Race 5 – 9 SMART FAT CAT
A tardy start and a slow tempo blunted his winning chances last time out, yet he still finished strongly in the straight to place sixth. The form has since been franked, with fifth-place finisher THE HEIR recording a subsequent win.
His recent trial was highly encouraging, suggesting he is primed for a strong first-up performance.
Race 10 – 3 YUEN LONG ELITE
Drawn wide on his first-up run, he was urged early to stay on pace but couldn’t cross to secure a soft spot. Despite covering extra ground, he fought gamely down the straight to finish fifth over this track and distance.
Having found consistent form this year, he looks well placed to convert that into another victory with a more economical run.

RACE 3 – 9 MISSION STRIKE
He settled too far back and could only manage ninth on a rain-affected track last start, as the leader capitalised on the slow pace to make all. Still, he recorded the second-fastest final 400m, and with a more positive ride, he should be right in contention.
RACE 8 – 5 STAR RISE
He caught the eye with a fast-finishing second on his local debut three weeks ago. Had he not been held up between the 400m and 250m, he arguably would have taken the race. Stripping fitter second-up, he shapes as a strong contender in this open field.
