GOLD GUNNER might try start-to-finish tactics in a race like this and could be a threat. SUN SPECTACULAR is not reliable but is also not out of it. ROCK OF FUTURA has scope for further improvement and would not be a surprise winner.

FINAL TRY reminded us what he is capable of with a good win last time out and is another to consider.

ROYAL AUSSIE seemed to find the 1800m a bit beyond him last time out and should be a threat to these rivals. ANUSCHKA’S WORLD and GIMME’S LADDIE are consistent and can earn some more money. STRATHCLYDE does seem better than his local debut.

The same can also be said of SLAINTE MHATH. ALADO’S PRIDE was an easy winner at this track recently and could earn some money. So too could THREE CHEERS who was caught very late last week.

She has excellent form before that and is the best of the Andre Nel runners judged on jockey bookings. TOMYRIS is seldom far back and narrowly beaten last time out. She should make a bold bid.
