Misunderstood Is much better than latest when unplaced in a Group 1 over 1600m at Longchamp on 11 May. His previous form was good and with Oisin Murphy up, he may be the horse to beat. Cacofonix (IRE) Caught the eye when fifth in the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat over 1400m on this course on 6 July. He is loaded with ability and is one of the leading contenders. Daylight (FR) Finished behind Cacofonix when sixth in the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat over 1400m on this course on 6 July. She may have to settle for the same result. Dos Mukasan (FR) Is better than recent form. Was unplaced in a Group 3 over 1600m at Chantilly on 20 July. He can cause the upset on earlier form.

RACE 2: PRIX DU CERCLE – DON JUAN CUNEO SOLARI LISTED STAKES (TURF TRACK) – 1000M – TIME: 20:31 PRIZE MONEY: EUR47600

Estepona (FR) Is much better than his last start in a Group 1 at Royal Ascot over 1000m on 17 June. Christophe Soumillon rides and on previous form, he may be the one to side with. Clarendon House He has refused to leave the starting stalls in his last two runs, the latest of which was in the Group 2 King George Qatar Stakes over 1000m at Goodwood. Tom Marquand is booked to ride and if jumping on terms, he has the ability to go close. Redorange Comes off a good third-place finish in a Handicap over 1000m at Goodwood on 29 July. The son of Mehmas is an honest type and merits healthy respect. Vicious Harry (FR) Finished second over 1100m at Dieppe in a Class 2 on 31 July. Maxime Guyon retains the ride, and he should have a say in the outcome of this contest.

RACE 3: GRAND HANDICAP DE DEAUVILLE (TURF TRACK) – 1600M – TIME: 21:15 PRIZE MONEY: EUR96000

Caramelito (FR) Comes off a fifth-place finish in a Group 3 over 1600m at Chantilly on 20 July. He finished second in a Class 1 Conditional in his penultimate run. The son of Zarak may be the horse to side with. Babakool Ran a fair race when fourth in a Conditional Listed race over 1600m at Vichy on 18 July. He finished behind Caramelito in his penultimate outing and is one of the leading contenders. Contentious Soul (FR) Won a good race over 1600m on this course in Class 2 Handicap on 6 July. He should handle the rise to Class 1 and merits healthy respect. Mr Fleurant (IRE) Finished sixth over 1400m on this course in Class 2 Handicap on 3 August. Alexis Pouchin knows him well and he cannot be discounted.

RACE 4: ARC PRIX MAURICE DE GHEEST – FONDS EUROPEEN DE L’ELEVAGE (GROUP 1) (TURF TRACK) – 1300M – TIME: 22:05 PRIZE MONEY: EUR380000

Lazzat (FR) Won this race last year and scored in a good race in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes over 1200m at Royal Ascot on 21 June. Wathnan Racing Jockey James Doyle retains the ride, and he should be hard to beat. Woodshauna (FR) Comes off a good victory in the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat over 1400m on this course on 6 July. Christophe Soumillon retains the ride, and he is one of the leading contenders. Shadow Of Light Finished behind Woodshauna when fourth in the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat over 1400m on this course on 6 July. He may have to settle for the same result but cannot be discounted. Inisherin Finished behind Lazzat when seventh in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes over 1200m at Royal Ascot on 21 June. He may battle to turn the form around but can place if back to himself.

RACE 5: DE CLARBEC HANDICAP (TURF TRACK) – 1100M – TIME: 22:40 PRIZE MONEY: EUR17300

Albertinelli (FR) Ran a good race when second over 1100m at Saint-Malo in Class 4 Handicap on 24 July. If repeating that effort in this field, he may be the one to beat. Lagoa Santa (FR) Finished behind Albertinelli when fifth over 1100m at Saint-Malo in Class 4 Handicap on 24 July. May have to settle for the same result but the booking of Maxime Guyon is a big plus. Abrasso (FR) Last three starts have been good. Finished second over 1300m at Le Touquet in Class 4 Handicap on 27 July. He carries a nice weight and should be involved at the finish. Kaleocreek (FR) Finished third over 1400m at Vichy in Class 4 Claiming Handicap on 30 July. Theo Bachelot may be able to get the best out of him.
