Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million
Juvenile maidens with three of the ten racing for the first time. (6) WORLD FIGHTER MAN took several trials to make it to the races, but he performed well on debut over this distance on November 2nd settling midfield and running on for 3rd in a good time. He should have come on for the run, and he can win here. (2) JOY OF QUEEN was a solid 2nd on debut on October 24th, racing on pace over this distance. It was a slow race, but he showed plenty of promise and from a good draw and with some natural improvement, he could go one better. (10) STRONG WINNER was 2nd in a quick trial and while he has the challenge of the widest gate, he looks the best of the first timers. (8) SUNGAN POWER and newcomer (5) FAPPI BABE others who can be in the mix.

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
Fillies only in this maiden with four first timers. (12) LAMPYOJEONGGEENIE was 4th on debut in September and followed up with 3rd at start number two on October 24th when she led over this distance. She has to contend with the widest gate here but third up she can be peaking. (8) WORLD EAGLE CAT has shown promise across three starts so far with her best being 3rd place at 1000M on September 19th. She followed up with 4th on her first try at this distance on October 24th, beating a couple of today’s rivals in the process, and she will be a threat here. (11) WIN GATE did nothing in three starts up to June but she has since been through two trials, winning one and running 2nd in the other and she gets a fresh start today. Kim Hye-sin signs off her riding career with (3) PERFECT FLASH and the filly, who she will be training, can go well first-up. (2) BORYEONG ONE ROAD another who can improve.

(5) SEOBU GAMBLE has been getting closer across seven starts so far, culminating in a 2nd place over 1400M on November 9th when coming from well off the pace. He was 4th on a previous try at a mile, and he can be ready to win here. He will have to overturn the form on (4) SOMANGUIGIL. He ran 3rd to Seobu Gamble’s 4th in that mile race which was on October 19th. He has finished 3rd or 4th in each of his five starts to date and should be on pace and in the mix again. (8) STAY COOL enters off a 2nd and a 4th from her latest two, showing on pace both times. She stretches out in trip here and should be in things a long way. (11) OASIS ADELE and (2) NEVERSTOP HEEMANG among plenty of other place chances.

Busan Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(12) DOCTOR LOUIS ran out of class last time, posting a very good 4th place over this distance. He comes back into class 5 where he has a win and a 3rd place from his two most recent efforts and while that means he gets a big weight on his back, he has every chance. (4) UNJU MAGIC got his maiden win at start four over 1300M in October before taking his chance in Juvenile Listed company a couple of weeks later where he didn’t run badly at all. Back in more amenable company and under a light weight, he can be competitive. (8) BIGBANG CLASS was a big price class and distance winner on October 19th, racing on pace and beating a few of today’s rivals in the process. He comes up 3.5kg in weight but he warrants respect here. (11) BREEDO KELLY and (1) DAEGIL HERO others in the hunt.

Busan Race 5: Class 5 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(8) FORCE BE WITH YOU came from off the pace to beat several of today’s rivals when 2nd to Doctor Chris at this class and distance on October 24th. He comes in under pretty much the same weight, he draws the same gate, and he can go one better today. (2) AMAZING ONE made his breakthrough at start six over 1300M on November 11th having finished 5th of ten in the Rookie Stakes in August. He comes up in class here and significantly in trip, but he is down in weight, Seo Seung-un stays on, and he can be a danger. (7) SEATTLE DREAM is similarly up in class following a maiden win, in her case at the eighth time of asking but at a mile. Her style should suit the extended distance, and she too comes down 3kg in weight with Munro aboard for the first time. (3) ALICE MARINE and (6) GEUMA REJOICE, 3rd and 5th behind Force Be With You on October 24th, among plenty of other money chances.

Busan Race 6: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(9) GEUMA ADEPT was a good winner on debut over 1000M in September before finishing last of eight in Listed juvenile company in October. We’ll draw a line through that is this is a far more straightforward assignment, and he is the one to beat. (3) SONGJEONG TODAY was an all the way winner on debut over 1000M back on September 5th. It wasn’t a fast race, and he’s had eleven weeks off since, but in this modest company he should measure up. The form of the rest is patchy. (8) HANEUL POKPUNG was lackluster from the widest gate last time out but was going well prior to that and can be given another chance here. (11) SIX HERO and (4) CHOEGANG LOUIS are others who are better than their respective latest efforts.

(6) CLUTCH WINNER was supposed to go around in juvenile Listed company last week but unfortunately there wasn’t enough juvenile Listed company willing to take him on and the race didn’t happen. He comes here instead, and he will be a very short price favourite on the strength of his all the way debut win. Under an apprentice claim, (5) SPEED TOP may be the biggest danger. He has finished in the tip two in six of seven tries at this distance and down in weight should be there or thereabouts again. (8) DOCTOR KAREN was a class and distance winner on October 31st, leading all the way. She is up 3.5kg in weight but Seo Sung-un is on for the first time and she can be close. (3) NAKDONG MYEONGJAK and quick trial winner (11) CHATS KHAN others to consider for the minors.

Busan Race 8: Class 3 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million
(1) NICE BUDDY has won his latest three, taking him to four from seven in total, most recently at this class over 1400M on October 24th when he led all the way. He comes up 3kg in weight as well as up to the mile for the first time, but neither should be an issue and he should be winning again. (6) WONDERFUL BIDDER got a bit far back last time before running on for his second consecutive 4th place at this class and distance. He is a two time winner over a mile and can challenge. He will need to overturn the form on (11) AMAZING KHAN, who was 2nd to Wonderful Bidder’s 4th on October 19th. He too has a solid record for the mile and while he again has to contend with a big weight, should be in the mix again. Those three will fill out almost all trio tickets with perhaps (3) AKARAKA and – further back – (7) DANGDAE STAR making the odd appearance.

Busan Race 9: Class 2 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million
A very competitive finale. We’ll take a chance on (5) BATTLE CRY, who had a hard time in G3 company at this distance on October 26th when drawn in a wide gate. Prior to that he was a smart winner at class 3 level and fairly weighted and better drawn, he has as good a chance as any. (6) FLYING KHAN has been working his way back towards another win, most recently running 2nd over 1800M on October 31st when he led from gate to wire. He is up in class and 1400M hasn’t been his best distance – although he places two starts back – but he is down 4kg in weight and shapes a danger. (3) BINNANEUNGIL is a model of consistency and 1400M certainly is his go. He likes to settle back and run on, and he should be there or thereabouts again. (4) POWER SOUND and (1) FLYING ACE among plenty of others who can have a say.
