Race 1 – PRIX DU CARREFOUR DU CHENE SEC –  1600m CL2. Purse EUR €34,000.

  1. GAME ON – Average effort last start when seventh and beaten 7 lengths over 1500m at Deauville All Weather. Capable of much better and cannot be underestimated.
  2. GRAND GIOMAR STEP – Good effort last start to win his maiden over 1500m at this track at just his second appearance by a head. Fitter and is a top chance again.
  3. LES TROIS VALLEES – Shooting for a hat-trick of wins after scoring by one length over 1600m at Toulouse on November 27. Going well and is in the mix.
  4. KENDLY – Promising colt who did well to finish third on debut then backed that up with a nice win last time over 1600m at Bordeaux. Progressive type who is a strong top-three hope.
  5. SWORD SONG – Scored over 1800m at Longchamp last start when lining up for the first time. Promising type who will be hard to hold out again.
  6. KARELIA – Better effort last start to finish third over 1500m at Deauville All Weather when lining up for just the second time. Among the leading chances.
  7. MAGIC DARIYA – Form since resuming has been quite poor including a sixth at the latest appearance over 1400m at Nancy. Not keen.
  8. SIXTUS – Two-year-old colt who collected his first minor placing in a maiden at this track last start. Likely to find this a bit tougher and others appeal more. Place.
  9. BEHATI – Well held on debut over 1500m Saint-Cloud when sixth beaten 13 lengths. Doubt she will trouble these.

Summary: SWORD SONG (5) is taken to complete a double following a head win in a newcomers race over 1800m at Longchamp. KARELIA (6) looks a big threat on the back of a 1.25L third at Deauville AW attempting 1500m. GRAND GIOMAR STEP (2) delivered a head victory in a 1500m maiden here. Shortlist. GAME ON (1) came home 7.75L last of seven tackling 1500m at Deauville AW. Better expected in this event.

Race 2 – PRIX DE LA PISTE D’AVILLY –  1600m HCP CL3. Purse EUR €16,000.

  1. MUCH STYLE – Has been out of the money in recent runs including last time out when 11th over 1800m at Lyon-la-Soie six weeks ago beaten 7 lengths. Right race to return to form.
  2. MANAVI – Offered little last start when friendless in betting over 1950m at Le Mans. Makes no appeal.
  3. PLENTY CITY – Went down by 0.6 lengths when third at this track over 1600m last time out. Coralie Pacaut retains the ride. Will take beating.
  4. HOT SUMMER – Is coming back sharply in trip after he finished eighth last start over 2500m at Le Croise-Laroche. Expect a strong showing.
  5. MISTER CHARLIE – Ran a better race last start to finish second at this track over 1600m. Nicely placed and rates highly off that run. Further improvement expected.
  6. BARDO – Has a poor strike and failed to improve on it last start when he finished 11th over 1100m at Le Croise-Laroche.
  7. LOVELY ANGEL – Consistent filly who is generally about the money. Good effort when second last start at Amiens over 1650m. Will take plenty of beating.
  8. RUBIS GOLD – Has been struggling to find form including last start when 9 lengths from the winner in tenth over 1900m at Deauville All Weather. Must improve sharply.
  9. FEDE GALIZIA – Was well held last start finishing 12th over 2000m at Nancy. Unproven on this surface. Hard to assess.
  10. KENARTIC – Last start finished fifth over 1600m at this track. Well placed this time and should play a big role. Each way.
  11. FAMILY SMILE – Has been out of the money in recent runs including last time out when 14th over 1400m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago beaten 8 lengths. Little to offer.
  12. DALAKHOVA – Fitter for recent racing and looks close to a win after finishing fifth over 1400m at this track last time. Should measure up. Place.
  13. PALIMERO – Finds it hard to win. Has just two wins and nine placings from 33 starts. Better effort last time when sixth over 1600m at this track.
  14. AVENUE OF DREAMS – Disappointing last time when 13 lengths 13th at this track maintaining the maiden status after 11 runs. Tested again.
  15. GOT FROST – Has not been racing well lately the latest effort a 14th and beaten 14 lengths over 2100m at this track. Likely to struggle again.
  16. STRANGE ATTRACTION – Form either side of a break has been disappointing. Resumed last start and was beaten 14 lengths over 2150m at Lyon-la-Soie. Expect she’ll find this too tough.
  17. FEELIN LUCKY – Still a maiden after finishing tenth last start over 1800m at this track. Maybe a place hope.

