Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million
Juvenile maidens with three of the twelve racing for the first time. (7) GEOLJAK TIARA is the one to beat though having followed up a 5th place on debut over 1000M in August with 2nd when stepped up to this distance on September 21st. She will be expected to lead here and go all the way. (11) MIGHTY BEAT has also raced twice and was an improved 4th at start two on September 27th. His time was quicker than that achieved by Geoljak Tiara for the same distance and he will be the second favourite. (2) SUPERDAY and (3) BROWN MAMMA came home 3rd and 5th respectively when they debuted together over 1000M on September 13th and both should have come on for the run. Of the three first timers, (8) RAON BLITZ was the best in trials.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
Fillies only in this maiden. (6) RAON SNIPER was an improved 2nd at start two over this distance on September 7th, having raced on pace throughout. She can lead again here and third-up she can be peaking. She will dispute favourite status with (2) CLUTCH LOVE, who debuted in a quick filly race over 1000M on September 20th when she settled midfield and finished off pleasingly. She should have benefited from the experience, and the additional furlong can suit. One of only two three-year-olds in the race, (7) DAJEONGHAN debuted all the way back in February, running 3rd at this distance. She looked very well when winning a trial in late September and can be in the mix first-up. (4) MIGHTY SHINE and (5) MACHEON WORLD other chances.

(9) AWESOME QUEEN has never finished outside the top four and comes in having led at this class for much of the way around on what was her first try at 1800M on September 21st. She actually carries 1kg less today, Moon Se-young climbs up for the first time, and she is very much the one to beat. (6) DRAGON FANTASY has won his latest two, both at 1400M. He comes up in class today, as well as up to two turns for the first time, but he can measure up. (5) BLACK SATANG was a class and distance winner on September 27th, settling midfield and running on. She stays under the same light weight and can be in the finish again. Apprentice claims bring both (7) K POWERFUL and (8) GOMANARU into the placing picture.

Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(5) BURUI SINJEON has made steady progress across four starts so far, culminating in a 2nd place on his first try at this distance on September 21st when emerging from midfield and beating a couple of today’s rivals. Munro stays on and the pair can go one better. (10) STAY COOL didn’t do much in her first two appearances, but she was a much-improved 2nd when sent up to this distance for start three on September 28th when she led until the furlong pole. She is drawn a touch wider than ideal, but in the absence of much speed on her inside, she should be able to find her way to the front, and she can be in this a long way. (12) MUJEOKYI has also made progress over three starts and with a 2nd place last time out can be in this. (7) BEAT BOY and (4) SERYEONDOENWISUN are others in the frame.

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1700M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(3) ALPHA FEMALE got a spin around in the final leg of the Triple Tiara, finishing a cool eight-seconds behind the winner. She does though have a 3rd and a 5th in two starts since then both in similar maidens to this at 1700M. Her draw, which means she should lead again and, to be lazy about this, the booking of Moon Se-young for the first time, put her on top. (5) MR.CARA enters off a best to date 3rd place at 1400M on September 20th. He comes up to two turns for the first time and in this company, it can suit. (8) TTOSUNI SEOUL returned from three months off to run 4th over 1400M at the end of September. He has placed at this distance and stripping fitter for that run, can get closer. (2) MAX MAN and (11) YEOMYEONGUI SUNGAN others to consider on a place line.

Fillies (and one mare) here. (2) ALL THE BEST got her maiden win at start number three over 1400M on September 14th when leading from gate to wire and stopping the clock in a good time, a full nine-lengths to the good. She comes up in class here but draws well and the manner of that victory means she will be a short price to repeat. (12) QUEENS DRAGON was a winner at this class over 1200M on September 19th. She comes up 3kg in weight and has the challenge of the widest gate, but she can be competitive again. (10) STRAWBERRY QUEEN is up in class after scoring by sic-lengths over 1200M on September 19th. She and fellow up in class last start winner (11) GRAND TREE can measure up in this company. (9) WIND ROSE another to look out for on a place line.

(7) STORM TROOPER had been marching towards a maiden win, and it arrived at start four over 1400M on September 28th when she led all the way. She was placed on her one previous try at 1200M and while she is up in class today, she is very much the one to beat. (1) YONGAM SARANG won at this class two starts back when leading from gate one. She had a hard time from a wide draw on her first try at this class at the start of this month but having drawn the inside this time, if she can ping the start, she may go close. (5) RACE ROSE has mixed her form but going on her close 2nd place at this class and distance two outings back she has to be considered a love chance here (6) SPECIAL FORCE and (8) GEUMSEONG YEOJE are perhaps the best of a less than intimidating rest.

Busan Race 3: Class Open (2000M) Special Weight A / Gyeongnam Govenor’s Cup (KOR G3) / KRW 500 Million
The second leg of the Queens’ Tour Fall/Winter for fillies and mares. (3) BORYEONGLIGHTQUEEN won the final leg of the Triple Tiara at this distance in June and then beat plenty of today’s opposition in the first leg of this series, the Jeju Governor’s Cup over 1400M on September 21st. That was something of a surprise with the 1400M considered a bit sharp for her deep closing style, but she flew home and back at 2000M today, she should be too good. (12) RAON FOREST was 5th in the Jeju Governor’s having won the KNN Cup over a mile in June. The return to 2000M can suit her too and she can be a danger. (10) GLADIUS as ever had a bad start in the Jeju Governor’s before being ridden up to the pace and ultimately blown past by Boryeonglightqueen. She has won in this company before and while untried at 2000M, she can be in the finish here. (15) CATCH THE DREAM and (5) FLYING STAR are other chances.

