Race 1 – PRIX DE FUVEAU –  1500m MDN. Purse EUR €23,000.

  1. SO GOLD – Last appeared when he finished fourth over 1300m here on the All Weather on January 19. Place hope.
  2. KIZMAMBO – Solid effort last start when resuming, beaten a long neck into second over 1600m here on the All Weather. In the mix.
  3. ROYALTIES – Heading in the right direction. Last start finished 2 lengths away in second over 1500m at this track. Top-three chance.
  4. DUC DE KENT – Last appeared 11 weeks ago when he finished 0.8 lengths from the winner in second over 1900m at Chantilly All Weather. Worth noting he filled a minor placing first-up last prep at Deauville. Expected to prove hard to beat.
  5. ROI MERCURE – Promising gelding with placings at both career runs to date. Last start was 2 lengths from the winner in second over 1600m at Pau All Weather. Progressing well and is a leading contender.
  6. CELEB – Unraced colt by No Nay Never out of Like A Star. Looking to others.

Summary: ROI MERCURE (5) placed second beaten 2L tackling 1600m at Pau AW. Taken to score on turf debut. DUC DE KENT (4) holds strong claims following a 0.75L second in a 1900m maiden at Chantilly AW. KIZMAMBO (2) suffered a neck defeat when runner-up having raced from the front attempting 1600m on the AW here. Shortlisted. ROYALTIES (3) ran 2L second over this course and distance. Consider for the win.

Race 2 – PRIX WILLIAM ALEXANDRE RUINAT –  2500m CL2. Purse EUR €26,000.

  1. JACKSUN – Returned from a layoff last start and was beaten 7 lengths into ninth over 2500m at this track. Rates highly and should improve.
  2. LAOS – Scored a determined win last time over 2150m at this track. Got the job done last time and is a leading hope again.
  3. DUKE OF CONKER – Back from a break of 12 weeks. Closed the last campaign in lukewarm fashion, with a 12th over 2000m at Saint-Cloud the latest offering. Others make more appeal.
  4. MIKA D’O – Nice return last start when runner-up at this track over 2500m on January 19. Hard to beat.
  5. BELGIAN PRINCE – Last appeared three-and-a-half months ago when he finished 56 lengths from the winner in 15th over 2800m at Longchamp. Did place first-up last prep at this track. Others have firmer winning claims.
  6. FORCE DE L’AUBE – Handy filly who is racing well, including a solid third last start over 2500m at this track. Has ability and is a definite top-three hope.

Summary: MIKA D’O (4) came home 2.5L second in a 2500m conditions race at this venue. Selected to deliver a fifth career win and rates a top chance. LAOS (2) won two of his past three starts including by a nose in a 2150m handicap. Expected to challenge. FORCE DE L’AUBE (6) enters calculations on the back of a 6.5L third in a 2500m conditions contest at this circuit. JACKSUN (1) holds claims despite a below par 7.75L last of nine over 2500m here first up.

Race 3 – PRIX DE L’ESTRAGON –  1300m CLM CL3 HCP. Purse EUR €15,000.

  1. HAPPY DREAM – Won at a big price by half a length two starts back over 1300m at this track. Subsequently finished third over 1300m at this track a week-and-a-half ago. Major player.
  2. RED TORCH – Just missed out on the placings at same course and distance last time when a 2.25 lengths fourth over 1300m. Has the ability and looks one of the chances.
  3. AMAZON PRINCE – Has two wins and six placings from 18 career starts. Finished third at at this track last time. Rates well and expected to go close.
  4. NOELLE – Second up from a spell. Returned with a good win last start over 1300m at this track, scoring by 1.5 lengths. Likely to come on from that run. Top chance.
  5. KANDERAS – Resumed with a respectable seventh over 1300m at this track, beaten just 2.75 lengths. Is a definite threat in this line-up.
  6. PINK VALENTINE – Comes here after finishing sixth last time at this track and trip, beaten 6 lengths. Top-three candidate.
  7. MAKSEN SENORA – Hasn’t inspired much confidence of late. Comes into this after finishing 12 lengths from the winner over 1500m here on turf last start. Making up the numbers.
  8. KINGSHOLM – Now 841 days without a win, the latest effort a tenth over 1300m at this track, beaten 6 lengths. Happy to overlook.
  9. STAR OF CECCA – Hasn’t made an impact in 6 runs to date. Last time out finished 11th over 1500m at Deauville All Weather. Not likely to play a role.