Summary: LOVELY ANGEL (7) placed second beaten 4L attempting a 1650m handicap at Amiens. Selected to record a third career success. PLENTY CITY (3) ran 0.5L third in a 1600m handicap here. Looks up to playing a role. MISTER CHARLIE (5) came home second beaten a neck in the aforementioned contest. Rates a big threat. MUCH STYLE (1) holds claims having shown good form prior to a 7.75L eleventh over 1800m at Lyon-la-Soie.

Race 3 – PRIX DE L’ECLUSE DE CREIL –  1900m HCP CL3. Purse EUR €16,000.

  1. STRANGER – Has been out of the money in recent runs including last time out when 14th over 1400m at Toulouse nine days ago beaten 10 lengths. Capable of sharp improvement down in grade.
  2. BEAMA – Yet to strike form this campaign. Well held in both runs including last start when tenth over 2100m at this track. Fitter and rates well here. Could find best.
  3. ANANTA – Last appeared when she finished 13th over 1650m at Amiens on November 12. Rates highly this time.
  4. SALERNO – Consistent gelding who is generally about the money. Good effort when second last start at this track over 2100m. Will take plenty of beating.
  5. SWEET MASTER – Continued his solid form last time out when second over 2000m at Nancy 2.5 lengths from the winner. Going well and another bold showing is expected.
  6. FIRST BIRST – Has been out of the money of late including last time out when seventh over 1900m at Deauville All Weather a month ago beaten 10 lengths. In the mix.
  7. TOP GLORY – Was below his best last time finishing eighth and beaten 4.5 lengths over 2100m at this track. Will need to improve significantly.
  8. ANATH – Ran a better race last start to finish third at Nancy over 2000m. Nicely placed and rates highly off that run. Further improvement expected.
  9. KARIOITAHI – Has been out of the winner’s list for 21 months. Recent form below par including a last-start eighth over 1600m at this track. Can’t see her featuring in the finish.
  10. AVOIDING CHARLES – Didn’t inspire again last start beaten 6 lengths over 2100m at Pornichet. Needs to improve sharply.
  11. MINNEHAHA – Has not been racing well lately the latest effort a 15th and beaten 12 lengths over 2100m at this track. Unlikely to threaten.
  12. MAKENZO – Last start finished ninth over 1900m at Deauville All Weather beaten 14 lengths. Others rate better.
  13. KAHOUNA – Has recorded just one win from 16 career starts. Finished 11 lengths back in fourth at her latest appearance over 2250m at Niort. Capable on her day and can feature without surprising. Each way.
  14. INTO THE ROCK – Has been out of the money in recent runs including last time out when 11th over 1900m at Deauville All Weather a month ago beaten 6 lengths. Major player.
  15. NEVER WITHOUT YOU – Has been out of the money of late including last time out when fourth over 2100m at this track a week-and-a-half ago beaten 2.75 lengths. Can turn things around.
  16. TAX EXILE – Struggling for form of late the latest effort a 7 length 12th over 1600m at this track. Tested on recent form.
  17. REINE DE LUNE – Finished third over 1900m at this track two back then missed the frame last time out over 1800m at this track.

Summary: SWEET MASTER (5) finished 2.5L second over 2000m at Nancy. Selected to go one better. SALERNO (4) is expected to provide another big performance having missed by a head when runner-up attempting 2100m here. ANATH (8) makes the shortlist after managing 3L third in a 2000m claiming handicap at Nancy. STRANGER (1) can deliver an improved effort down in grade following several heavy defeats.

Race 4 – PRIX DE LA PISTE DES LIONS –  1600m HCP CL2. Purse EUR €50,000.

