Poly track racing returns this Monday at Hollywoodbets Greyville with eight races carded not to mention the full fields which look highly competitive and healthy dividends/returns are sure to be on offer if structuring your bets correctly.
There may be a long wait for one of the better bets on the card White Cedar in race eight for trainer Gary Rich with Rachel Venniker aboard. She takes the 1.5kg of his back which is a huge plus. Her soft hands will suit his front running style from the best draw on the field and he could take all the beating here.
Likely dangers could be Winter Waves from the Alyson Wright yard with Keagan De Melo aboard. He will be running on from a wide draw and has been running very consistently. Crested Eagle is another who has ability and is very capable of getting involved here. The Doug Campbell trained son of Crusade has a strong rider aboard so must be factored into the equation.
Natyam in race one from the Gareth Van Zyl yard has run well on both his starts and will make further improvement. He does return after a break however this yard is in great form and they will have him tuned up. If he doesn’t need the run, he will be a massive contender as its clear to see he does have ability.
Madison Blues from the Paul Lafferty yard ran a cracker in his last start and Keagan De Melo stays aboard. His Cape form has been very consistent and he was beaten narrowly by Captain Corrupt here in KZN.
Peter Muscutt saddles Shoefella with S’Manga Khumalo aboard, he has a tough draw to contend with but has solid form. There’s no doubt he will contest the finish but he needs a bit of luck.
Corner Crusade in race four has been knocking on the door and trainer Gary Rich looks set for a good day in the office. Cole Dicken is back aboard which is in his favour not to mention a reasonably good draw.
French Princess for trainer Duncan Howells wasn’t beaten far in her last start should get much closer now. Palm Breeze and Fort J’Adore are others to consider in this full field of 12 runners.
Siphesihle Hlengwa will claim 1.5kgs off Action Stations for trainer Paul Lafferty in race five.
It was a very gutsy win in his last start when he did some work in the running however fought on all the way to the line. He is very capable of winning here again.
Blazing Light has been very consistent lately with two wins and a second coming in his last three runs. Rachel Venniker will suit him well and he will be in the firing line.
Lou Lou The Legend was narrowly beaten in his last start and now gets Keagan De Melo back aboard for trainer Dean Kannemeyer. The yard do rate him however he does have a slightly tricky draw but shouldn’t be ignored. If he gets a good position he will be flying late.
Word For Word has never been far back in recent starts and has the inform jockey booking of Tristan Godden for trainer Tony Rivalland. He has a decent draw and has as much chance as any of winning this.
Overall, it’s a very competitive card and the Place Accumulator could be the bet to take on the day.
