
Leck’s journey in the racing industry began in 2009 when he started working as a syce under the guidance of trainer Charles Leck, who is also his uncle. He continued in this role for six years under the mentorship of trainer David Kok.
In 2016, he transitioned to trainer Charles Leck’s stable at the Selangor Turf Club. After eight months, he was recognized and promoted to the position of Track Rider by the Malayan Racing Association (MRA). Subsequently, in 2017, he was granted his Stable Supervisor Licence.
In April 2019, Kai Jin returned to his previous employer, David Kok, at the Singapore Turf Club. It was during his tenure at this stable that, in January 2021, he attained his B-Grade Trainer licence.
To date, Kai Jin boasts a total of 15 years of experience in the racing industry, including three years serving as an Assistant Trainer.
