The top rated 16 horses are all guaranteed a start in the $1m Kranji Mile (G1) 1600m with Singapore’s highest rated horse GRAND KOONTA (103) likely to line up over the 1600m trip for the first time in his career.
Stepping back up to a more suitable trip, Derby winner and proven quality galloper TOP KNIGHT (100) may not enter as the highest rated horse but he will more than likely enter as the race favourite.
Lion City Cup winner LIM’S LIGHTNING (96) and runner up ROCKET STAR (91) both shape as major players, while Gold Cup winner BIG HEARTED (94) will attempt the Kranji Mile/Singapore Derby double this year.
