Race 5 No 10 FLYING DOUBLE
He was urged forward early from a wide draw last start, but with two rivals drawn inside also pressing for the lead, he had to be hard ridden to eventually settle just behind the leader near the turn. The early exertion took its toll, and he weakened in the straight to finish eighth. With a more measured ride this time, he could surprise in what looks to be a below-par Class 4 field.
Race 6 No 6 MISTER DAPPER
The stewards’ report reads like a novel for his last-start performance. In their opinion, the jockey erred in judgment from the 600 metres by continuing to urge the horse forward, despite the effort already expended during the early and middle stages to secure a position outside the lead. With a better-judged ride, he could atone this time.

Race 3 No 9 HONEST WITNESS
An awkward jump put him on the back foot last start, but he ran on well in the straight to finish fourth over this track and distance, beaten only 3.5 lengths. Prior to that, he showed good early speed on debut, and with a clean getaway, he could secure a spot in the Top 3 this time.
Race 11 No 5 SILVERY BREEZE
After a solid first-up effort four weeks ago, where he settled off the pace and closed off strongly with the third-fastest final 400m (23.09 seconds) to finish fourth over this track and distance, he now strips fitter and looks well placed to make amends second-up.