  1. LE NOMADE – Lightly raced gelding who progressed nicely last start with a win by 0.8 lengths over 1600m at this track. Likely to feature.
  2. SIMONS KING – Last appeared nine weeks ago when he finished 11 lengths from the winner in 15th over 1600m at Longchamp. Worth noting he filled a minor placing first-up last prep at Bordeaux over 1600m. Win would surprise.
  3. DAR TOUNGI – Resumed from a spell last start with a fourth over 1600m at this track. Usually performs well second-up and can feature in the finish.
  4. BILLABONG CAT – Missed the frame two back when fifth at Longchamp but turned in a better effort last time to finish in the money over 2000m at Marseille-Borely. Sure to be in the finish.
  5. NORDESTE – Placed two back then ran below his best last time when 15th and beaten 11 lengths at this track over 1600m. This no easier and others rate better.
  6. CIRANO – Was strongly fancied last start and broke through for his maiden win over 1600m at Pau All Weather. Fitter and worth following up.
  7. CELESTINE – Won Deauville All Weather three runs back but she hasn’t been able to go on with it. Leaning to others today.
  8. ROCK JOYEUX – Has been out of the money recently including last time out when sixth over 2100m at this track a week-and-a-half ago beaten 3.5 lengths. Expect he will make amends.
  9. PUERTO MADERO – Moderate effort to finish ninth last time over 1400m at this track when fresh from a spell. Steps up in distance today. Looks tested again.
  10. CENTRAL PARK WEST – A winning run was broken last time out when he finished third over 2100m at this track although only 0.8 lengths from the winner. Worth another chance.
  11. ROBERTO MOUNT – Yet to break through this campaign but hasn’t been far away including a last start third over 1600m at this track. Rates highly and can measure up.
  12. CICCIO BOY – Put the writing on the wall last start when he finished a close second at this track over 1600m. Expected to be competitive.
  13. BABA SIM – Has not raced since finishing 12 lengths away in 16th over 1200m at Chantilly on September 17. Hasn’t shown enough.
  14. AGAPI MIA – Wasn’t expected to do much when fresh from a spell last start at this track over 1600m and wound up in fifth beaten 2 lengths. Place.
  15. GO TO HOLLYWOOD – Back sharply in trip last time and didn’t feature when 12th over 1600m at this track. Unlikely to threaten these.
  16. BLACK TRACK – Finished midfield last start at Toulouse over 1400m 10 lengths from the winner. Steps up in distance today. Strong contender on his best form.

Summary: Top weight LE NOMADE (1) is taken to complete a double following a 0.75L victory over course and distance. BILLABONG CAT (4) came home a head second in a competitive 2000m handicap at Marseille-Borely. Looks up to challenging for the win. CENTRAL PARK WEST (10) enters calculations on the back of a 0.75L third in a 2100m claimer here. The application of blinkers may see ROBERTO MOUNT (11) record a third win at this venue following a 1L third tackling track and trip behind the main selection.

  2. CATAPUM – Struggling to break through this campaign beaten 4 lengths last start when sixth over 1400m at Toulouse. Capable of more.
  3. THE BIG SHORT – Has looked good in his nine career starts most recently scoring by a long neck over 1800m at this track. Key chance expected to feature.
  4. DARIYANGEL – Yet to find the frame in two runs the latest when fifth over 1900m at Deauville All Weather. Unlikely to threaten.
  5. TIGRR – Consistent colt but hasn’t won for a while. Put the writing on the wall last time over 2000m at Nancy when third and beaten 1.75 lengths. Going well and is one of the leading chances.
  6. WOOZLE – Promising colt who last start finished 3.5 lengths away in fourth over 2000m at Longchamp. Likely to feature.
  7. LUNE DE RIO – Stepping up in trip after finishing fourth over 1600m at Saint-Cloud last time out. Finds a nice race this time and is expected to go well.
  8. TWO DOOR SALOON – Last appeared when she finished seventh over 1800m at Lyon-la-Soie on October 26. Fully tested on her recent run.
  9. LAGOA SANTA – Hit and miss type who improved last start to finish second over 2100m at Pornichet. Can continue her ascendency.
  10. AZADORE – Did little on debut when beaten 52 lengths into eighth over 2000m at Nancy. Others look better prospects.
  11. GUADALEST – Ran a better race last start to finish second over 1900m at Deauville All Weather. Won’t be far away.

Summary: THE BIG SHORT (3) won by a neck attempting 1800m in a handicap here. Selected to deliver a double having been supplemented for this race. LUNE DE RIO (7) is expected to go well following a 4L fourth in a 1600m conditions event at Saint-Cloud. TIGRR (5) showed good form when 1.5L third over 2000m at Nancy. Could prove dangerous on AW debut. WOOZLE (6) finished 3.5L fourth tackling 2000m at Longchamp. Warrants close consideration.

  2. WORTH A TEAM – Last appeared when he finished tenth over 1600m at Lyon-Parilly on November 10. Expected to bounce back.
  3. KHAHIRA – Has looked good in her nine career starts most recently scoring by 1.5 lengths over 1900m at Deauville All Weather. Key chance expected to feature.
  4. SARELLO – Lightly raced colt progressing well. Broke his maiden status last start by a neck over 1700m at Pornichet. Shapes up nicely.
  5. SHANGHAI ME – Solid effort last start beaten 1.75 lengths into fourth over 2000m at Pau All Weather. Cannot be disregarded.
  6. ROYAL POST OFFICE – Comes here after finishing eighth last time at this track and distance beaten 3.5 lengths. Looking to others.
  7. EVER MUCHACHA – Has been out of the money recently including last time out when ninth over 1400m at this track two-and-a-half weeks ago beaten 4.5 lengths.
  8. MUSICANA – Wasn’t expected to do much when fresh from a spell last start at this track over 1500m and wound up in tenth beaten 9 lengths. Looks tested on the first up effort.

