly beaten on debut but did beat a subsequent winner last time out and would not be a surprise winner. Stable companions, representing Kelly Mitchley, FYFIELD LEGEND and THE JUDGE have both yet to win a race but are also not out of it.
Selections: #2 Master Mtoto, #3 U S Ranger, #1 First Officer, #4 Fyfield Legend
Fairview, 13.03.2026, Race 2, Gallops, 1000m, Turf, R75.000, 12:55GMT+2
Race Summary: Mostly moderate runners go to the post for this. ATLANTIC PEARL has been consistent of late and she could keep going in a race of this nature. MAGNUS THE GOOD showed improvement on a soft track and with blinkers back on can go one better. HERE COMES JOHNNY is threatening to win a race and must be respected. ALESIAN BEAU and WARRIOR’S SWORD have not been beaten too far in their recent starts and can earn some money. FONTE makes her local debut and could score. DEAD POETS SOCIETY can also be a threat on local debut. LADY MAJESTIC makes her debut so keep an eye on the betting.
Selections: #12 Atlantic Pearl, #1 Magnus The Good, #2 Here Comes Johnny, #3 Alesian Beau
Fairview, 13.03.2026, Race 3, Gallops, 1800m, Turf, R91.000, 13:30GMT+2
Race Summary: A tricky race as most are unproven over this distance. WISHES AND DREAMS impressed the only time she raced on the turf and stable jockey Richard Fourie sticks with her. ROYAL CITY GIRL does see this distance out but may be at her best on the Polytrack. SILVAN MISTRESS is not reliable but is a threat on her best form. ROYAL MISSY has only been modest of late and seems to prefer the Polytrack. ONCIDIUM and POTENZA look likely improvers and could contest the finish. Recent maiden winners LEBOMBO GOLD and SUGAR BABY LOVE are improving and can earn some money.
Selections: #2 Wishes And Dreams, #9 Potenza, #10 Lebombo Gold, #1 Royal City Girl
Fairview, 13.03.2026, Race 4, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R108.000, 14:05GMT+2
Race Summary: ZINOVI got caught out of his ground after an awkward start last time. He did run well to be third behind well-backed LANCIAFIAMME. ZINOVI did beat that rival on 30 January over this course and distance so there should not be too much between them. GUY GIBSON is not an easy horse to ride in that he doesn’t seem to like winning. He is talented, though,⁵ and should be right there at the finish. GOLDEN PEACE has some ground to find with ZINOVI and LANCIAFIAMME but can earn some money. CHEEKY LADDIE was not disgraced last time out but this is a tougher race.
Selections: #1 Zinovi, #5 Lanciafiamme, #6 Guy Gibson, #4 Golden Peace
Fairview, 13.03.2026, Race 5, Gallops, 1600m, Turf, R79.000, 14:40GMT+2
Race Summary: A tricky race and it may be worth loading up with runners in this leg of the Pick 6. KENTUCKY LASSIE showed what she is capable of with a good maiden win. That was her first run on the turf and she won full of a running from a bad draw. She does, however, have to give weight to all her rivals. SUN SPECTACULAR is well drawn and clearly better than her last run would suggest. QONDANEKUKHANYENI showed improvement last time out and could be a threat. ROCKIE BLUE is better than her last run and has Richard Fourie aboard. ROYAL MERMAID and TORI’S GIRL are two of many more in with chances.
Selections: #1 Kentucky Lassie, #2 Sun Spectacular, #3 Qondanekukhanyeni, #7 Royal Mermaid
Fairview, 13.03.2026, Race 6, Gallops, 1400m, Turf, R80.000, 15:15GMT+2
Race Summary: CORAL CREEK has bounced back to form and gets a narrow vote to score. SMIDDYBURN has been kept to the Polytrack so far but shows potential and would not be a surprise winner. PYRO EDITION did not appear to like the Polytrack last time out after some pleasing wins but may need this run returning from a break. FLOWER FESTIVAL is unreliable but has a place chance. GLOBETONIC is better than what he showed last time out and is always capable of an upset. MR BELVEDERE and FLIGHT ENGINEER are in good shape and clearly not out of it.
Selections: #2 Coral Creek, #3 Smiddyburn, #10 Flight Engineer, #11 Mr Belvedere
Fairview, 13.03.2026, Race 7, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R150.000, 15:55GMT+2
Race Summary: A very intersting race. MARCHLAND was an impressive winner on debut and can follow up. Trainer Alan Greeff has won many of these races and has three runners for this year’s race. DAFFODIL DELIGHT won easily on debut but proved no match for MARCHLAND in her second start. QUICK SKETCH was well beaten on debut and needs to improve to score. Stable jockey Richard Fourie rides the unraced CHATTERBOX. She is a Canford Cliffs filly and keep an eye on the betting with her. Rival trainer Dean Smith has the other four entrants incuding ETERNAL SPIRIT and RUNGSTEDLAND who both ran well on debut.
Selections: #5 Marchland, #1 Chatterbox, #8 Rungstedland, #7 Rock Up
Fairview, 13.03.2026, Race 8, Gallops, 1200m, Turf, R80.000, 16:30GMT+2
Race Summary: A very open race. As many as the budget will allow will be needed in all exotics for this race. RHYTHM is consistent and represents the Craig Zackey-Dean Smith combination. DAS GUTE is better than his last run and could surprise. DIABLO showed improvement on local debut and is in with a chance. HOODWINKED, NIGHTJAR, GREEN PLANET and WYLIE JACK are all making their local debuts and are capable of scoring. TEEREX and MUNCHKIN are in good form and must be included in all bets.
Selections: #11 Rhythm, #15 Green Planet, #10 Nightjar, #9 Munchkin
Best Win: #5 MARCHLAND
Best Longshot: #1 KENTUCKY LASSIE
