Sevenna’s Knight (IRE) Four good runs this year. Finished third over 2500m on this course in a Group 3 on 9 August. Alexis Pouchin knows him well and he may be rewarded for consistency. Double Major (IRE) Dual G.1 winner who finished third in a Group 3 over 2800m at Parislongchamp on 13 July. Title holder and should be involved. Presage Nocturne (IRE) Comes off a good third-place finish in the Group 1 Prix Vicomtesse Vigier over 3100m at Parislongchamp on 25 May. Merits healthy respect. Columbus (GER) Finished behind Double Major when fourth in a Group 3 over 2800m at Parislongchamp on 13 July. He may have to settle for the same result.

RACE 2: SUMBE PRIX DU CALVADOS STAKES (GROUP 2) (TURF TRACK) (FROM DEAUVILLE RACE 2) – 1400M – TIME: 20:33 PRIZE MONEY: EUR119000

Fitzella Won a good race in a Group 3 over 1200m at Ascot on 26 July. Oisin Murphy makes the trip to ride her, and she can follow up with another victory. My Highness (IRE) Followed up her maiden victory with a game win over 1500m on this course in Class 2 Conditional on 5 August. She is a progressive type and can bring up the hat-trick. Arkansas (FR) Won on debut over 1400m at Chantilly in Unraced Conditional on 20 July. She takes a big step up in class but could be anything. Christophe Soumillon is booked to ride. Nandita (IRE) Finished seventh in last two starts, the latest of which was over 1400m at Sandown in a Listed race on 24 July. She should not be taken lightly.

RACE 3: SUMBE GRAND HANDICAP (FIBRESAND TRACK) (FROM DEAUVILLE RACE 3) – 1900M – TIME: 21:15 PRIZE MONEY: EUR72000

My Fancy (FR) Won a good race over 1900m on this track in Class 3 Claimer on 12 August. He returns to handicaps at the right time and can continue with his winning momentum. Savannenstern (GER) Is a horse with plenty of scope. Finished fifth in a Class 3 Conditional over 2200m at Clairefontaine on 8 August. Cristian Demuro retains the ride, and he should fight out the finish. Colgan Senora (FR) Finished fourth over 1900m on this track in Class 2 Handicap on 5 August. With a bit of luck in running, he should be competitive. Stangheli (FR) Showed good signs of a form return when third over 1900m on this track in Class 2 Handicap on 5 August. He can feature if confirming that effort.

RACE 4: SUMBE PRIX MORNY STAKES (GROUP 1) (TURF TRACK) (FROM DEAUVILLE RACE 4) – 1200M – TIME: 21:50 PRIZE MONEY: EUR350000

Gstaad Is unbeaten from two starts and hails from the top yard of Aidan O’Brien. He was super-impressive when winning the Group 2 Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot over 1200m on 17 June. He should keep his record intact. Venetian Sun (IRE) Is unbeaten from three starts and takes on the males. She won a Group 2 over 1200m at Newmarket on 11 July. She looks to have class about her and with her sex allowance, she cannot be discounted. Wise Approach (IRE) Returned to winning ways in a Listed race over 1200m at Newbury on 18 July. He finished second in a Group 2 over 1000m at Royal Ascot in his penultimate run. William Buick knows him well and the combina- tion merit respect. Coppull Comes off a good victory in the Group 2 Markel Richmond Stakes over 1200m at Glorious Goodwood on 31 July. He finished third behind Gstaad in his penultimate run.

RACE 5: DARIYA STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM MONT DE MARSAN RACE 1) – 2000M – TIME: 22:07 PRIZE MONEY: EUR20000

Balhambar (FR) Showed promise when he was 8th on his debut at Mont De Marsan on 16 July over 1600m. The step up in trip should be more suitable. Chagall Al Maury (FR) Ran well to be 5th on 1 August in a Conditions race at Mont De Marsan over 2150m on the only start. Progress expected and a bold show likely. Assa’af (FR) Showed talent when he was 5th at Dax over 2100m on his only start on 31 July. One to keep onside. Khatta’ab (FR) Unplaced last time, 2nd previously over 1525m at Montauban in a conditions race on 15 June. Warrants respect and can make the top three.

RACE 6: SUMBE PRIX DE LA CROIX D’HEULAND HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) (FROM DEAUVILLE RACE 5) – 1500M – TIME: 22:25 PRIZE MONEY: EUR25900

Like Lindy (USA) Disappointing when seventh over 1400m on this course in Maiden on 9 August. She showed promise in her first two career outings and should be right there at the finish. Sydney Sunset (FR) Finished third over 1600m at Clairefontaine in Maiden on 2 August. He is a progressive type and is one of the leading contenders. Victor Vitae (FR) Disappointed when eighth over 1400m at Le Lion D’Angers in Maiden on 10 August. Can feature on best form shown. Gariga (FR) Won over 1600m at Saint-Malo in Maiden on 24 July. She is a progressive type and should be involved at the finish.

RACE 7: DJEZIKA STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM MONT DE MARSAN RACE 2) – 2000M – TIME: 22:42 PRIZE MONEY: EUR20000

El Bnoud (FR) Good debut 2nd over 2150m at Mont-de-Marsan on 1 August. She will be wiser for her pleasing run on debut and can get off the mark. Alyamamah (FR) Fair effort when 7th on her debut at Mont De Marsan over 2150m on 1 August. One to pay attention too. Turquoise (FR) Placed on two of her three starts, 4th on the latter over 2150m at Mont De Marsan on 1 August. Capable of a leading role. Balsaam (FR) 7th on her last start over 2100m at Dax in a conditions race on 31 July. Merits consideration.

RACE 8: SUMBE PRIX JEAN ROMANET STAKES (GROUP 1) (TURF TRACK) (FROM DEAUVILLE RACE 6) – 2000M – TIME: 23:00 PRIZE MONEY: EUR400000

Cinderella’s Dream Won a game race in the Group 1 Tattersalls Falmouth Stakes over 1600m at Newmarket on 11 July. She got the better of January who has subsequently finished second in the Prix Rothschild. She is the horse to beat. Bedtime Story (IRE) Is better than her last start when fourth in the Group 1 Qatar Nassau Stakes over 2000m at Glorious Goodwood on 31 July. Her penultimate run when second in the Group 1 Prix De Diane catches the eye. She is a threat. Cankoura (FR) Comes off a victory in a Group 3 over 2000m on this course on 3 August. She finished behind Bedtime Story when third in the Group 1 Prix De Diane in her penultimate outing. Quisisana (FR) Is unbeaten from two starts this year, the latest of which was in a Listed race over 2000m at Chantilly on 20 July. She is blossoming at the moment and would not be a shock winner.
