Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1700M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
(4) BLUE SUN has shown steady progress across four starts to date, culminating in 2nd place when tried at this distance for the first time on June 28th. He will be a short price to go one better over this field. (6) THUNDER LUCKY has run 3rd in both his latest two starts, coing from off the pace. He is yet to finish in the top two but has seven finishies between 3rd and 5th and should be in the mix again. (2) SAVANA CHARLIE similarly hasn’t troubled the quinella in twenty-four appearances but has no fewer than fourteen 3rd to 5th finishes. He does have a 3rd to his name at this distance and can be competitive here. (7) BLACK SMILE and (3) ALPHA FEMALE others to consider.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1000M) Special Weight A / KRW 45 Million
Juvenile maidens with all but one racing for the first time. (9) EVERY TIME ran a close 2nd in his trial, showing on pace throughout and stopping the clock in a quick time. If he brings that form to the races, he can win. (10) DANAEUN RUBY is the first runner to make the track by 2018 Champion Juvenile King Socks. She too looked good in her trial showing on pace and running 2nd. Her sire was a nine-length winner on debut and Danaeun Ruby can get him off to a good start here. (5) BEST PITCH went through two trials and in the second of them clocked the fastest time of all of these. He came from off the pace both times and should be a big danger late on. He may start as the betting favourite. (3) SEVEN KAISER led his heat and can do the same again while we shall assume the sole one with experience, (8) CLUTCH MAN, can improve.

Seoul Race 3: Class 4 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million
Maiden for imported northern hemisphere two-year-olds and southern hemisphere three-year-olds with six of the twelve racing for the first time. (3) SMILE DAY was ordinary on debut but ran a much-improved 2nd at start two at 1000M on July 13th, leading for most of the way and beating three of today’s rivals. He draws well to lead again, and this time can go all the way. (4) EAST BEACH went through two July trials winning them second of them when leading all the way. If he brings that form to the races, he can be a chance. (11) CRAZY STAR debuted behind Smile Day on Jul 13th and while he was well back he has since gone through two trials in fine order and can be a different proposition this time around. (8) NARO MA STAR and newcomer (5) MY MUNNINGS others to look out for.

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 30 Million
Fillies only in this maiden. (1) SMILE NAMSAN ran 2nd on debut in a very similar race to this on August 3rd, racing handy for most of it. She should have come on for that run and she will be the one to beat here. (10) JISAN FRIEND seems to be figuring things out with a 2nd and a 3rd from her latest two, both in similar races to this. Today’s company is no more taxing and she should be there or thereabouts again. (3) WONDERFUL TUNE UP ran 4th behind Smile Namsan on August 3rd coming from off the pace. She comes into a better gate today and can continue to make progress. (9) RAON FINAL has won a trial since her underwhelming debut and can be given another chance. (2) MUNHAK DAESE another who can improve.

(10) GHOST CHRYSOL is yet to win in seven attempts, but he has three runner-up finishes including his latest on July 13th at this class and distance when only narrowly beaten having led close to home and ahead of a couple of today’s rivals. CC stays on and he can go one better. (11) FASHION STAR was a class and distance winner on July 27th, coming from well off the pace. He comes up 3kg in weight, but the wide draw should be no problem and a repeat isn’t impossible. (6) WONDERFUL TECHNO is three starts into a comeback following almost a year out. He stepped up to two turns for the first time on August 3rd, running 2nd over 1700M, and he can be in the mix today. (5) MAGIC WITH YOU and (1) GRATITUDE other place chances.

(3) BURUI SEGYE took eight goes to get his maiden win but he evidently enjoyed it as he promptly followed up with another at this class and distance on July 5th. He comes up 3kg in weight but that’s balanced a little by a very nice draw, and he can complete his hat-trick here. (7) SEOUL NONGBU got his maiden win at start number three over 1300M on June 28th, racing handy throughout. He comes up in class and in distance here, but he’s down in weight and he can measure up. (10) BEOLGYO DESTINO returned from six months out to run 4th at this class over 1200M on July 26th. He should strip fitter for that run and can be in the finish today. (5) TIGER K and (11) POSEIDON BLUE others in the frame.

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
(1) KEIDRAGON was an all the way winner on debut at this class and distance on July 19th, scoring by as many as he pleased with a few of today’s rivals back down the track. Je comes up a full 4kg in weight, but he draws well, and the manner of that win suggests that there is more to come. Also impressive on debut was (6) SYDNEY YEONGUNG. He won on July 13th over 1000M sitting just behind the speed and running through the line well. Up in distance but down in weight, he has plenty of potential. (4) TIARA SUA ran 2nd to Keidragon in that July 19th race having been a class and distance winner in May. She has 5-lengths to find on Keidragon but should have the beating of many of the rest. (5) GEOSEN BIGMAN and (7) SAVANNAH GUN others to consider.

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million
(4) RISING MO was 2nd in the Luna Stakes at a mile in Busan in March before being only ordinary in the final two legs of the Triple Tiara. She returned to regular races with a 3rd place at this class and distance on August 3rd, coming from well off the pace, and she can return to winning ways today. She will need to overturn the form on (6) LAFAYETTE, who won that August 3rd race, settling midfield and running on. He carries his fair share of weight this time but his form is good, and a repeat would be no real surprise. (7) GLOBAL SERVE was a winner at this class on July 27th, making all over 1300M. He tackles the mile for the first time and there is no reason why it can’t suit. (5) AUSTIN LEADER and (10) STING JET others who can be had on a place line.

(7) HAKSAN DARK HORSE has seven top-three finishes from ten starts. He has run 2nd on each of his latest three and while that brings him up in class, he comes down a whopping 6kg in weight, and he can go one better today. (2) DREAM HONOUR came from well off the pace to run a strong 2nd in a quick race on July 20th. He does mix his form, and he comes up to a mile for the first time, but he looks a strong contender here. (5) TOHO SKY ran 2nd at big odds at this class and distance that same day, beating a couple of today’s rivals. He remains under a light weight and CC being booked creates some interest in a repeat. (10) VISION POWER and (1) PALATINO others in the frame.

Seoul Race 10: Class 2 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million
(7) TAEPYEONG HERO was 4th over 2000M on his first try at this class on July 12th, showing on pace and leading close to home. He comes up in weight, but he comes back to a distance at which he won over two starts back at class 3 level in June. Maia knows him well and they can win here. That will require overturning the form on (11) MAGLE DAY, who threaded a way through late to win that July 12th race. He gets hammered by the handicappers and accordingly has 6kg more to deal with here, but he has won over this distance and shouldn’t be dismissed. (1) MANDAERO rarely runs a bad race and is at least a solid place chance. (3) GIANT PUNCH and (5) BULUI NALGAE others in line for the minors.
