Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million
Juvenile maidens with all but one racing for the first time. We’ll side with experience though and (8) SUPERDAY came from off the pace to run 3rd on debut over 1000M back in September. He has had over two months off, but the experience should stand him in good stead and the step up in trip can suit. (1) G FLEX was an on pace 2nd in his trial in a decent time. He draws well to lead and can be in this a long way. (9) ROAD TO MOCCASIN and (2) PAS DE CHEVAL came home 1st and 2nd when trialing together on November 6th. Moon Se-young being booked on the latter means he is sure to be backed. (11) BINNALEEDS another who won her trial.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
After winning a trial. (11) HAKSAN TAEPUNG ran 2nd on debut over this distance on November 1st, leading for much of the way. She has the challenge of the widest gate here but should have come on for that run and can win. (2) YONGBIGYO has a 5th and a 3rd from two starts so far, most recently at this distance on November 2nd when on pace throughout. Third-up she can be peaking fitness wise, and she is a danger. (3) SEVEN KAISER has a 3rd and two 4th place finishes from three outings to date racing handy in each of them. From a good draw he can be on the speed and should be in the mix again. (4) RAON SNIPER and (5) SU BU TAI others who can challenge for the minors.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(5) LIVE STAR has a 2nd, a 3rd and a 4th from three outings to date most recently over this distance on October 18th. From a good draw and in the absence of any early speed in this race, he should be on or close to the pace from the start and he will be a short price favourite to score. (1) EAN PERFECT has been slow away both times so far but has run on well enough over 1200M. The step up in trip can suit, and he should be much closer today. (2) ROAD TO STAR has mixed his form but does have a couple of 4th places to his name, most recently at this trip and that’s enough to have him in placing contention here. (11) BEOLGYO ALADDIN and (9) K N STORM others who can challenge for a place.

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
Fillies only here. (11) HWANSANGUI NARA was 3rh in August’s Rookie Stakes and while she finished down the field in Listed juvenile company in September, she returned to shallower waters to get her maiden win over 1300M on October 19th. Leading all the way. She comes up in class and distance here and while she gets neither a weight drop or a good draw, she is the one to beat. (7) ECHO STAR was a winner on debut over 1000M on October 18th showing on pace throughout. She is up in class but should have come on for that run and she can measure up. (4) CLUB Q got her maiden win at this distance two outings back and then ran 4th on her first try at this class a month ago. She is up slightly in weight but should be in the mix. (10) GINA SONG and (6) TIGER ROAR are other chances.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(4) SAMJEONG SPIDER was an all the way winner on debut over 1200M on October 18th, scoring by plenty. He comes up in class and marginally in trip, but the manner of that win suggests that there can be more to come and down in weight and nicely drawn, he can win again. (10) GRAND KWAEMA is the wildcard. He hasn’t raced since this March and while he didn’t win before the layoff but finished in the top four in each of his six starts and while he didn’t offer too many clues in a competent trial at the end of October, Moon is booked, and he can go well. (2) NAEGILUI ACE is a winner at this class and enters off a 4th place at 1300M on October 25th which she can be aiming to match or better here. Last start winner (5) ROYAL SOCKS along with (8) GLOBAL HAMSEONG also strong chances.

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(5) DANGDAECHOWOL finally broke through at the thirteenth time of asking at this class and distance on November 1st, coming from off the pace. The win had been coming and while he is up 2.5kg in weight, he can hold his form against this set of rivals. (2) LOVE SCARLET is yet to win but has several near-misses across her seven starts so far and the step up to two turns for the first time could be what she needs to get one on the board under a light weight. (8) GEUMBIT POWER came from well off the pace to score over 1400M on October 18th and while up in class and in trip, he too is down in weight and can measure up (3) CHAM BBAREUN MAL and (9) BLACK RUSSIAN others in the frame.

(9) ROPPONGI DRAGON returned from over four months out to run 7th of eleven over 1700M on November 2nd. He should strip fitter for that run, he has placed twice at today’s distance, and he can win here. It’s been a while since (4) SEOUL DOLPUNG last saluted but he has been getting back closer over his latest few, culminating in a 2nd place at this class and distance on October 26th when he led for most of the way. He is up 2kg here but draws very well to lead again and he could go all the way. (11) GANGCHEOL JEONSA overcame the same wide gate as today to beat a couple of today’s rivals on his way to 3rd place at this class and distance on October 18th and can be in the mix again. (8) MK LEE and (1) WHITE CARLA among others to keep safe.

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
A mixture of experienced locals and inexperienced imports. (1) WE GO HIGH was a class and distance winner back in August and since then has a 4th and a 3rd from two subsequent appearances, most recently beating a couple of these when leading for much of the way on October 26th. Moon Se-young has won twice on his and from the inside gate they should get on pace and this time not get caught. (9) RAON SILENCE has won her latest two in quick times over 1300M, both times from on the speed. She is up in class here but down 3kg in weight and can be competitive again. (10) BEOLGYO NAKSEONG debuted all the way back in 2024 but didn’t run again until this September 21st when 4th at this class and distance. He can build on that here. (11) HANAM ELDORADO and (2) MY MUNNINGS others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 9: Class 3 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million
(7) STAR TREK wsn 4th in a competitive Trophy race over this distance on international weekend before finishing 2nd at this class and distance on October 18th when handy to the speed and beating a few of today’s rivals. She only comes up 1kg in weight and she can go one better here. (9) HANSEN BRACING is a winner of three of her last four, all at this distance and most recently on her first try at this class on November 1st when settling midfield and running on. She is up 3kg in weight, but a hat-trick can’t be ruled out. (5) PALO ALTO will need a line drawn through her latest, but she may welcome the drop back to a distance at which she is two for two and of she can get to the lead – which she should – she can be close. (2) RUN WILD and up in class veteran (6) YESULIYA others to consider.

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million
Wide open race. (11) MIRACLE HANAM returned from over six months out to run a close 2nd at this class over 1200M on November 1st. He should have derived benefit from that run, the step up to 1400M for the first time can suit, and he can win. (5) ELDORADO NOLBU was a class and distance winner two starts back before running 2nd on November 2nd, showing close to the pace for the first time. An apprentice takes 4kg off his back and that should make him a big chance here. (6) HEALING HAVEN hasn’t raced since a solid 5th place in a Trophy race in early September, but the veteran looks nicely in here for some appeal at an each-way price. (4) ACE K and (10) NO PROBLEM among plenty of others with chances.

(2) WONDERFUL NORTHERN has nine top two finishes from fifteen starts and comes in having won over this distance last time out. He is up in class here but down in weight, is well drawn, and he can win again. Since his latest win in June, (4) GANGNARU has finished 2nd in four consecutive races, two of them at this distance and with the most recent being his first try at this class. He remains under a light weight and should be there or thereabouts again. (1) BROWN GOLD is a class 2 winner at 2000M and was 2nd last time out on October 18th. From the inside gate, he can settle behind the speed, and he can be in the finish. (10) DRAGON BULPAE and (7) TRAUM KING are the other main contenders in a competitive finale.
