Tenpenny could take another step forward

Tenpenny

There’s always been a buzz around Tenpenny, and his recent win suggests he’s starting to deliver. Stepping up in class, he tackles Race 5 over 1600m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Tuesday and could prove hard to beat. Trainer Paddy Kruyer’s yard is in fine form, with Tenpenny and The Us Of A both running well.

Tenpenny impressed last time, bursting clear by two lengths over this course and distance to beat the useful Katsu. While not yet proven at top level, he looks capable of climbing higher. JP van der Merwe keeps the ride for owner Greg Bortz.

Main dangers include Kamchatka, well weighted and consistent, plus Song To The Moon, who always runs his race. We Have Touchdown has ability but may prefer further.

Elsewhere, Magical Place and Objet D’Art look set to fight out Race 1, while Roland Garros is the standout in Race 2. Gold Giboski is one of the better bets in Race 3, Yamazaki edges Race 4, and The Night Ferry could bounce back in Race 6. Promising Spirit looks ready to shine in Race 7, while Tambourine Man appeals in a wide-open Race 8.