(7) EVERY TIME is up in class and in distance having finished 2nd in both starts to date, both in quick races at 1000M and 1200M and showing on pace. There is little to fear here for the only juvenile in the race and under a light weight, he can get to the front, and he can make all. (6) HAKSAN PRINCE is yet to win in thirteen but was 2nd at this class and distance two outings back in a close finish, coming from well off the pace, and while he does mix his form, he can go close here. (2) WANGCHOEGO put in a couple of ropey efforts in the summer but came back into form with a close 3rd at this class over 1300M on September 21st. He has placed twice in three attempts at this distance and can be in the finish. (3) RAON NIZHINSKII and (10) MIGHTY CAP among other minor money contenders.

(10) INDY GHOST is a three-time winner at this distance most recently at this class on September 12th when ridden close to the pace. He is up just 2kg in weight, Seo Seung-un returns to the mount, and he can win again. (3) BEOLGYO MASULSA was 3rd behind Indy Ghost in that September 12th race coming from well off the pace but at the start before was a winner at this class over a mile. The weight swing is in his favour and he will have plenty of backers to overturn the form. (9) MATONGNYEONG has won his latest two, most recently at this class and distance on September 28th. He comes up a full 4kg in weight but can be competitive again. (7) ARONDIGHT and (11) FLYING THE KHAN among plenty of others who can go close.

(7) NURI CHEONWANG has never finished any worse than 4th in seven starts and was a solid 2nd place on his first try at this class and distance on September 14th when handy throughout. He comes in under a similar weight and will be strongly favoured to go one better today. (8) MUHAN ARGO is yet to finish any better than 3rd in twelve attempts but she steps up to 1800M for the first time and having run on well for 4th over a mile last time out, it can suit. (5) SEOUL DOLPUNG has a 5th and a 3rd from his latest two, most recently at this class and distance on September 21st. He is down slightly in weight, he draws well, and he can be in the mix. The returning (1) OSONGEUI BYEOL, who has won two trials since he last raced, along with (9) UPPERHAND could also challenge for places.

Fillies and mares only here. (1) GEUMA PRECEDE is thee starts into a comeback following almost a year out and she has run well with a 4th sandwiched between two 3rd place finishes, most recently at 1400M at this class on September 26th. In this company she should be on pace, and she should win. (7) QUEEN OF DRAGON was 4th to Geuma Precede’s 3rd two starts back and registered the same finish on her latest at the start of August. She has three runner-up finishes at this distance and coming in fresh here can aim to repeat. (3) ECHO CHAMP is a winner of two from four and was 3rd over 1400M on her first try at this class on September 19th. She comes up to the mile for the first time and can be competitive. (10) TUHON FIGHTER and (8) FLYING MENACE others in the hunt.

Well drawn to be on pace, he can move on to four wins from six starts here. (1) CIRCLE A finished a solid 3rd on debut over 1000M on September 27th with a couple of today’s rivals behind him. The Higher Power colt comes down 3.5kg in weight under today’s handicap conditions and should have derived benefit from that run. (3) CAROLCHAT won very nicely at this class and distance in August and was 3rd on his latest on September 28th. He’ll be in the mix again. (10) MY EMPIRE and (2) GINSHARI BOY, the latter getting a 4kg apprentice claim, are others in the mix.

(1) MUNHAK BOY has won his last five and takes his chance in Graded race company for the first time. His most recent score was over a mile at class 2 level on September 27th when he took out the Seoul track record for good measure and as a four-time winner at this distance, seemingly getting better every start, he can win. The tempo will be unlike anything he has experienced before though which won’t be the case for (11) VINCERO CAVALLO. He swept the Sprint series in the spring but had a hard time first up in the Korea Sprint in September. He has two wins from three starts at this distance and should be better today. (5) SUPER FINISH was a revelation in the Korea Sprint, finishing as the best of the locally trained horses in 3rd place. He has plenty of experience at this distance too and warrants respect. (15) BLACK MUSK and (16) JEULGEOUNYEOJEONG, the latter skipping the fillies and mares G3 today to come here, are the other top line contenders.

He has had eight more weeks off since, but he should strip fitter for that run, and he will be favourite to return for winning ways. (10) MIGHTY SHONE enters off 2nd place in a very quick race at this class and distance on September 13th. He only comes up 1kg and can be in the mix again at an each-way price. (4) BREEDO SIRIS won over this distance at class 4 level two starts back before running 3rd in another very quick contest on September 28th on his first try at this level. His latest win came from gate ten, he has won under more weight before and he should return to winning ways against what for the level is a modest set of opponents. (5) KING HONOR has been behind Pepper X in two of his last three starts but he is a two-time winner at the distance and under a light weight and from a good gate he can be competitive. (9) THE PLAYER enters off a runner-up finish in a valuable trophy race over 1400M in September and he can be a place chance again here. (2) SATANG SONYEO has won her latest three most recently the JRA Trophy over 1800M last month. She has won at 2000M too and the three-year-old filly can thrive at this extended trip. Stablemate (7) BLACK BELT ran in last year’s Grand Prix, finishing in midfield. His recent body of work has been at 2000M, including a class 1 win in early summer and he too should enjoy getting to go a bit further. With his high rating, (3) NORTHERN TIME is probably Grand Prix bound and an apprentice taking 3kg off can help him get into the mix here. (5) MEGA DRAGON and (6) MAGLE DAY in line for the minors.
