Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million
Juvenile maidens with all but two racing for the first time. (1) FOREVER HIT took two goes to qualify but did so well at the second time of asking, running 3rd behind two experienced horses having shown handy throughout. He should be nice and fit for this and can win. (12) GENERAL WIND won his trial in late September showing on pace. He has the challenge of the widest gate but if he brings that form to the races, he will be in the finish. (11) WALLSTREET was on pace too in her heat, crossing the line in 4th in a decent time and she too can put in a bold showing first up. (5) FANTASTIC BRO and (7) SONGDANG SKY trialed up behind Forever Hit and hinted at ability.

Seoul Race 2: Class 4 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million
Imported juvenile (and one southern hemisphere three-year-old) maidens with seven of the eleven racing for the first time. (3) GEUMA SPLASHY won a trial and then led for most of the way on debut over 1200M on October 3rd, before being passed by Roshe. Drawn well to lead again, the cut back in trip should be in his favour and he will be a strong favourite. (7) MIGHTY CODE took three trials to get to the races but debuted well in 2nd at 1200M coming from well off the pace on August 30th. He should have come on for it and will be finishing strongly. Of the first timers (1) GAMSAUI HIM won his trial in a decent time and that’s enough to put him in the numbers here. (6) ONE DIA significantly improved in a second trial can also be considered first up. Returning to the experience, (11) SOUTHERN BEACH was a fair 4th on debut and can build on that today.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(9) POWERFUL SLEW finished midfield over 1000M on debut in September but was an improved 3rd at start two when stepped up to this trip on October 4th, coming from well off the pace. Third up he can peaking fitness wise and he looks the one to beat. (6) DDATTEUTHAN WIRO has made steady progress across three starts so far with his latest his best when a close 2nd over 1300M, running on. CC climbs up for the first time, the step up in trip can suit, and he can be a danger. (4) CHRYSOL DONGHAE was 2nd on debut all the way back in January but came out of the race lame and didn’t race again until July by which time he was gelded. It was a good return, finishing 3rd at 1200M and while he had further setbacks afterwards, he came back into work in the second week of this month, and he is already a proven performer first-up. (5) PARADISO and (1) SEVEN KAISER are the other placing chances.

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
Fillies only and we’ll take a chance on (11) CLUB Q. After a 3rd and a 2nd, she got her maiden win at start three over this distance at the end of June, coming from off the pace from a similarly wide gate. She is up in class and after seventeen weeks out match fitness must be taken on trust, but she looks worth a go at an each-way price. (2) I AM GO went a bit cold for a couple of races but came back into some form with a 3rd place at this class over 1300M when on pace. She can aim to lead here and be in this a long way. (10) WONDERFUL ALONG mixes her form but on her 2nd place at class and distance two outings back, she has to be given a chance in this company. (4) GIDAEHARA and (6) GOOD FRIEND others in the hunt.

(10) CHOEGANG SPEED has been working back towards another win, most recently when beaten half a length into 2nd at this class over 1300M on September 27th. He has placed three times at this distance, Moon Se-young knows him well, and today can be his day. The additional half-furlong can help him overturn the form on (2) JURING SKY, who won that September 27th race, leading from gate to wire. She only comes up 1.5kg in weight, she draws very well to lead again, and she is not to be dismissed. (11) RAON FINAL was a winner at start two in a filly maiden over 1200M at the end of August. She is up in class and in distance today, but she can measure up. (8) GROUPER and (4) TAYANGUI JEONSA others to consider.

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 45 Million
(8) BLUE SUN got his maiden win over 1700M on August 30th, stalking the leader before taking things up late and running on. He is up in class but down in weight, Maia stays on, and he has every chance of going back-to-back. (7) NAMSAN MINYEO is similarly up in class after her own maiden win at 1700M on September 27th when she led all the way. She comes down 3kg in weight and she can measure up (3) P N S NALA was a class and distance winner in June and with an apprentice jockey taking 4kg off his back today, he should come into the calculations. (2) HEUNGHAENG DOLPUNG and (1) GANGCHEOL POWER, the latter up in class having been 2nd to Namsan Minyeo last time, are others in the minor money frame.

