handicap at this track on November 29th. Live chance
3. CICCIO BOY – Won three starts ago over 1900m at this venue in a Class 2 handicap in midOctober. Credible runs in good races since that win and warrants respect

mid-October. Place contender
5. VENTS CONTRAIRES – 5th three runs ago over 1400m in late October. Has won at this track
over 1900m in November 2022. One to consider

likely

October. Others rate higher
10. LOFSONGUR ISLANDE – 4th three runs back in a handicap at Chantilly in late October. Can
be effective from stall 9

handicap. More needed to be involved

Class 2 handicap over 1900m on November 29th. In the mix
15. YOUNG MAN – Won three runs ago over 1500m at this track in late October in a Class 3 race.
Outside place chance                                                                                                                  16. KHOCHENKO – Fair 4th last time over 1900m at this track in a Class 3 handicap in late
November. Can blow hot and cold

Summary: TRUE TEDESCO (11) could be the answer to this open handicap. He ran well when
he was third three runs ago over 1600m and could score at nice odds. CELESTIN (2) is very honest
and has been in top form of late with two wins and a solid effort when third last time at this track in
late November. He can make the selection work hard for success. CICCIO BOY (3) and LETTY’S
MARVEL (14) should also have a say in proceedings at the business end.

SELECTIONS
TRUE TEDESCO (11) – CELESTIN (2) – CICCIO BOY (3) – LETTY’S MARVEL (14)

R2 – PRIX HELEN STREET – 1300m (a6 1/2f) – ALL WEATHER – Condition Race – Flat – EUR € 34.000

needed in a competitive race
3. BEST OF LIGHT – On the upgrade and won nicely in a handicap at Chantilly in late November
when last seen over 1400m. Live chance
4. LOUISE PROCTER – Was given plenty to do when she got up close to the finish to score on her
debut over 1200m in May. She looks useful and can score despite an absence
5. XAARINE – 4th two runs ago at Wolverhampton (GBR) in mid-November. Needs to improve on
the last run at Deauville but warrants respect

Summary: LOUISE PROCTER (4) looked like a smart filly when she got up close home to win on
her debut over 1200m at Saint-Cloud in May. She will be fit and ready for this outing and should
score. BEST OF LIGHT (3) is improving with experience and looks like the main threat to the
Rouget-trained filly. LA BELLE POETE (1) did well when she was third in a Class 2 race last time
and she looks best of the others.

SELECTIONS
LOUISE PROCTER (4) – BEST OF LIGHT (3) – LA BELLE POETE (1) – XAARINE (5)

4. SHAMSABAD – 3rd in a claimer last time over 2000m in early November. Among the leading
chances
5. HASTY SAILOR – 4th last time in mid-September at Landivisiau over 2150m in a Class 4 race.

bold show can be expected
7. ALPHA KING – 2nd two runs ago when racing at Mons-Ghlin (BEL) over 2100m in late
November. Hard to fancy
8. BEL ARISTO – Has been racing in Spain of late, with some placed efforts at San Sebastian over
2200m in July. Can make the frame
9. KINGORI – Unplaced last time at Chantilly over 1900m in a claiming race 14 days ago. Hard to
recommend
10. PURPLE ICE – 6th last time when racing at Newcastle (GBR) over 2050m in August. French
debut and is best watched
11. BELLE FISHER – Three unplaced runs so far, the latter over 2600m in a Class 4 race in May.
Looks like she has limited ability

Summary: With the drop in class, this could go to ULTRASOUND (6) who ran well when sixth at
this track in mid-November when last seen. He should be too smart for these. QATAR RIVER (3)
looks like the main threat. He was third in a Class 1 race at Toulouse in late October and won a
claimer in May when he last competed at that level of race. SHAMSABAD (4) and VADIRUM (2)
are both capable of getting involved in this type of race.

handicap. Ought to be in the shake-up
13. ANTINEA – 2nd in a claiming race last time over 2150m at Lyon La Soie 19 days ago. Needs
a few to falter
14. KOULIKOFF – Won three runs ago over 1800m at Chantilly in mid-July. Needs to bounce back
to form
15. NOT SO SILLY – Has shown very little form of late over different trips and is not one to be
enthusiastic about
16. ZHIVAGO – Has several unplaced runs of late over various trips. Seems out of form and is one
to watch

Summary: PORTRERO (11) is the tentative selection in a wide-open handicap. He has been
consistently placed of late and is overdue for another win. JUST A PERFECT DAY (7) will be high
in confidence after success at this track in late November in a Class 4 handicap. He can be on the
premises once again. KENNY (12) is one for the each-way backers to look at closely.
FLAMBOYANTE (5) looks best of the remainder.