Summary: NOELLE (4) recorded a 1.5L victory in a track and trip claiming handicap. Taken to complete a double. Supplemented runner AMAZON PRINCE (3) rates a threat on the back of a 2.75L third over course and distance. Include. HAPPY DREAM (1) placed third beaten 1.5L here attempting the journey. Tried to make all that day. Shortlisted. Debuting for a new trainer RED TORCH (2) is another to consider following a 2L fourth tackling 1300m here.

Race 4 – PRIX RAUBA CAPEU –  2500m HCP CL2. Purse EUR €50,000.

  1. BYFORD – Broke a drought when he scored last start over 2500m at Deauville All Weather. Confidence back and is one of the leading players.
  2. PICNIC ROYAL – Finished midfield last start at this track over 2150m, 3 lengths from the winner. Jumps up in journey today. Likely to find this out of reach.
  3. ELECTRON LIBRE – Only managed to finish eighth over the shorter 2150m journey at this track when resuming last start. Is a second up winner in the past but looks tested again.
  4. ALWAYS WELCOME – Registered his second minor placing in a row last time when third over 2500m at this track. Racing well and can feature.
  5. GLACIER PEAK – Bidding for a hat-trick of wins after scoring by a head over 2400m here on the All Weather on January 22. In great form and should be right in the thick of things again.
  6. HELIOPOLIS – Beaten 1.2 lengths into third at Deauville All Weather two starts ago then appeared at this track last time and finished 4.5 lengths from the winner in fifth. Sure to be thereabouts.
  7. JOLI COUP – Better run last start when 0.8 lengths adrift in second over 2150m at this track. Genuine hope on latest effort.
  8. GIPSY JET SEPT – Seven-year-old gelding with multiple wins at this journey. Good effort but found a couple better last time out, beaten a neck over 2400m here on the All Weather. Terrific chance in a suitable contest.
  9. BENE BENE – Scored a well-earned win last time by 0.8 lengths over 2000m here on the All Weather. Sure to be in the finish again.
  10. HAPPY HARRY – Back sharply in trip last time and didn’t feature when ninth over 2150m at this track. Better off looking at others.
  11. NAISHAN – Finished third over 3200m at Chantilly All Weather two back then missed the frame last time out over 3400m at Deauville All Weather. Sure to be thereabouts.
  12. MY LENNY – Not firing at all recently, the latest effort a 6 length eighth over 2400m at Cagnes-sur-Mer All Weather on January 22. Making up the numbers.
  13. RANDONNEUR – Easily beaten at his last run before spelling and didn’t fare any better when resuming over 2150m at this track three weeks ago, beaten 7 lengths into 13th. Can’t see him turning things around.
  14. SHAMSABAD – Now 609 days without a win, the latest effort a sixth over 2150m at this track, beaten 2.5 lengths. Won’t find this easy.
  15. HILLARANTE – Won first up at Lyon-la-Soie but couldn’t repeat the feat last start when ninth over 2150m at this track. Great chance to atone.
  16. AKYO – Ran a better race last start to finish second over 2400m here on the All Weather. Among the chances.

Summary: BENE BENE (9) won by 0.75L in a 2000m AW handicap at this circuit. Taken to defy a 2.5kg rise in weights revisiting turf. ALWAYS WELCOME (4) looks a big danger following a 2.5L third in a 2500m conditions event at this track. GLACIER PEAK (5) enters calculations on the back of a head victory tackling a 2400m AW handicap here. In the mix. Top weight BYFORD (1) produced a 1.5L success contesting a 2500m AW handicap at this circuit. Consider for the win. HELIOPOLIS (6) holds claims.

