Korea Racing Busan Preview – 28 November

Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million

Juvenile maiden fillies with seven of the twelve racing for the first time. (11) BORYEONGUI SINYONG debuted back in August when she came from off the pace to dead-heat for 3^rd place over 1000M. She hasn’t raced since, but she won a trial just last Saturday, and so long as she didn’t leave her race there, she can win this. (5) MOMENTUM ran 5^th of twelve on debut, racing handy throughout and like all the previously raced ones, should have come on for the experience. Turning to the first timers, (2) POWERFUL RUBY led all the way to win her trial in a fair time. She draws very well to lead here and can be in things a long way. (4) VICTORIA CHUKJE and (3) GOLDEN TIARA also ran well in their trials and if they bring that form to the races, they can be in the finish.

Busan Race 2: Class 4 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million

More juvenile maidens, this one for the imports and open to the boys (5) SENSATIONAL WIN didn’t do much on debut but was a much-improved 2^nd at start two over this distance on November 7^th, coming from off the pace and beating two of the other experienced ones here. Third-up, he can have a fitness edge and can go one better. (1) GYEONGBOK STREGA came from the widest gate to lead his second trial on October 25^th and ultimately cross the line narrowly in front. He gets a much better draw for his debut and the Maximum Security colt can put in a bold showing for brand new trainer Kim Hye-sun. (6) SKY WIN WIN was a fair 6^th on debut over 1400M and can improve. (2) TYCANTHUNDER and (3) MR. PRIME both looked well in their trials, the latter in the same heat as Gyeongbok Strega and both can be in the mix.

Busan Race 3: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million

Absolutely wide-open maiden. (4) VICTORY STORY has six top four finishes from eight attempts and enters off his best so far when 2^nd over 1300M on November 2^nd, coming from off the pace and beating three of today’s rivals. He comes up to 1400M for the first time and can go one better. (5) JEONGMUN FELIX returned from six months out to run 5^th from a wide gate on November 7^th over 1200M. He should strip fitter for that run, he draws much better and he can go much closer today. (6) YONGBI SHARK was 5^th behind Victory Story on November 2^nd having led. He can lead again and be in this a long way. (12) SERYEONDOENWISUN and (11) MAGIC SHOW among plenty of other chances.

Busan Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

A clearer cut favourite in this one. (4) TOHAMSAN DRAGON ran 2^nd in both his first two starts before winning his first try at this class over 1300M on October 31^st when leading all the way around. He comes up 3kg in weight and is slightly up in trip, but he draws well to lead again and, in this company, he can follow up. (9) FANTASTIC EAGLE got his win at start number two in maiden company on October before running 5^th behind Tohamsan Dragon last time out. Seo Seung-un returns to the mount here and with a weight swing, he can get closer. (8) GLOBAL FORCE is yet to win but is up in class after a few near misses, including at this distance on October 31^st. She is down in weight and can be in contention for the places here. (1) MAGIC ELEVEN and (5) MUHAN NAREUSHA are others in the hunt for the minors.

Busan Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

Fillies only and two standouts. (11) WORLD DANCER CAT came from off the pace over this distance on debut on October 17^th to win comfortably. She is up in class but down in weight, Franco stays on, and she can go back-to-back. It is the experience over the distance that gives her the edge over (6) ROAD TO CLEO, who will probably be favourite. She was an eye-catching winner over 1000M on debut on the same day, starting steadily before quickly taking things up in the straight. Up in class and up in trip, she can measure up on both counts. (8) GRAND TREE won at start two in September at 1200M before running 3^rd in a very similar class and distance race to this on October 26^th when coming from off the pace. She is only up 1kg in weight and can be competitive. (10) GLOBAL HEROINE and (2) QUEENS DRAGON others in the frame.

Busan Race 6: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million

(7) TWIN RAINBOW scored at start number two in a filly maiden over 1000M in August and then had almost three months off before returning with a close 2^nd from the widest gate at this class and distance on November 7^th.  She can strip fitter here, she’ll be on or close to the pace, and she is the one to beat. (10) MEGA PLAY and (11) GOOGLE CAR came home 1^st and 2^nd respectively when they raced each other at this class and distance on November 2^nd. There is a 2kg weight swing in Google Car’s favour this time, but both can be in the finish here. (5) NEW LEADER mixes her form but on her 3^rd place two starts back is with some interest. The form falls off rapidly after those so given his draw, the veteran (2) DAEHOMA may just sneak some minor money.

Busan Race 7: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(11) ROAD TO PARTY was a winner at this class over 1200M in August before running 2^nd at this distance on September. He took a shy at the class 3 stumps on October 24^th and ran a very solid 4^th and while he gets whacked with 6kg for coming back in grade, he could be too good here. (1) ROAD TO SPRING is the danger for the same owner. She was a front running winner over 1200M on October 17^th and while up in class and in trip, she is down in weight, nicely drawn, and can repeat. (9) NAEPYEON doesn’t win out of turn but rarely runs a bad race and should be around the placings again. (5) WATER DRAGON and (6) ONE WAY among plenty of others in the money frame.

Busan Race 8: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(5) DOCTOR CHRIS has two wins and two 2^nd places from four starts with his latest coming at this distance on October 24^th when he led all the way around. He is up in class and while he doesn’t get much of a weight drop, he looks to have loads of potential, and he can win again. That will mean beating the probable strong betting favourite (1) MATONGNYEONG. He was a winner at this class and distance at the end of September and then ran 2^nd on October 26^th having raced on pace throughout. He has his fair share of weight here, but he draws well to be on pace and Seo Seung-un being engaged for the first time will shorten his price further. (8) OASIS WINNER beat three of these on his way to a class and distance 2^nd on October 31^st and while up 2kg in weight, can be in this. (4) CARIBBEAN BAY and (6) ARONDIGHT among other chances.

Busan Race 9: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(9) YOUNG SKYWALKER comes out of a rather optimistic swing at the G1 President’s Cup at Seoul last month. Prior to that he was 3^rd in the Minister’s Cup, the final leg of the Triple Crown, and then was a class 4 winner and class 3 runner up over this distance. Back in the shallow end today, he should have far too much. (3) BEOLGYO MASULSA has won two of his last three and accordingly finds himself up in class today. He can race on pace, but he has a very strong finish on him and under a light weight, he is the main danger. (2) YOUR TURN has been given two very difficult assignments since returning from seven months out and this should be far more suitable. (7) SEOBU VISION and (8) RAON THE MASKE the other main chances in a good finale.
