HOLLANDIA BAKKERIJ and IZANAMI both make their local debuts and try the Polytrack after changing trainers. MIO DESTINO is threatening to win a race and would not be a surprise winner. MISS TAKES, BUDDLEJA and SALAGADOOLA are also capable of getting involved with the finish.

TWO FOR THE BOYS is capable of improvement after a modest local debut. PROLIFIC STAR and STAND UP are both in good form and clearly in with a winning chance. GREY WARRIOR might like this shorter distance and can make the frame. AETHELWULF and NUCLEAR POWER both showed some improvement of late and could earn some more money.

FAMILY POWER was a game winner last time out and a 4kg claimer could get another win out of her. She clearly likes this surface. STATE SECRET is consistent and is capable of contesting the finish once again. UMZOLOZOLO is still improving and could earn some minor money. GINGER DELIGHT put in a pleasing effort last time and can do even better this time around. ONE GIANT LEAP finished off her race well last time out and could go one better. FLOWER FESTIVAL is consistent and could earn some more money.

She carries a 6-point penalty for her latest win but could win again. HAZE AND SMOKE showed what she is capable of with a good win last time out and that rival has won since. It is her first try on this surface. PRESERVE FOREVER likes the Polytrack and could earn some more money. THESUPERNOVASTAR is not reliable but is capable of winning on local debut. COLORAMA and DUTCHESS D’ORANGE are capable of earning some money as well.

Race Summary: MERCANTOUR has won the first two legs of the Nelson Mandela Bay Racing Polytrack Challenge and there is no real reason to think he cannot pull off this final leg. He did not win in any of his three tries on turf over this distance but jockey Richard Fourie does know how to get the best out of him. BINGWA has not been at his best this year but is weighted to win and should be a threat this course and distance. BRENDEN JAMES has impressed of late with some nice wins on this surface fitted with blinkers and is not out of it. MR FOX has ability and is another that can get involved with the finish.

Race Summary: RICHARDTHEFEARLESS has shown improvement of late. He is suited to this course and distance and should run well in a very open handicap. HEEMSTEDE showed improvement last time out and has a couple of wins over this surface so could be a threat. RED WILLIAM has won his last three starts and deserves respect for that. GEORGE HANDEL is clearly better than he showed last time out and could upset. GLOBAL STATE reminded us of what he is capable with a game last win. ROLL OF THE DICE is a dangerous front-runner when allowed a soft lead. ONE RELIGION is in good form and not out of it.

She returns from a break and tries the Polytrack for the first time but has been running in top races all year. CORAL CREEK likes this surface and could earn some more money. DONNY TEE has held form of late and could make some more money. HAIR TRIGGER won a good race last time out but tackles stronger this time. ABOVE THE HORIZON clearly likes the Polytrack and can contest the finish. FRENCH FLAME is threatening to win a race and is another to consider.

Race Summary: CHERRY OH BABY won on this surface last time out and could follow up now under the care of trainer Alan Greeff. KING VISERYS is bidding for a hat-trick after some solid wins. HOSPICES DE BEAUNE is unreliable but clearly not out of it. CAPTAIN CLEVER improved to win last time out and could be better than rated. MANEKI NEKO, KING’S SAILOR and CRUZADOR are not reliable but are capable of earning money when in the right mood. POTENT CAPTAIN and KING RAHUL are both capable of running well over this track and trip.
