Jockey KABELO MATSUNYANE scored the biggest win of his career as WINCHESTER MANSION got the better of hometown favourite SEE IT AGAIN to claim the Gr1 Hollywoodbets Durban July at Greyville racecourse in South Africa.
More than 30,000 race fans were treated to a thrilling spectacle as two horses and jockeys staged a great battle down the Greyville straight with WINCHESTER MANSION fighting back after being headed by SEE IT AGAIN to win in a thrilling finish.
It was group one firsts for jockey MATSUNYANE and trainer BRETT CRAWFORD, while for owner and breeder Gaynor Rupert of Drakenstein stud, it completed a fairy tale victory with a horse named after an iconic old hotel in Sea Point in Cape Town.
