No hiding from The Mask

The Mask “面具”

Punters face a tricky poly card next Wednesday, with the market likely the best guide.

In the opener, Snow Queen underperformed on her KZN debut but could bounce back, while Predator’s Surprise and Nebulous are both capable of improvement. Harpa, Calli Bullet, and Miss Danon are the main players in race two, with each showing promise in recent runs.

Ms Galore tackles males in the first Pick 6 leg and looks set for a big run, with Desert Dog and poly debutant Light The Fire also of interest. The consistent The Mask carries a big weight but receives 4kg relief and looks tough to beat in race four, while Master Silvano and Professor Lupin could threaten.

Rafiki, The Gliding Fish, Ultra Quick, and Lou The Legend headline the fifth, with Dapper, Prince Of Troy, Parmenion, and Charlie Croker also worth attention. In race seven, Magic Surprise and Grand Appeal are down in class and competitive, while Rafa’s Boy, Ibutho, Fate Of Fortune, and Winter Waves all have claims.

Austrian Beauty could finish the day strongly, with Grand Force, Time In Paris, and Trafalgar Square also capable in the closing open handicap.
