Race 1 – 1 SNOWTHORN
His last-start fifth was much better than it reads after he bounced straight to the lead and set a frantic pace. With the first 400m run well inside standard sectional time, he was entitled to weaken in the straight, beaten 4.25 lengths over this track and distance.
Making his Class 5 debut this week, he looks ideally placed to break through against moderate rivals, despite carrying top weight.
Race 2 – 4 HONORARY
An awkward jump on debut 42 days ago saw him settle well off the speed, and he then struggled to find clear galloping room until inside the final 150m. Once seeing daylight, he attacked the line strongly to finish eighth, just 3.5 lengths from the winner over 1000m.
The rise in distance should suit, and with that debut run under his belt, he is expected to improve—provided he jumps cleanly.

Race 4 – 1 ENDEARED
He showed little when settling towards the rear from a wide draw last start, a run that doesn’t reflect his true ability. Prior to that, he had recorded fast final 400m sectional times on several occasions, and with the drop back to Class 4—where his best form lies—a much improved effort looks imminent.
Race 11 – 9 TIN FOOK
From a wide draw last start, he was forced to settle off the speed before running on strongly to finish seventh behind the talented INVINCIBLE IBIS over 1600m. That form has since stood up well, marking him as one to follow in what shapes as a wide-open affair this week.
