Astral Way A decent fourth in a Maiden over 1400m at Deauville on 12 December. Trying further this time but must be a key contender. Gariyann An adequate debut when tenth in a Maiden over 1400m at Deauville on 12 December. That run will have brought him on and he should be competitive in this line-up.
RACE 2: ILE DE MOLENE STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 3100M – TIME: 23:42 PRIZE MONEY: EUR12800
Rejaitt (IRE) Showed up well when second in a Handicap over 2400m at Deauville on 13 December. Australian blinkers helped last time, and she will wear them again. Blanche Epine (FR) An encouraging fourth in a Handicap over 2400m at Deauville on 13 December. That was her first run on the sand, and it must make her a contender. Saramo (FR) Lightly raced gelding who ran fifth in a Handicap over 2400m at Croise-Laroche on 3 November. Could progress further fitted with blinkers. Betise (FR) Showed up well when fifth in a Handicap over 2000m this course on 29 November. Ran on well but could be tested over this longer trip. Not out of this.
RACE 3: ILE DE BREHAT MAIDEN STAKES (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 2400M – TIME: 00:17 PRIZE MONEY: EUR11900
Yogui (FR) Well beaten when second in a Maiden over 2400m at Toulouse on 16 November. A consistent sort who deserves his first victory. Anima Sana (IRE) A competent sixth in a Maiden over 2400m at Deauville on 23 December. That was her first run for a new yard and there could be more to come. Help Davier (FR) A decent fifth in a Handicap over this course and distance on 19 December. Has run well on this track and needs to be respected. Rigel (FR) Looked good when fourth in a Maiden over 3000m at this course on 28 December. Lightly raced and drops in trip, but she could show further progress.
RACE 4: ILE D’OUESSANT HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) – 2100M – TIME: 00:52 PRIZE MONEY: EUR16300
Rio (FR) Performed well to finish third in a Handicap over this track and trip on 14 December. Beaten 1.25 lengths by SHARK SAMURAI (2) on that occasion but will be 2.5kg better off this time. Shark Samurai (IRE) A solid winner of a Handicap over this course and distance on 14 December. Won with a bit in hand and could overcome the 2kg penalty. Le Sage (FR) Showed up well when fifth in a Claimer over 2400m at Deauville on 7 November. Could come back nice and fresh from a short break. Should run well. Golden River (FR) Another good effort when fourth in a Handicap over 1600m at this course on 26 December. Loves this course and has her best form over this 2100m.
