Fourie to fly the US flag

The US of A “顶级高手”

The Us Of A is in top form and returns to race 6 over 1000m at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Tuesday. Known for his strong finish, he proved effective on a soft track last time out and looks well-placed to notch another win under regular rider Richard Fourie. Though lightly raced due to setbacks, the five-year-old is thriving this winter, with two solid wins and a fourth in his last three runs over this course and distance.

Peace Of Mind, with a light 51.5kg and Brevan Plaatjies up, poses a threat. She’s been consistent and may benefit from a fast-run race. With a 7kg weight advantage, she could trouble The Us Of A. Tanneron has potential but looks held by Peace Of Mind on their previous meeting.

Mount Augustus looks the one to beat in race 1 over 1200m after a good second to Spirit last time. Iko Iko is a consistent maiden but still searching for a breakthrough.

Race 2 should go to Baton Rouge, who’s in solid form under Fourie despite top weight. In race 3, Mighty Mary steps up to 1600m and should go close after a promising second start.

Gold Giboski (race 4) has faced tough opponents and now goes over 1600m, which should suit. He looks Gavin Lerena’s best chance of the day.

Twice The Master, although quirky, is a contender in the open race 5 over 2200m. In race 7, Lovers Lane is overdue a win.

Race 8 could go to Winter Pearl, who carries just 51kg, while in the finale, Rhydian returns with strong credentials despite breathing issues. Counter Attack and the unpredictable Firingonallengines round out the key runners.