Race 5 – PRIX BOGEVE –  2000m CL3 QUALIF HCP. Purse EUR €16,000.

  1. ILONAS DINOSAUR – Finished fifth last start over 2000m at this track when he had to contend with an awkward draw. Consider.
  2. MAGNETIQUE – Hit the frame two starts ago but couldn’t match it last time when 11th and beaten 15 lengths over 2150m on turf here. Worth another chance.
  3. ALPAGE – Has looked good in his six career starts, most recently scoring by 1.5 lengths over 2000m at this track. One of the major players.
  4. SAYANN – Hasn’t done much in recent times, the latest effort a 13th over 2150m on turf here beaten 9 lengths. Prefer others.
  5. AZACHOP – Finished just 1.2 lengths away in third last start over 2000m at this track. Solid prospects.
  6. MANNE – Has been out of the money recently including last time when seventh over 2000m at this track eight days ago, beaten 5 lengths. Expect she will make amends.
  7. LE QUEEN – Placed two starts back at Marseille Vivaux but couldn’t back that up when unplaced over 2000m at this track last time. Great chance to atone.
  8. YOUM IN LOVE – Resumes today after filling a minor placing four times from seven starts in his maiden campaign. At the latest outing he finished second over 1900m at Deauville All Weather on October 20 2021. Deserves plenty of thought.
  9. MIRAGE REVE – Has struggled to find form this season, including last start when he finished 5.5 lengths from the winner in 14th over 1500m on turf here. Likely to be peaking now.
  10. MAX VERST – Hasn’t done much in recent times, the latest effort a 11th over 2150m on turf here beaten 3 lengths. Not keen.
  11. CASLANA – Finished midfield last start on turf here over 1500m, 8 lengths from the winner. Taking on this longer journey for the first time. Will need to do a bit more.

Summary: ALPAGE (3) won by 1.5L in a 2000m contest at this venue. Selected to follow up. ILONAS DINOSAUR (1) placed twice prior to a 6L fifth in that 2000m event. Warrants close consideration. MIRAGE REVE (9) finished down field attempting 1500m on turf here. May show improved form up in trip switching to the AW. LE QUEEN (7) placed third in a 1500m claimer at Marseille-Vivaux on his penultimate start. Worth noting.

Race 6 – PRIX DE PUYRICARD –  1500m MDN. Purse EUR €23,000.

  1. HAARICIA – Finished midfield last start at Chantilly All Weather over 1300m, 9 lengths from the winner. Tackles a longer journey this time. Hard to have on present form.
  2. CAMPBELL – Was safely held on debut last start when fifth and beaten 6 lengths over 2000m here on the All Weather. Holds claims with the benefit of that run.
  3. INDIAN GOLD – Nice return last start when runner-up at this track over 1500m on January 18. Hard to beat.
  4. SYRAH SILVER – Looking to improve on a very ordinary sixth when resuming here on the All Weather over 1600m two weeks ago. Prepared to overlook.
  5. DANSEUSE CELEBRE – Resumes after a spell of ten weeks. Has finished eighth in both career starts, the latest over 1900m at Deauville All Weather. Prefer others.
  6. GIRAFFE – Had to contend with a wide draw at her latest run and finished out of the placings over 1600m here on the All Weather.
  7. ENJOY THE SHOW – Turned in a fine effort on debut last start when third at this track over 1500m. Will take a lot from that run. Looks hard to beat.
  8. ELAUNEIL – Turned in a nice debut over 1500m at this track last time finishing 1.5 lengths from the winner in second. Has ability and worth following.
  9. OPIANA – Returned from a spell with a sound third last start over 1500m at this track. Strips fitter and can play a role in the finish.

Summary: ELAUNEIL (8) debuted with a 1.5L second in a 1500m newcomers race here. Taken to break her maiden at the second attempt. ENJOY THE SHOW (7) placed third beaten 1.5L in the previously mentioned contest. Expected to deliver another big effort. INDIAN GOLD (3) performed well when 2.5L second over course and distance. Shortlisted. OPIANA (9) took a step forward when 4.25L third tackling 1500m here. Consider.
