Trainer Alan Greeff has two entered and Richard Fourie will be aboard US RANGER who is an Act Of War colt. The Erupt colt SECRET ERUPTION is a Sharon Kotzen-trained runner. BLU CELESTE is the only filly in the race and runs for trainer Cliffie Miller.

Race Summary: A big field of runners who look like they have been waiting for a run on the turf. ROCKIE BLUE looked unlucky not to win on debut and finished off his race nicely in his second start. Those runs were on the Polytrack and he will need to prove himself on the turf, but he is the one to beat. BOURNE SUPREMACY, DOWN TOWN CODY and SUSURRANDO all make their local debuts and are capable of improvement. RIVER FERN is knocking loudly at the door and could go one better. FOCAL POINT returns from a break but did run well behind a runner that has won a couple of times since then.

Race Summary: An interesting race. Trainer Dean Smith has his stable streaming out winners constantly and has improving ALL SYSTEMS GO for this. He ran a cracker in Gauteng recently and the further he has done the better he has looked. Rival trainer Alan Greeff has been a lot quieter than normal of late but ROYAL KINGDOM on his last three starts will not go down easily. BUFFALO BILL impressed with a good win last time out and clearly gets on with jockey Wayne Agrella so must be respected. Those three runners look best but SMIDDYBURN is improving and might make the frame.

Race Summary: LADY LIMONCELLO has some fair Gauteng form so it is a bit of a surprise to see her make her Eastern Cape debut for a different trainer. She could be a bit better than these rivals. LANA VIEW is threatening to win and her last run, although a costly defeat, still had merit as she did too much too early that day. AMANATTO is also very costly to follow but she is threatening a first win and will not be far away from the winner at the finish. OCEAN FLAME has been consistent on the Polytrack of late and will need to show she is as good on the grass.

Trainer Alan Greeff has 5 of the 9 carded for this race and stable jockey Richard Fourie sits on consistent HOT SAUCE who will be a lively threat. SWEETIE DARLING has had some nice wins this season and can earn some more money.

GOT THE FEVER, FLOWER FESTIVAL and FLASH LIGHTNING are all capable of better than their last starts and are capable of getting involved with the finish. SILENT TRIGGER has shown improvement of late and must be included in all bets.

SPLICETHEMAINBRACE has been unreliable of late but does have ability and must be respected. Stable companion HOERIKWAGGO has won her last two starts and will be a real threat to these rivals. ENCHANTING CHOICE may have just needed her latest start and is not out of it. HONORABLE MEMBER and EAST COAST GIRL are both in very good form but this is a tougher ask for them.

THUNDER MASTER deserves a winning turn after some good performances this season. PANNING GOLD and SUPREME JUDGE seem better than their last run suggests and can be included in all permutations. HOLLANDIA BAKKERIJ is improving and should fight out the finish yet again.

KING OF VICTORY has been unreliable of late but is capable of winning. GLOBAL SPEAK and GLOBAL DRUMBEAT have both put up good last start performances and are not out of it. ROTOTO ran on well last time out and could like this longer distance on the grass this time. DONNY’S BOY and FUTURE SAINT are capable of shining brightly.