  11. ALROUCHA – Rarely far away at this trip. Eight-start maiden who finished third over 1900m at Deauville All Weather last time. Best efforts give her a live chance.
  12. LONDON WAY – Finished out of the money over 1900m at Deauville All Weather beaten 6L. Is down 0.5kg and may improve to be a place chance.
  13. CEDRE – Unplaced in seven starts since resuming. Beaten 27 lengths into 13th over 1400m at this track at his last appearance. Won’t feature on current form.

Summary: KHAHIRA (3) has won two of her past three starts including by 1.5L over 1900m at Deauville AW. Looks capable of defying a 2.5kg rise in weights. IRISH GLITTER (10) makes the shortlist on initial handicap outing following a head second attempting 1800m in a claimer at Lyon-la-Soie. Better is expected from WORTH A TEAM (2) who ran 24L last of ten over 1600m at Lyon-Parilly delivering handicap debut. ALROUCHA (11) placed third beaten 3.5L in a 1900m contest at Deauville AW. Consider for the win.

  2. ALEXEJ – Put the writing on the wall last start when he finished a close second at this track over 1600m. Shapes as a key runner.
  3. ROMANTIC ROSE – Hasn’t made her mark in two runs since a spell the latest when beaten 4.5 lengths into tenth over 1800m at this track. Has ability but must find a little more.
  4. DREAM FOR ALL – Confidence is high after winning most recently as favourite on November 16 at this track over 1600m. Has won two races at this track and distance. Rates highly and will prove tough to beat.
  5. VIF DES AIGLES – Broke through three starts back but has failed to go on with it in recent times. Receives 1.5kg claim but still hard to enthuse.
  6. INDYA – Has been in the market but safely held at her last couple of starts the latest when eighth over 1900m at Deauville All Weather. Must improve sharply.
  7. DETESNOUVELLES – Hasn’t done much in recent times the latest effort a 11th over 1200m at Fontainebleau beaten 10 lengths. Looks tested against this line-up.
  8. INATTENDU – Scored at Clairefontaine two starts ago. Last time out found one better over 1700m at Marseille-Borely one length from the winner. Certainly worth another chance.
  9. PERTUSATO – Last start winner over 1600m at this track after recording a close second two starts back at this track. Sure to prove hard to beat again.
  10. BELLE EVASION – Good effort to finish third last time out over 1400m on turf at Fontainebleau beaten 4 lengths. First try on AW. Worth following up.
  11. HIGH REVENGE – Has been going well but didn’t measure up last start when 12th over 1600m at this track.
  12. ASIAN PEARL – Disappointing last time finishing sixth beaten 10 lengths over 1400m at Le Mans. Much better the start prior. Can feature if finds a bit more.
  13. PETERHOF – In the money two starts back at Longchamp but couldn’t back that up when unplaced over 1350m at Lyon-Parilly last time. Place.
  14. ROMANELLO – Unable to find the winners’ circle this campaign. Last start was beaten 8 lengths into 14th over 1600m at this track. Prepared to risk.
  15. HEAL THE WORLD – Second up after a fine return last start finishing just a neck off the winner over 1500m at Marseille Vivaux. Sure to be right there at the business end.
  16. SCREEN SHOT – Building up to a maiden win. In the money for the first time last start when third over 1650m at Amiens. Sure to be about the mark.
  17. TORIANO – Hasn’t been able to break through for over a year the latest offering a 16th over 2000m at Saint-Cloud. Has ability and can feature on his best form.

Summary: ALEXEJ (2) missed out by a head to a subsequent winner in a handicap over course and distance. Looks up to making amends. INATTENDU (8) suffered a head defeat when runner-up attempting 1700m at Marseille-Borely. Holds strong claims of going one better. DREAM FOR ALL (4) could be thereabouts having won for the third time at this track finding success by a neck tackling a track and trip event. HEAL THE WORLD (15) returned from a lengthy absence with a short-head third in a 1500m contest at Marseille-Vivaux. Enters calculations debuting for a new trainer.
