Race 3 No 7 CAMPIONESSA

His last two runs carried hidden merit — caught wide throughout when finishing fourth in the 3YO Sprint Championship, then racing on the speed before sticking on fairly for sixth in another 3YO feature, though the 1600m seemed beyond his best. Freshened up by a two-month break, he looks well suited dropping back to 1150m and should sprint well.

Race 6 No 10 LUMARIE SHADOW

After a credible fourth on debut over 1400m in early July, he backed it up with another fourth over 1600m at this track 29 days ago. On both occasions he showed good early speed despite racing greenly.

Ideally weighted under this week’s Weight-For-Age conditions, he looks well placed with just 50kg on his back and should be highly competitive.

Race 9 No 7 CINNAMON BLAZE

He has adopted a more conservative racing style recently, settling off the pace to finish second two starts ago before producing a solid fourth in this class last time out. Those efforts highlight his versatility, especially considering he was once regarded purely as a front-runner.

With the step up in distance expected to play to his strengths this week, he looks a strong contender.

Race 11 No 2 SAINT TROPEZ

He didn’t jump well last time, which saw him settle near the rear in a small field of nine. Despite the slow tempo, he finished off strongly to grab fourth — an effort that went against the race shape.

Back to Class 4 and facing slightly weaker opposition, he looks well placed to produce an improved effort.
