Race Preview
RACE 1: DE TRANGE MAIDEN STAKES (TURF TRACK) (FROM LE MANS RACE 1) – 1600M – TIME: 18:00 PRIZE MONEY: EUR23000
Summary: SISSI DU GROHO (5) justified market interest to finish a promising 2nd on debut and,
with that experience to count on, she needn’t improve a great deal to go one better and open her
account. PETITFLEURDECHAMPS (4) ran better than her finishing position (5th) at Angers last
time and she showed enough on debut to challenge the selection. RIGOLETTOS (2) fits a similar
profile and will make his presence felt if building on the encouragement of his debut 3rd. Stablemate
LEONA REGINA (7) is a newcomer of particular interest and shouldn’t be underestimated.
SELECTIONS

(6) poses more of a threat at this level and ought to be competitive here than she was in a Listed
race last time. ETERNEL’S BEAUTE (7), back from a lengthy layoff, has undeniable ability so
shouldn’t be underestimated on her reappearance. NEVER GIVE IN (3) completes the shortlist.

most appeal. KER WELEN (5), who was 3rd in the benchmark event a fortnight ago, seems best
equipped to challenge for race honours. Last-start winners DRIMYS (3) and LUNATICOS (4) are

before and could bounce back to be a threat. KEEP AWAY (13) is in good form and is distance
suited so will not go down without a challenge for top honours. ROSETTA STONE (4) was in good
form before a disappointing last run and does deserve some respect.
