South Africa Racing – Four runners to strike gold at Fairview

It is back to the Polytrack at Fairview on Monday and we have four bets lined up and ready to take-off.

And we can start early too, which is a real treat.

Winning Grace showed inexperience in her first two starts but the switch to Jockey Muzi Yeni indicated that an improved performance would be on the cards. That was the case as she chased home a well-backed winner in Errols Legacy and was not beaten far.

Back on the Polytrack from a tricky No 7draw will not make it easy for her but the way she finished off that race suggested 1200m on the Polytrack should not be a problem and it could be strike one for the punters.

Wildest Dreams is another in a long line of fillies that have joined Alan Greeff in the Eastern Cape and where he has done a sterling job.

As hard as it is to believe she may have more in the tank as her recent wins were her best yet.

A six-point penalty will make it hard for Wildest Dreams but in jockey Richard Fourie the mare will not go down without a fight.

Fourie was aboard her for the last two wins.

Jockey Muzi Yeni is the noted jockey booking in Race 3 and he will be aboard Gold For Africa for the first time. This Gold Standard filly is improving and looks ready to score.

The further she has gone the better she has looked and the extra 100m of this race could get her there in time.

Wide draws on the Polytrack do not give jockeys easy choices to decide their tactics but jockey S’manga Khumalo is usually very dangerous with them.

Green Falcon in Race 5 could provide himself and trainer Gavin Smith with another much-needed winner.

Green Falcon is improving and can quicken so watch for a strong late run.
