4. CLIFFS OF COMFORT backs up seven days after running out of his skin to almost win the Nicopolis Stakes over course and distance.
5. POSITION OF POWER is back from a six-week freshen up but he may find a couple too sharp for him over 1,200 metres.
10. PULI faces his toughest assignment but he should race on speed on the limit weight.
BELMONT RACE 8
1. VITAL SILVER is the highest rated runner in the race, posted the fastest last 200 metres of the Jolly Beggar Stakes and maps to get a nice run.
2. FREE TRADE produced a career-best effort to win the Idyllic Prince Stakes and 1,200m may be his ideal trip.
3. MASSIMO was heading for Kalgoorlie’s Hannans Handicap but his Belmont barrier draw makes it tempting for him to stay in Perth.
11. STAGEMAN somehow remains without a black type win and the odds are against him enjoying a clear passage first up.

1. REBEL KNIGHT trialled well behind Black Heart Bart Stakes runner Stageman, goes okay fresh and appeals more than any other galloper in an open race.
7. BEDOUIN BELLE has placed on each of her last four starts and gate one is advantageous given her pattern.
2. DON’S LEGACY led all the way to win over course and distance two starts ago and may find the front again.
8. EXPRESSIONIST is lightly raced and open to improvement but he is a swooper dropping in trip and teaming up with an apprentice for the first time.