(7) IMRO bumped at the start but otherwise didn’t have too many excuses for a very ordinary effort when sent off as favourite at this class and distance on September 21st. The rest of his form though, including a class and distance win two outings back means that he has enough credit in the bank to be given another chance here. (9) MYUNGJINBULLPAI enters off a very close 2nd place at this class over 1700M on September 21st, coming from well off the pace. She hasn’t placed in three goes at a mile but in this company, she can be finishing strongly. So too can (10) CHANG CHANG SOCKS. He comes in having run 3rd in both his latest two at 1400M, both times from off the pace and coming back to a mile can suit with an apprentice claiming 2kg. (5) SUPER ECTON and (4) GEUMAK MYEONGJANG others to consider.

(6) AIRFORCEONE is a winner of two from four and while the two-year-old had a hard time in the Rookie Stakes, he returned to winning ways when trying this distance for the first time on September 21st, racing handy. He comes up in class and there can be more to come from him. (5) WONDERFUL SWEET is lightly raced for a six-year-old but he comes in with his recent form reading consistently well with three 2nd places and two 4th places since being promoted to this class. In this company he should be on pace, and there or thereabouts again. (3) SEOUL BULCHUNGGAK returns to action for the first time since winning at this class and distance in March. He didn’t offer too many clues in his trial, but he has undoubted ability. (9) GLOBAL SERVE and (3) TAPDINE among plenty of other contenders in a competitive race.

(4) WONDERFUL NORTHERN ran 4th in the KRA Cup Mile in April before being an also ran in the final two legs of the Triple Crown. Since returning to shallower waters, he has a win, and two runner-up finishes in three starts, most recently 2nd at this class and distance on September 20th. He has his fair share of weight today but is hot favourite to go one better. (9) MUSKET DAY has won his latest two, most recently at this class over a mile on September 14th to take him to a record of five wins from nine starts. He is already a winner over this distance too and shapes as the main danger. (6) DRAGON SQUARE And (2) REMEMBER AGAIN came home 2nd and 4th respectively when they raced one another at this class and distance on August 31st and both can be in the placing mix again. (5) STILL PLAY another to look out for.

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million
Competitive race and we’ll take a chance on (11) BEOLGYOUI STAR. His latest two haven’t been great but he was a class and distance winner before that, and he looked very well in a trial earlier this month. Maia rode him in the trial and is on for the first time in a race and while he has the challenge of the widest gate, he can bring him back to form at an each-way price. (3) FLYING DAY has seven top three finishes from eight starts and enters off a close 2nd at this class over 1400M on September 20th. She remains under a light weight and while she tackles 1800M for the first time, she has proven versatile, and it can suit. (1) BLUE NELLO was a class and distance winner on September 20th, coming from off the pace. He comes up 4kg in weight, but it’s balanced somewhat by a much better gate, Harry stays on, and he is a chance again. (4) SPLENDID is in the form of his career to date with three wins from his latest four. He is up in class here but is down in weight and having two wins and a place from three goes at this distance, he can measure up. (2) SEGWANG FIGHTER another in the hunt.

Seoul Race 11: Class 2 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million
After an impressive juvenile campaign (7) CAPTAIN P.K. didn’t quite have the Triple Crown campaign that might have been expected, finishing down the field in the Cup Mile and not taking part in the rest. Cutting back in trip he seems to have found his niche and has won his latest two at this distance, most recently a valuable trophy race in early September. Faily weighted and drawn, he can complete his hat-trick here. (5) USEUNG CONCORD missed out on a run in tomorrow’s Kookje Shinmun Cup over the same distance at Busan. He was a class and distance winner in June and while he comes out of disappointing effort in the Listed Ilgan Sports Trophy over 1800M, this should be much more suitable. (3) SHADOW HUNTER was 3rd behind Captain P.K. in that September Trophy race and as a five-time winner at this distance, can be in the mix. (11) BEST RACE and (6) GWANAKSAN O TWO others in the frame in a good finale.
